Mark Lazar always dreamed that one day he would be somebody in the music business who can make the difference in his generation. With guitar in hand, Mark headed off to Hollywood California, as many do to get discovered and achieve his dream of being acclaim by his talent. Head strong and focused, he refused to take ‘no’ for an answer. In 2011 Mark developed an impressionistic way to create music and named his new group Back Up Sun. Their goal is to take their music to a larger and diverse audience and achieve worldwide recognition. His hard worked began to take shape and he wrote and recorded new songs. He is currently working on their new EP and are excited to pre-release their single “Amazing” as a true indicator to the depth of their writing style and their vision as musicians and as songwriters. True to who Mark truly is, “Amazing” depicts his journey through the music business and the time spent away from his family and friends chasing after his ultimate goal. Clearly knowing the difficulties getting ahead, his focus and determination was just as strong back then as it is today all the while his family has always been in his mind. The song’s rhythm is brought to audiences by a quick based tempo giving it a sense of motion. The vocals are dramatic, emotional with a rough edge to it giving the song a layered, textured feel. BackUpSun’s writing style is utilizing catchy melodies with lyrical magic and great sing-able riffs. Their music is magnetic and irresistible giving audiences a refreshing new pop/rock sound.
