new skip to loafer chapter just got uploaded. life is beautiful once again. the world would be a better place if everyone read skip to loafer I think. I wish the dinosaurs hadn’t been hit by that meteor so they too could’ve enjoyed reading it.
oikawa can say he hates tobio all day long but I KNOW YOU’RE PROUD OF YOUR KOUHAI! he teases him all the time but we all know he took the time to help tobio out when he needed it!! we all know oikawa cares!! their dynamic is so silly to me like cousins on opposite sides of the family that “hate” each other but still care for one another…love these guys
i have heard about this series for a long time, but for some reason, i didn't see it until recently. although the big plot twist was spoiled for me (i'm sure everyone knows what i'm talking about), i still wanted to try the series!
the first episode was one of the best pilots i have ever seen for a series. it managed to hook you in in a short amount of time, full of drama and suspense every minute. i knew from that first ep i was going to be full of so much tension watching!
i loved watching satoru do his best to give kayo a chance to live. she was such a sweet girl that i became attached to her immediately. it takes a village to save someone's life, and it was beautiful to see the group of friends kayo made throughout the series.
although it was stressful, it was such a great decision to have satoru's chance at fixing the past fail the first time. given with how much was at stake, i figured that merely changing the date of her death wouldn't be enough to keep her alive, which ended up being true.
i also really liked how yashiro was written. although i already knew he was the killer, I could see some instances that hinted he was the one to blame, but his charismatic nature made it easy for no one to suspect him. he had information on all the students, and given how trustworthy he was, it was no wonder he could succeed the first two times.
in my opinion, the ending of the series was very well done. i know some people disliked how kayo didn't "wait" for satoru, but i feel that their romance was irrelevant. kayo needed someone to save her, and satoru was the one who was determined to do it. i loved seeing kayo get her happy ending with a family that loves her unconditionally.
i also loved how satoru was at peace knowing for those 15 years he was in a coma, that those friends he saved were able to live their lives peacefully. although it came at a cost, satoru had already lived a lifetime without those friends full of burden. this time, he was able to save his friends and begin a new life.
overall, i could see why this series remains as popular as it is! it was an incredible watch full of emotion and suspense!! i'm glad i finally gave it a watch, and i hope more people get to see it!
every time we get new kagehina official art i get reminded of how much furudate loves his characters. like yes, i’m super happy we got this beautiful piece of artwork but it’s also an amazing reminder that furudate feels the same way i do…to know that so many others, including the author himself love kageyama & hinata so much makes me so emotional. I LOVE HAIKYUU!!!!!
ao haru ride has such a special place in my heart. kou & futaba’s development as a couple and as individuals is so beautiful. kou had been through so much and even though it was painful, he decided to walk his own path to happiness. futaba was kou’s hero. she never gave up on him even when they weren’t talking. she always wanted to support and be by his side. she’s so loving and her vulnerability is so brave. i love them so so much!!!
one of the many things i love about haikyuu is the care furudate puts into each character. obviously the main characters are tobio & shoyo, but throughout the series we see the other members of karasuno and the other characters on different teams in hq have their own goals & dreams. i think it’s such a big sign of great writing when so many fans of hq have multiple favorite characters besides the ones on karasuno. characters like oikawa, kita, akaashi, bokuto, suga, & hirugami are my favorites because of how well written they are. they are so memorable, relatable, & so easy to love. it’s amazing to see a series where side characters don’t FEEL insignificant. they have their own goals and flaws like the main characters. furudate is so talented!!
literally them.
this post explains exactly how i feel about skip and loafer. it changed my life 🫂
the amount of impact reading skip and loafer has had and how it has trickled throughout my life and the way i perceive myself/others. i started reading when i was freshly 17 and 2 years later i can genuinely see and map out the way it's influenced my perspective on life and how that's changed over time. i know it's really cheesy but i was so afraid of everything and a complete mess mentally back then. it was one of the first things that reminded me human connection/connection to myself is actually a wonderful thing worth trying to get better for. the amount of love and honesty infused into the way these characters are written is just so beautiful and i regularly go back to read that translation of the takamatsu interview because i love the way she describes her thought processes. i'm just incredibly grateful to have come across it when i did :-D.....thank u skipulofa for changing my life....
this is so fucking funny
