Day 14 of my Women’s History Month art challenge! (Six days late :,D)

Rachel Pidgley from The Glass Scientists by @arythusa !! I LOVE tgs, it got me really into Jekyll and Hyde as a whole, and it’s also been a big art inspiration for me these past few years. Rachel is great, she’s a very fun, interesting character, and love that she seems to get along with (almost) everyone. The background is based on her kitchen, specifically what’s visible of it on page 15 of chapter 3, since I love the colors and the warm atmosphere, it looks very cozy in there :]

Day 15 of my Women’s History Month art challenge! (Eight days late :,])

It’s been a minute since I’ve played Don’t Starve, and I haven’t played as Wendy too much, but I like her design and her backstory. Abigail is cool too, I like what we see of her personality in the animated short.

Day 13 (3 days late) of my Women’s History Month art challenge

Mizu from Blue Eye Samurai!! She’s is such a complex character. I think it’s fascinating that she wants revenge against her father essentially for bringing her into existence (and on her mother’s behalf as well ofc). Wanting revenge against someone specifically because they created you opposed to revenge against someone who took something away is so interesting, I don’t think I’ve really seen that before. In addition to being a super complex character, her fight scenes are also just very, very fun to watch. Looking forward to season 2!!

I’m working on commissions rn, and I’m still chipping away at the GLaDOS waking up comic, but I wanna draw GLaDOS

Days 10 and 11 of my Women’s History Month art challenge!

Alphys and Undyne!! I haven’t played Undertale in years but I was obsessed with it in like 6th grade, I really need to replay it sometime. These two were and are very very cute together :]

OOP HI!! It’s been at least a year since I last posted (whoops) 😭

But I’ve been wanting to do a little art challenge for Women’s History Month, inspired by the challenge @southpauz does for Black History Month (go look at her art btw she’s amazing!!!). I figured this year, of all years, was a good time to finally actually do it. So I’ll be trying to do a drawing of a different female character each day this month! Hopefully!! We’ll see if I can keep up with it!!!

I’m already a day late, but for day 1 I’m doing my own character, Tuesday. This is also a re-draw of an older piece from (I think) 2020.

One more thing I might do is put these designs up on RedBubble. I had a thought that maybe I could donate like 50% of the profits to a charity. Still figuring out which one, maybe planned parenthood or something similar. If anyone has any recommendations please lmk! I’ll do my own research on a few options too.

Day 6 (two days late!! Whoops!!) of my Women’s History Month art challenge!

So, admittedly I haven’t finished watching season 2 of Arcane yet, I’m on like episode 3 of it. I will try to finish it soon though!! So this is specifically Mel from season 1, since idk if she has any major outfit changes or anything in season 2 (but I think she does, based on a spoiler-y image I saw while looking for reference images oop).

Anyways, I really like Mel! I think she’s a super interesting character and I adore her design. I tried to sort of combine the show’s style and mine, and I think it works but I’d also definitely like to practice drawing her more.

Day 4 (a day late) of my Women’s History Month art challenge!

Lup!! It’s been several years since I’ve listened to TAZ, but I adored Balance. Lup wasn’t there for much of it, but I loved what we got to see of her. I’m excited for her to show up in the graphic novels :] as with yesterday’s drawing, I’ve actually cosplayed her before. The design of her hair and the Phoenix Fire Gauntlet here are both inspired by that cosplay.
