Wait what's a buildings fire evacuation plan if you aren't supposed to use the elevator to get down
omfg why
Everyone needs to know this exists
wtf 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
If you see a police car or a cop with a speaker looking thing on it, FUCKING RUN. It’s known as an LRAD (Long Range Acoustic Device), a device that, when activated, can permanently damage your hearing and cause serious harm. If you’re too close, you’ll be left in a lot of pain and squirming on the ground permanently deaf. Ear plugs do not work. Unless you have one of those shooting range headphones, you do not stand a chance against them. Again, if you see them pull up, RUN. This is what they look like.
I don't usually get to use my tagalog or even show people that I CAN speak it but I've heard many things about racism in the United States and I am TERIFFIED because of how much I hear about it. I have plans to work in the medical field and my mama said that I should study and work in America because you get paid more. Not very excited...
I think the racism happens because the country allows it to, learning new languages allows you to appreciate how different the world is and get used to the diverse sounds of languages. Since there is a great limit and not much support going into having people be fluent in foreign languages this doesn't happen.
Not only that, without the experience of trying to be fluent in one language there is a lack of appreciation for people who HAVE to become fluent in English inorder to better the lives of themselves, family and their descendants.
My parents come from the philippines and immigrated to the UK, my mom speaks to people because my dad tends to struggle with things like "he or she" because there is just "sya" for both genders and can't remember singular words for ideas which are seen as basic to English speakers but is still considered fluent because you could hardly tell unless you've known him a long time.
Here's the real kicker, they're trilingual. Both my parents speak their local language (I can only understand a word or two per sentence 😅) , Tagalog AND English plus a good deal of Spanish (not enough to be fluent but could hold a conversation).
If the US just gave people more motivation to study languages then I feel like the racism would die down. Seriously, cutting down the foreign language studies is letting racism continue.
I'm not sure if it's died down at all or if it's increased since I'm not there to see it but considering the president's history... Uh...
I'm not so sure... (If I'm wrong I'm sorry, I've been immersing in work, books and duolingo)
Edit: I've gotta add this but, one time my family were walking to wagamama and we were conversing in tagalog when some dudes rode by saying "A ching Chong ching", excuse me? First off, just because we look Asian and speak a different language doesn't mean we're Chinese, I've had that before, I hate it. Second, I have and have had Chinese friends, if they heard you!!! I don't understand why you felt it necessary to do that, you're not going to achieve anything...
Me: I got an A+ on my Spanish tests like you wanted.
Parent: Really? Why didn't you get an A+ on you Math tests?
Me: I got an A+ on my English project!
Parent: oh yeah? Well why can’t you get an A+ on your Spanish tests?
11. You can speak to animals but they don't listen to you
The things I think up whenever I take a shower are strange, but I just had to write this down.
—————
1. You can time travel, but only when you sneeze. Imagine having allergies.
2. Laser eyes but you can never turn them off.
3. Laser eyes (the laser pointer type), and you can never turn them off. Imagine looking at someone in the eye and blinding them, or checking someone out and they wonder why there are two dots of light pointed at their chest.
4. Shape shifting but your’re stuck in Europe during the medieval era.
5. You can levitate but only when you sleep.
6. Go through solid objects, but you don’t know when. You can be sleeping on your bed on the top floor of a building and wake up inside the building’s basement.
7. You can find lost things easily but when you lose something, you will never find it again even if someone else found it for you.
8. No matter what you eat or drink, your body will stay physically healthy. Problem is, you’re always hungry and thirsty and you’re not satisfied by anything you eat or drink.
9. You can see the future but you can’t tell anyone what will happen.
10. You’re an immortal being. You’ve been sentenced for life in jail.

This explains some stories from family and ACAB... At least one takes alot of training to get!
