hi i know “don’t believe everything you read on tumblr” has been said enough times at this point in the website’s tenure but i want to specifically say that there is a problem on tumblr and other social media where well-known science enthusiast accounts basically build trust as Knowing Things and then they can say anything they want about those things & everyone just believes them. this is especially a problem among ppl posting about ecology & animal science in my experience.
i’m absolutely throwing stones in my own glass house bc i almost never used to include sources on my wildlife science posts on my old blog but these days i try to make a point of it & i think others should too.
i don’t even think anyone is lying or making things up on purpose. i think they’ve just heard it from another source they consider reliable & they’re spreading incorrect or incomplete information without questioning it, to a much larger platform. about ten years ago I myself made a post repeating something a wildlife professor said to me, which turned out to be outdated info and mostly inaccurate. i trusted him as a source, but i should have looked at the data before sharing it to a wider audience. it was an important lesson!
basically idc how many times popular content creators on here or any other site/app have been correct about other things in other posts. you should still make a habit of asking yourself “what’s the source?” even when it’s a blog you like & trust. bc let me tell ya, i have seen some doozies lately
Social anxiety be DAMNED I can make small talk with my hair dresser

Damian Wayne comes across a classic christmas carol known well among the children of gotham… pt [1/?]
"Friends dont look at friends that way" COWARD. I look at my friends with awe in my eyes, my chest is filled with love, im glowing because i get to be near my friends. I look at my friends and i would give them my everything. SO SKILL ISSUE, look at your friends with all the love that you have
Reverse robins is an interesting concept that's being do underutilised it hurts. Just because the order of them being adopted and their ages are reversed doesn't mean that major events are set in stone; just because Tim was adopted second doesn't mean he would've died, or that he would become the red hood. Jason died because he felt like being bruce's son hinged on him being robin, and so went to find his mother that sold him to the joker. Tim doesn't come from Jason's background, he doesn't NEED to be told he's loved to get it, and he was still bruce's robin when his parents were still alive so it doesn't make sense giving him the secret bio mom thing.
Also Tim wouldn't become the red hood and set up shop in crime alley because why the fuck would he? what connection does he have to that place? He's the most practical robin, so if he was to have a red hood esque character, he would never even reveal himself to the public, just operate behind the scenes. Jason's dramatics are a call for attention from bruce. That's his whole thing, wanting bruce to confirm his love and validation. Giving all of that to Tim is a disservice to both characters.
i literally dont care what your excuse for using AI is. if you didnt put your own effort into making it im not putting my own effort into interacting with it.
hot take: duke thomas and bruce wayne dont have a father-son relationship and thats fine! They have a mentor relationship in which Duke is learning from Bruce and doesn’t need him to replace his father.
I also don’t like the whole ‘bruce adopts duke’ thing either because… Duke has a family? He has a living mother who is now cured and a cousin he happily lives with.
You can still have plenty of lovely batfam moments with Duke included but not at the expense of the erasure of *his* family.
