I KNOW THIS IS A REALLY SERIOUS MOMENT BUT ALL I CAN THINK OF IS THE SONG AUGHHHH
Wanted to share a sonnet I wrote for class.
The story is that the moon is crashing into the earth and the world is ending. Two lesbians sneak away to watch the world end as they cry and comfort each other.
My favorite sonnet/poem I’ve wrote ever

OC LORE DROP!!!
- basic story follows Audrey Fields, who after mysteriously waking up after a car crash as if the moment were erased from existence, accidentally messes up the fabric of the universe real bad and becomes a walking contradiction in space and time :)
Let me introduce you to the main cast!!!!
Audrey fields (sapphic, she/her) - from bitchy popular girl to anxiety mess, breaks down constantly (both literally and figuratively in the sense that she’s literally collapsing into pure energy), someone give her some ibuprofen.
Minerva “Minnie” Moretti (lesbian, she/her) - a rough and tough troublemaker who fell out with Audrey a few years ago, forced to help Audrey after she sees her turn into an eldritch horror and then collapse.
Eloise Harper (straight, she/her)- Audrey’s bff since middle school, thy gossip so much and are besties, but Eloise can get jealous pretty quick.
Carter Davis (gay, he/him)- after his twins mysterious disappearance, he mistakes Audrey as a monster and despite his unconfident manner, aims to eliminate her before she can supposedly hurt anyone else.
Amber Davis (straight, she/her) - missing, current whereabouts unknown, only know to her twin that she was taken/ killed(?) by a glitchy, energy like being.
Jayden Lewis (bi, he/him)- stem student, helps Audrey and Minnie figure out how this strange universe of chance is affected by her powers, he’s really chill I like him.
Lea doan (aro ace, she/they)- cold stem student who’s friends with Jayden (maybe an anterior motive), knows about the whole situation unbeknownst to everyone else (she’s really smart) a bit of a control freak.
Forgot to mention this but I also love it when they end with all the kids back on the rollercoaster right before the curtains close. When they raise their arms up high, resuming the positions they had right before they died. They are entirely aware of what will happen to them, but they smile anyway because they’ve accepted it.
The best versions of its not a game/it's just a ride are the ones that feel unchoreographed. No forced dances, just the pure happiness of the choir as they spin and dance around the stage. They're all doing their own little silly things, cherishing their last moments with each other before moving into the unknown.
It's bittersweet, but the children have finally accepted their deaths, and they feel happy about them, that they got to make a change in someone else’s life and truly express themselves. They also know that whatever comes next, they're in it together. It's even better when they laugh and run and make tiny little jokes and give hugs. Reminds everyone that they're just kids in the end.
Only shows I've seen able to match this feeling are the Og, majestic rep, and mcarter (with yannick ofc) Algkfigkgigogi I love it so much 😭😭
