working on this obscure meta post on how people criticise dazai's actions of violence more than that of other PM members (namely akutagawa and Chuuya) because of the relationship between the audience and the weapon of choice, and how dazais lack of a supernatural way to enforce violence makes him more likely to receive criticism. Anyways anyone thats interested lmk???

Sometimes I just think it would be so funny if they actually gave the BSD characters creaky, high pitched teenage voices for the sequences where they are young teens.

Can you imagine Dazai trying to say some edgy shit and he has a voice crack? Or suddenly their voices sound much deeper in one episode?

Honestly I really think it would help hammer home just how young these characters are as well. Like-these children are not okay please get them some help.

augh i love the humanity themes w bsd but ive been thinking recently about yosano's ability and mori's exploitation of it in war as insight into fyodor because GOD. to take death away from humanity is to deprive them of the human right to die. the soldiers yosano was working with losing their minds, moving her place as angel from something like worship to this seething hatred. because by refusing them death, she has taken their very humanity from them

and with fyodor, who CANT die. who is killed and replaces his killer over and over and over for CENTURIES, his humanity is long gone. like almost everyone in bsd, hes searching for companionship - an equal. but he wont find one, because his humanity died a very very long time ago and he has abandoned any genuine path to get it back. like verlaine, he believes he can only find an equal in someone as inhuman as he is, but in both cases theyre Wrong about the person theyre seeking it from.

Chuuya and Ranpo inside Poe’s novel world. Chuuya trying to solve the mystery and then going fuck it and throwing hands. Also him just finally getting out covered in blood and seething.

Kunikida getting arrested.

I can just see the Agency celebrating and Minoura showing up like “hate to crash your party. But he’s coming with us.” Everyone fighting back until Kunikida turns himself in.

Fukuchi smuggling a coffin into the airport. Honestly any scene of him smuggling around Bram without anyone realising.

The conversation between Mori and the Agency after the boat fight. Fukuzawa learning who betrayed Ranpo and Atsushi. Atsushi in Akutagawa’s coat explaining what happened.

Two scenes from when Atsushi spent 2 weeks homeless. One from when he was human and one from when he was a tiger.

The first time someone woke up a sleeping Kenji. Since 55 minutes tell us that Kenji is terrifying to wake up.

Also on 55 minutes, Kunikida breaking into that meteorological bureau.

Sigma attacking and taking the memories of the page from Cheif Taneda.

Dazai and Ranpo discussing the Mersault plan. And Ango and Chuuya learning what their parts are.

Fukuchi seeing Fyodor doodling on the wall or whatever and deciding it means a world war is gonna happen.

This panel makes me so ill. Like what do you mean by those expressions, that face holding and held gaze? What do you mean by Chuuya's trust in you being a beautiful thing? What do you mean by the implication of your telepathic connection? Why would you bring up a prince waking up his princess "the wrong way" in that gentle softly teasing voice? What do you mean you would jump to your death and fight a dragon for him? What do you mean you trust him with keeping you safe from your unhinged suicide plans when you haven't even told him about said plan? What do you mean you will hold his head in your lap to protect him after and keep your hand in his hair just because you can? What do you mean that he is the only thing on your mind in the middle of corruption and not only is his name the only thing you have ever said in that state but you we're able to control your strength to not even bruise him? What do you MEAN I am not supposed to see this as a confirmation of there being something as genuine as love there when THIS is a canon event?
