You shut yourself away from the world, always content to stay within your own comfort zone. Life is easier that way, isn't it? You have nothing to be afraid of in your own space, you're completely untouchable... You probably like to fixate things; maybe you have a favorite game or show you immerse yourself in- maybe you even make your own. Anything to get away with the cold, hard truth of the world. Anything to avoid expectation. You often experience extreme bouts of anxiety, you are constantly afraid of failure in every aspect, so you try to place yourself in the position of avoidance as much as you can. There's no failure if you never try, right? You're most at peace when your mind is so busy that you don't have time to process your own pain and loneliness; in fact, you seem to only really be able to function that way. Truth is, you're immensely capable. This world has hurt you time and time again, but you need to get back on your feet. Rely on people around you to be your safe space; it will be okay. It's hard, I know, but you can face the world again, one small step at a time.

Is it lonely, feeling like there is always a glass wall between yourself and others? You see the world through a lens of contempt; not rooted in disgust, but in pity. A third-person spectator of society, you struggle to feel, at times, like you're human at all. Not in a sense that you're a monster or a creature, but that you are simply without which defines man. You watch the motions of existence with a dull sense of separation, untouchably. Even so, you're tired. You're exhausted. You wish it would all end, gently and quietly. You feel, in some sense, it would be a mercy to euthanize the world as a whole, even. You have already accepted that this is a lonely viewpoint, after all, it isn't possible anyone could truly see the world the same way. Not without going through your very same pain. Not without your same wisdom; to see the meaninglessness in human continuance, when we never learn from history. Further, no one else can keep up in a matter of intellect, anyway. Everyone around you is so, so... Dull. Even so, there is an ache inside you that yearns for some form of understanding, some form of companionship so, at least, you wouldn't need to watch the world destroy itself alone. Deep down, I know you're a person who cares so, so much. You're someone with far too much empathy for a heart to hold- have you ever thought, maybe, to direct that empathy towards yourself?

ranting part three

why do some (not all) bsd fans hate the female characters so much? i don’t get it. like, everybody hates teruko for just DOING HER JOB because she was fighting sigma. then people say, ‘oh, i don’t like her because her childish personality is annoying not because she’s a woman just TRYING TO DO HER JOB’ and then their favorite character is ranpo. or, people will hate a female character because she ‘gets in the way of their favorite ship’. if you haven’t seen this before i’m happy for you, but an example is ‘lucy gets in the way of sskk!!’ seriously? like, seriously? that is so fucking stupid. (saying this as a sskk/taniatsu shipper) just ship whatever you want and let that character exist. and to those who deny this, if lucy was a man and akutagawa was a woman you’d hate akutagawa because she ‘gets in the way of atsulucy’ there’s also the ‘oh, her only personality is liking a man!!’ when we were first introduced to katai his only personality trait was liking a woman and the fandom still loved him. i don’t like that in any character, but i’m willing to put up with it if the author fleshes out the character’s personality later. i absolutely despise the way this fandom treats female characters, yeah, some of their writing isn’t the best but they’re still necessary to the plot. this has been lou. i’m sorry for all the rants i’ve been doing recently, but i’m pissed about a lot of things. thank you for coming to my ted talk.

Some random scenes in Bsd that we hear about that I’d love to see:

Chuuya and Ranpo inside Poe’s novel world. Chuuya trying to solve the mystery and then going fuck it and throwing hands. Also him just finally getting out covered in blood and seething.

Kunikida getting arrested.

I can just see the Agency celebrating and Minoura showing up like “hate to crash your party. But he’s coming with us.” Everyone fighting back until Kunikida turns himself in.

Fukuchi smuggling a coffin into the airport. Honestly any scene of him smuggling around Bram without anyone realising.

The conversation between Mori and the Agency after the boat fight. Fukuzawa learning who betrayed Ranpo and Atsushi. Atsushi in Akutagawa’s coat explaining what happened.

Two scenes from when Atsushi spent 2 weeks homeless. One from when he was human and one from when he was a tiger.

The first time someone woke up a sleeping Kenji. Since 55 minutes tell us that Kenji is terrifying to wake up.

Also on 55 minutes, Kunikida breaking into that meteorological bureau.

Sigma attacking and taking the memories of the page from Cheif Taneda.

Dazai and Ranpo discussing the Mersault plan. And Ango and Chuuya learning what their parts are.

Fukuchi seeing Fyodor doodling on the wall or whatever and deciding it means a world war is gonna happen.

Kunikida’s perspective on being under the effects of Q’s ability.

I was wondering which rare pairs/underrated ships people love the most

These are the ships I personally don't see much around (especially F/F ships and Hetero ships)

There are a lot of other ships which are saved for the next part, so if your fav rare pairs ain't here, comment them down!

ALSO, I absolutely adore Danny Motta's BSD reaction, he was the one who made me watch BSD in the first place!

I am happy to know I was present to watch the whole Danpo agenda's progression. Danny and Ranpo will forever be the best crack ship in BSD history. (I love how he read his own fan-fiction on the internet, I Could Never----)
