A moderately stylized drawing of Leif from Bug Fables. He is standing facing the right side of the screen near the camera. His full body is visible, and he's drawn in a way that makes him more spiked and insect-like. His right arm is pointing diagonally down and to the right, and his left arm is making a "v"-shape as if he's holding something close to his head to inspect, but his fingers are mostly splayed out. Leif's right wings are parallel to the arm on that side, and his left wings are not raised at all. His antennae are held straight up and his stance is somewhat wide, like he's preparing to fight. His proportions are close to a human's, his thorax and head combined are as tall as his legs. A giant ice block that is also as tall as his head and thorax combined is hovering above his left hand, and there are smaller pieces of ice spread out in an arc next to it. The background is dark, and while it's mostly blank and abstract, there's a section on the lower half of the screen that's even darker, with a lined border, implying a floor.

dragons bug fables leif bug fables peridots-art ok so biology. this taxon of dragons is generally bat-sized so they are still Tiny >:D moths and beetles are more closely related to each other than bees so that's reflected with leif and kabbu's anatomical similarities lepidopteran dragons have finely scaled wings which allows them the Forbidden Colors (blue) that can't be achieved through pigment alone beetles have scales on their limbs despite their size they still get big patagiums because I said so i kind of like the idea that dragon!leif kept growing in snakemouth den darkstalker-style even if it makes no sense vi bug fables kabbu bug fables

In like two hours??????????? ?????????? last time this happened. was a year ago (feb 14—hornet and kabbu post). if i remember correctly. and it's on the simple thing i took like. a couple hours to make. what i mean. i appreciate the attention! i just can't grasp why it's this specifically??? it's not even like some super-popular blog reblogged it or anything. ???? anyway. i have been meaning to let myself ramble more often in hopes of counteracting Awkwardness so you get Whatever This Is realize i never specified but if it wasn't already clear this is about the prev post. yea 👍 EDIT: at 12:09AM on this Feb 26 (GMT) it has broken 200 notes. it's already officially been my third most popular post on Tumblr since reaching 158 notes but there's that now too i guess edit at about 12AM feb 27 gmt: this is without a doubt the fastest any post of mine got notes. it's my second most popular post on tumb hit a comma on tumblr. at this rate it may very well become my number 1 in less than 24 hours
