So I started a game finally with more than five other empires in a normal sized galaxy and everyone else expanded extremely fast, so now I become terrified as a little egalitarian xenophile empire.

So now I have a navy 4 times stronger than the next strongest one.

I have become space Prussia.

Though I am shaped like Austria-Hungary somehow.

I don't get what everyone's fetish is with death. There's no fucking glory in in death, no honor or pride to be had in killing people. All dying accomplishes is leaving behind broken people. People who ask you to stop doing that are contemptible, naive. There's no other way to solve our problems but war. Yes there fucking is. You've had so many fucking chances and every single fucking time no one does it. They have to murder or oppress or hold onto useless desert for fucking sentimentality I guess. Oh, I killed millions of people who didn't have anything to with whatever I set out to do? Oh well, at least I got to make my own drawing on a map. I left a minefield and an unknown number of whatever else that will kill civilians long after whatever I was fighting over means nothing (it didn't mean anything to begin with but I guess I'll humor you)? That's fine. Let's just force a bunch of children to fight each other, then take a video of them being terrified of a military uniform and call them fucking cowards for being traumatized after watching their friends die. Oh, you have money? Then you don't have to go, definitely not a feudal levy system, no siree. We just force marginalized groups and poor people to fight wars while the rich people get to sit at home and complain about not having chocolate. Even our war heroes don't think there's glory in war. The reason Audie Murphy jumped on that tank was because they were hurting his friends, it was vengeance. The day you earn a medal of honor is often described as the worst day of your life.

Playing Dwarf Fortress, I think dwarves might actually be able to make communism work. Pretty much all of them like their job, they're able to handle autonomy of taking resources when they need them with very little to no issues, and they are fine with working for the good of the Fortress rather than personal gain (even in pretty bad conditions).

In fact, they are kind of practicing it already. They don't really use money and private ownership is pretty low. The only thing really left to do is get rid of or never instate the nobility and go on a communist revolution of the rest of the kingdom.

The last death of WWI I can find information on was in 2014, although there could be a more recent one. 2 Belgian construction workers were killed by a shell around march of that year.

The problem with WWI in particular is that they sat for four years on roughly the same lines, the shells were often duds (1 in 4 to 1 in 3), and 1.5 billion were fired on the western front alone. In addition to that you have the possibility of gas shells which are still very dangerous if the gas gets released. There are some areas of France and Belgium where 99% of plants will die.

And then there are all the other conflicts and the later you go the worse it tends to get, with mines and cluster munitions.

So, uh, yeah. War is bad but you probably didn't need me to tell you that. Some estimates say it will take 300-700 years to clear out the WWI battlefields.

I don't understand why instead of actually treating the problem cities instead treat homeless people like an aesthetic issue and do everything in their power to make their lives worse so they don't have to look at them. You're spending money not to solve a problem, but to torture people for no reason and make the problem easier to ignore.
