i want... asks....
milgram and alien stage fans will find every little detail and make the best analyzes i have seen in my life, i love my fandoms
Running back into the room with "AND ANOTHER THING"
In regards to the "not anti, not proship, but a third thing":
Many neutrals will openly interact with antis who are aggressive against pro-shippers, all in the name of "well, I don't care about the discourse, so I don't care that they're antis"
I need you to understand that the flaw with this is that it frames the anti mindset as an acceptable viewpoint to have. It isn't.
Imagine if I said "I don't care about the arguments between librarians and Moms For Liberty, and I think they just need to calm down. I support neither! Just stop fighting!" and then exchanged friendly emails with M4L members. This would be utterly ridiculous, wouldn't it? It would mean that I find their beliefs to be valid opinions to hold, and not dangerous rhetoric that, taken to its logical conclusion, would result in mass censorship.
This is even worse in the case of people who "used to be" pro-ship/pro-fiction, presumably knowing how bad this can get and how it affects people IN REAL LIFE, who still chose to go "neutral" and start interacting with antis. You know what they do, you know how they doxx and stalk and threaten people, and you know how they've caused a lot of mentally vulnerable people to take their own lives, and you're going to give them ANY kind of voice in fandom?
To be "neutral" tells me you don't give a single shit about the people who are being targeted over stupid fandom bullshit that was practically never an issue pre-2015. And the few times that it was... well, that's actually why AO3 exists now.
You want the discourse to stop? The only way that's going to happen at this point is if you snuff out as much interaction with fancops as possible. Avoid interacting with them directly as much as possible, do not reblog their posts or their art no matter how innocuous it is, do not allow them into your fandom spaces. Exclude them from fandom entirely, methodically ostracize them. Block, block, block, and block some more. Doing this will mean we only have to deal with the most extreme of cases that involve mass-brigading and block evading.
That's still a tall order of course, but I can guarantee you fandom spaces will improve in quality if you refuse to make a space for fancops at the table.
Sorry. I'm tired of pretending "neutrals" are anything other than Fancop-Lite.
ackkkkk I need to see herta in your writing style 😭😭😭😭
barista's note: if it is herta the people want it is herta the people will get! please come home herta i spent all my anaxa funds on you
madam herta: number 83 of the genius society, the woman who proved the solitary wave theory and emanator of erudition. what is there to say about such a genius?
well, one thing is for sure; herta is great and she knows she's great. hundreds of puppets of her are scattered across her space station, portraits of her are never far from sight and statues of her are not uncommon, too.
because of her greatness and confidence in her greatness, many people tend to be intimidated by her. who wouldn't be? she's THE herta, after all; the second smartest being in the universe, only behind nous THEMSELF.
so, it tends to be quite boring talking to all these mundanites that never provide her with the slightest bit of stimulation. even the ones that do question her always seem to lack any sort of substance in their arguments.
so when she meets you, a clever spitfire from the intelligentsia guild who not only criticises her but does so with some semblance of intellectual thought? she is intrigued
after meeting you, she invites you to her office frequently to just talk with her. herta is exactly like the rumours; she's arrogant and fiercely intellectual. arguing with her is like talking to a brick wall. and yet, she persists in inviting you again and again.
eventually, you become a common presence in the space station. the researchers are used to you standing near herta's office or hearing you arguing passionately with the madam in her office
at some stage, she invites you to her home to talk with her. she is far more intimidating in person, as a beautiful woman with thousands of puppets of her standing around, observing you as you argue your case.
and it continues, again and again,
until you just...move in one day. and live with her.
CONGRATS! you became madam herta's lover by accident! well, not really by accident. she actually planned this, somewhat. SO, you became madam herta's lover by half-accident!
herta is a demanding lover, to say the least. she expects constant praise and affection from you when it is convenient for her. and of course, she demands your attention at all times. what could be more important than her? your actual job, for one
clingy doesn't even begin to describe herta lol. wherever she goes, this woman expects you to be right behind her. not too much to ask, right?
but she also really likes it when you argue back and criticise her. its what makes you..different from everyone else.
despite all of her herta-ness, she can actually be surprisingly gentle. she'll help you with fashion, makeup, hair etc, and her touch is always soft and sweet. in these moments, you get a glimpse at a more vulnerable side of herta that's rarely seen.
also, please cook/bake for her. she has no clue what to do in the kitchen and many herta bots have died awful deaths because of her experiments. to save these poor puppets, youre going to have to learn how to cook, whether you want to or not.
whenever herta has a portrait of her commissioned, she'll always include you with her. portraits of you and her together are common all across the space station. researchers often gossip about your relationship to herta, wondering why this random intelligentsia guild member is suddenly attached to madam herta.
she'll also name several discoveries after you! [name] theory, [name] equation, [name] disorder..the list goes on and on.
she'll also include you in discussions about the simulated universe...in fact, she'll include you in almost all of her projects.
what can she say? love makes one irrational. even someone like madam herta can't resist its pull.

Antis arming themselves with talk of para "recovery" is really alarming
Do you anti shits mean repression? Because I don't trust any of you to talk about recovery from anything
Antis can't even handle minors that use incest ships to cope with abusive relatives, or people just fantasizing about stuff that could hurt someone irl. What the fuck do you mean antis think they can handle talking about paras?? Big fucking yikesss
how it feels enjoying anything when antis are around
you know i would rather trust an adult proshipper with "disgusting" and "weird" kinks who clearly knows the difference between fiction and reality and not allowing minors to interact with them than an adult antis who stalks minors with rape and death threats because of fictional characters
btw guys managing your symptoms also means apologizing for things you didn't mean to do. sometimes you do things because of your disorders that you genuinely didn't mean to do, but if it hurt someone you still have to take accountability and make up for the hurt you caused
lolisho stamp pack <3
