It is a very real grooming tactic online. Of course, enjoying darkships doesn't instantly mean someone is a predator- but implying that darkship art can't ever be used as a grooming tactic isn't helpful. Predators are in every online space, and it's important to recognize and watch out for the signs. Proshippers are not predators, but some predators are proship.

I hate the idea of a world where you can’t draw or write certain things without being treated like you deserve to die.

Even if it’s “romanticized”, “fetishized”, whatever. I think you should just be able to make whatever you want as long as it’s fiction, and if it’s not obvious that bad things are bad, literally just put a disclaimer.

It’s making me really sad to see the spread of antis, tbh, especially since I bet a huge portion of them are actually interested in some dark fiction themselves, but won’t admit it.
