Im confused about why everyone keeps headcannoning and referring to Langa as the emotionally repressed one in the renga relationship despite the fact that technically he already confessed that he has feelings to his mom!?!?

Like is it because he's quiet?!?!

Langa has been very open with his feelings for reki since he realized them. Maybe the language barrier is affecting people more than it should??? Like in season 1 it was reki who spent majority of the time moping around and avoiding langa despite desperately wanting to see him. Obv he was able to put on a brave face until the rain break up, but reki has always been the emotionally repressed one.

Langa was trying to come to terms with his father passing and finding something other than snowboarding to feel passionate about. He was emotionally repressed but not in regards to his feelings toward reki. Idk it's kinda weird?

It feels like people put labels on langa based on the fact that he's quiet that have nothing to do with his actual personality.

Did you know? Or did you forget? You can do whatever you want with your art. Put random scribbles wherever. Horizontal lines over your character. Add dots everywhere and on everything. Draw eyes different than the rest of the face. Change art styles halfway through. Cut and glue paper cutouts. Use paints and markers together. Use all the filters. Use photos on top to add texture.

You can do what you want. Like literally literally literally.

Add a rubber ducky in the corner for no reason, put text in different languages on the background, leave your handprints or wipe your fingers on the paper.

can we as a society make puppetry cool again. like lets make it trendy. Mainstream. more people should get into doing it and more people should appreciate it. puppetry requires craftsmanship and charisma and physical acting and vocal performance!! you can’t get that from ai. it has a charm to it that neither 2D nor cg animation has. Have you ever watched a puppetry performance and realized you were genuinely convinced that the puppet was getting into bed or eating something or giving a hug that you wholly forgot there was some guy’s arm in there.

isn’t it lovely. to make a funny little guy to tell stories with. is that not so human of us. it’s such a lovely art form. Something I hear a lot when people are looking at like abstract contemporary art or something is they’ll go “pssh I could do that” as a way to invalidate the artist because something “easy” should never be in a museum or even be called art at all right?

Wrong!!

Yes you absolutely could do that and you should! Art doesn’t need to be hard or even look good it’s just another way of expressing an idea. Like you can literally take a pencil and scribble rough jagged lines all over a page just because you’re mad. That’s still art!

Just because something is in a museum doesn’t inherently make it better than something the average person could do. Like the art industry has been commodified so hard that yall don’t see that you can just pick up and pencil and make marks and that’s art and it’s fun!! Let art be fun!!
