So far so good with the collection that i've planned... Spent several days on retexturing/remodeling those two. Switched the original shoes on the yellow suit to these gorgeous dr.martins by @shunga, converted by @aklira and they are much much better! Planning to find and retexture/create a hat that Hanna's wearing to add to a collection!

Still mad about the skirt on the red one, i even created one myself several times, tried Marvelous Designer and didn't like the UV layout and the way the polygons were located, but it was well detailed tho! Right now i'm not satisfied with the way it's textured ;-; it's still an upgrade comparing it to he original, but ... mad!

Whew! I really really loved this set so much that I had to convert, well, almost everything?

The Nostalgia Living by @awingedllama has been my fave ever since it came out and I was just waiting for an ounce of my converting motivation to come back to get down to business. And it finally happened!

Because there are 50+ items in this set and it would take me 2 hours to list all of them, I will link this handy dandy catalog the original creator made so you can see what you're getting: RIGHT HERE. All of the objects are fairly low poly so you don't need to worry about that.

There is a gaming console override included! Well, the console is buyable in the catalog and the override is for the controller so you need that package. It will conflict with any other overrides you have!

ALSO, 'cause there are some adorable vintage frames included in the set, I thought I could make them into changeable sim portraits! Now your sim family's portraits can match the fireplace (which is functional, also).

A lot of the items are repositoried to eachother! The shelving system, the couch, I did make note of that in the folders so you know what to download. Also, all the shelves have 10+ slots, the 'Dad's library' books function as bookshelves (and have slots on top of them).

The items I haven't converted and why (BUT I will look into them in the upcoming days I was just way too tired now lol sorry): draperies (the mesh appeared broken in the game); drink coaster (I forgot about this little guy); grand mirror (I still have to learn how to convert them lol); triangular shelf (I'm sorry but I really wasn't feeling this shelf, I remember it from my childhood and I always hated it in other ppl's houses lmao);

I also wanted to make the ceiling fan animated so it can spin and function as a light at the same time, but unfortunately right now that is above my converting capabilities! But I will look into that as well.

Right now I'm working on converting the build mode items! Precisely the doors, but the wallpapers + the carpets are included now. I will also convert the Nostalgia kitchen but it might take me a while 'cause I'm learning stuff about animating objects so I can also fix the CHALK kitchen I know it's ass, bear with me pls lmao ♥

AND this set is huge so I just know that I have forgotten about something or I have misplaced something in the folders, my adhd is having a field day SO please let me know if anything is missing or might not be working as intended! ♥

Chris Hatch's Community Time Mod fix

This post is about Chris Hatch's version of the popular Community Time Project mod for Sims 2, which prevents an immediate return of a Sim to their home lot after a travel. It's a great idea and I use this mod ever since I started using mods in my game.

However, it has a known but so far unfixed issue. If the player ever closes the text box that shows the remaining time until the Sim's return, or if the player closes their game while a Sim is off-world and later reloads the lot, then the mod will throw an "Undefined Transition" error.

CTP also fails to calculate the time correctly if a Sim is away for longer than 72 hours, and instead flows over to zero.

I have prepared a little fix for these two issues which I deemed not large enough to upload to MTS, but it's a critical fix for CTP users nonetheless.

Note that, unless CTP is re-written from scratch, travel times longer than seven days (168 hours) will still slow over to zero, because the Token - Community Time does not keep track of larger time units than the current Day of Week at departure.

While I was at it, I also solved the conflict between CTP and @lazyduchess' Playable Nannies mod.

Make sure the fix loads after CJH_CommTime(StandAlone), and also after ld_scheduler_car_semiglobals if you have it.

3t2 foosball tables made functional I made these two meshes converted by @veranka-downloads into functional objects, based on the Hotshot Foosball table by @jacky93sims. Grab the invisible pinball machine from her upload to have Sims playing on both sides of the table! DOWNLOAD (SFS) All original recolors are bundled with the meshes. I re-used Veranka's GUIDs, so you can't have both versions at the same time. I also lowered the price from a whopping §6000+ to a more reasonable §800 in line with Maxi's entertainment items.

Plain, but Plain: 4t2 Wallpaper Conversion Recolors

With all my colorful recolors of Plain, but Pretty from TS4, I needed something a bit more neutral to complete my set (for now!). So, here are 6 simple shades!

Colorways from darkest to lightest, as seen in the gif*, are: lachrymose, pessimistic partition, bleak brutalist, dejected drab slab, woebegone off white, and wretched white.

90+ Followers Gift Part 2

This upload is the two shirt sets I previewed last week. The first one, which is the sweater set, was based on this sweater from GoJane.com. I used a retexture Io made of Aikea Guinea’s sweater mesh as a base, so credit goes to them for most of the texture. I also edited the alpha and texture on the back a bit to look more like the picture, which you can see here. It comes in the two colors shown plus the original white version with black bones, and the mesh is included.

The cropped tops were original based on several different shirts I’ve seen for TS3, but they bare little to no resemblance to the originals. They also didn’t look very good in bodyshop, which is why I only made two. I actually quite like the way they turned out in game, though, so I’ll probably end up expanding on the set sometime in the near future. The mesh for these is also included, as well as a credits list for both shirts. Everything is compressorized.

I’m not 100% sure when I’ll be able to post the rest of the things, but hopefully it will be sometime later today or tomorrow. I haven’t taken pictures of anything else yet, but there’s also the necklaces I showed last week, an AM shirt set, and two frankensteined AF PJ meshes. ⚠️ ADVISORY: Malicious Mods, Identity Theft, Malware, and You ⚠️

Hey, all! Not sure how many people will see this, but if you do, please reblog. This is a 'little' post regarding a potentially big problem affecting the Sims 4 community. If you download mods/CC at all (and yes I know CC is a type of mod), this applies to you.

TL;DR: For the sake of your personal info, identity, bank account, et cetera, please STOP downloading any mods/CC for the time being. Especially from the following sites: CurseForge, ModTheSims, The Sims Resource. It doesn't matter if you know the creator or not. Give it at least a week while we all figure out what's going on. If you must, I would recommend only downloading directly from a creator's Patreon (assuming they have one).

Other people have written at length about the mods in question, so I'll just share their posts below.

What's going on?

From the Sims 4 After Dark Discord server (a server you should join if you're not in it already):

⚠️If you downloaded any mod listed in the above post and played the game with them installed, this is the cleaner program Kuttoe (creator of the Home Regions and Townie Demographics mods) mentioned in their post: GitHub - overwolf/sims4-social-events-cleaner: Source files and exe release for a tool to clean up your machine if you have downloaded the "Social Events - Unlimited Time" Sims 4 mod ⚠️

Got confirmation from Kuttoe that as long as you didn't boot up the game with the malicious mods installed (or deleted them completely from your computer before playing the game), you *should* be fine. Still, I recommend that anyone who thinks they might have downloaded any of them run the cleaner program.

So, to recap:

Fake mods were uploaded to Curseforge, ModTheSims, and The Sims Resource

@msqsimsofficial had their account compromised on 2 of those sites (they are a victim of hacking, so do not send them hate!)

If downloaded, these malicious mods have the ability to steal very sensitive info (your passwords, credit card info if saved somewhere in your browser, data)

As of right now, antivirus software may not be able to detect the malware

Mac and Linux users seem to be safe; Windows users are the ones that could be affected

Why is this happening?

Unsure. Lots of theories are being made by people far more knowledgeable than me, but from the looks of things, could be crypto bullshit and/or an attempt to steal your data and sell it. This is very, very serious, and could wreck your life if said data/personal info falls into the wrong hands.

It's always a good idea to change passwords every couple of months or so, but if you think you've been affected, you also need to change your passwords for things like online banking, email and social media accounts, healthcare sites AFTER running the cleaner.

What now?

I want to talk about how we approach modding our games and downloading files in general.

Please STOP downloading mod file folders from people who did not create the specific mods. Period. This includes Sim dumps, building/lots with CC, mod folders promoted on YouTube, etc. This does not mean that anyone sharing them is doing so maliciously. In fact, I appreciate the amount of effort people put into compiling these resources! But unless you're super careful (and super knowledgeable), you run the risk of downloading malware like this on your computer. Make no mistake, the malicious files in question look like run-of-the-mill, everyday mods. Two of them were even posted from a trustworthy creator's actual account! The only way to know what they actually do is to peek into the code, and idk about you, but I don't know Python. So even after this issue is resolved, you really should only download files from the creators themselves.

But what about CC shopping?

Here's how I like to approach it: I stick to lookbooks and combing through the Patreons/accounts of creators who make items I like. If I see a Sim dump with CC that I'm interested, I try to reach out to the poster and ask where they got specific CC. If I can't do that, I see if it was shared via Drive, look at the individual files themselves, then head to the original CC creator's official download page and get it from the source.

haven't made a sim in sims 4 in forever

a 'little' request that i fulfilled over on the simscord! @cinnamonsims' vera dress converted from ts4 to ts2, and paired with @trillyke's labyrinth stockings + @jius-sims' canvas platform sneakers! a beautiful dress for you to style your sims with 🥰

the outfit's entire polycount was close to 30k (criminal...), but i managed to cut it down to just 7346 polys. there's still some black spots remaining (largely visible on the shoes and straps in bodyshop, but otherwise i'm super proud of how everything came out! the dress is for tf-af only, tf is repo'd to af, and all morphs are included! it's categorised as everyday/formalwear.

THINGS TO NOTE

every single part of the body is a separate group. i did this because i wanted it to be easier to make recolors, but if that annoys you as a creator it should (theoretically) be possible to combine the dress, shoes, and socks groups together and layer the textures on one another, since they use the ts4 uv map.

expect some clipping/unclipping issues with the legs while walking. i did my best and it's not as visible as it used to be, but the legs can and will pop out from under the skirt.
