Sorry for the absence this last few weeks. I have been forgetting my own schedule to post these on Fridays. However, I’m going to try and be more consistent. Anyways, this character is Dawna Days, a people pleaser with divorced parents, seems to be on the shy side and has just recently gotten into a relationship with one of the boys in the group, AJ Maye. I call their ship name Maydays. She was kind of a hard character to design because she’s another brunette in the group of girls and the creator of this character isn’t someone that I could contact to ask. Yes. I never had to but I know that people who do so know that they need to and that it’s hard to go with that choice, but it was her’s. No one should tell them otherwise how to live their life.

I just really like this piece of music from the episode Rose’s Scabbard and I wanted the instrumental part where Pearl remembers when Rose’s offers her the choice of staying or going for her safety and luckily I found someone’s piano cover of that scene.

Honestly I thought this would work well for the Doc/Lightning and Cruz/Lightning relationship (platonic!).

And here’s the final character and the main one for @sethlenin’s fanfics, Seven or Sev for short. Sev is basically the Eleven of the group, being a test subject from Hawkins lab and having escaped there with a body count. Unlike El and many of the test subjects at the lab, Sev has water bending powers. Or hydrokinesis if you want to be technical. Sev is sixteen-year-old boy who is found by Gabe and AJ scavenging for food at the former’s house. Of the people in the group, Tara is the one he forms the strongest connection to. I ship it. #Tarven I’m actually really happy with how he came out. According to the character’s creator, he was supposed to be non-binary but that was changed due to how the term probably wasn’t that common in the 1970s. I was the first Cruzon (Cruz/Jackson) shipper ever since I found out their names on May 31, 2016.

Jackson: (annoyed and somewhat angry as he gives her flowers) Here!

Cruz: (confused) Wha- huh?

Jackson: Just... take them.

Cruz: Umm... thank you but, why?

Jackson: Look you did a... decent job with McQueen. He’s.. okay. There, now take them.

Cruz: (smirks proudly) Well look who’s not as high and mighty as he believes? Thank you for the compliment, I know we’ll both be grateful for that.

(Cruz begins walking away, before stopping once Jackson says something once again)

Jackson:...He’s not that great you know.

Cruz: Maybe not to you but he’s someone I always look forward to whenever I saw a race.

Jackson: (disappointed, before going back to smug jerk mode) I’m just saying he needs to retire pretty soon if he wants to live longer life.

Cruz: He’s still got a lot in him, I’m just there to help.

(Once more Cruz begins to walk away with the bouquet)

Jackson: You ever thought about being a racer?

(Stopping in her tracks Cruz turns to look at him, questioningly)

Cruz: What?

Jackson: (says slowly like a condescending twat) Ramirez, do you want to be a racer?

Cruz: Okay first off dude, I’m not an idiot I rather you not talk to me like one rich boy, thank you. Second, I’m working my way to that, I’m getting there and I going to become one, my way, not through daddy’s pocket.

Jackson (flustered somewhat before going back to his chilled arrogance): ...Cool

Cruz: ...Que?

Jackson: Yeah...

Cruz: Yeah...

Jackson: (says quietly) ...Allons-y.

Jackson telling Cruz that Lightning’s not that great is kind of my little reference to how I know people will telling me that the Cars movies aren’t that great but me seeing as something I have always loved despite what others may think. They have a right to critique but to me it’s valuable in many ways.

❤️ I think Cars 2 was real start of the 2010s Disney Twist Villain craze…

Previous Twist Villains existed before the 2010s, but I think the reason why it became more frustrating for Pixar and Disney movies in that time was because of one person: John Lasseter. Lasseter had been executive producer on all the Pixar and Disney films with the twist villain: Cars 2, Wreck It Ralph, Frozen, Big Hero 6, Zootopia, Moana, Coco, and Incredibles 2.

While Lasseter was the executive producer on previous Disney and Pixar films with a twist villain (Toy Story 2, Monsters Inc. Incredibles, Meet the Robinsons, and Toy Story 3) he also had a lot more oversight as well. He wasn’t the most powerful man in animation at the time.

I think Lasseter really liked the twist villain and production-timeline wise, he probably suggested twist villains while making Cars 2.

With that being said… I think Miles Axlerod is the smartest in the sense that he never brags about his crimes to his victims. He only reveals himself as the villain when there’s a bomb inches from him and seconds away from blowing him up. Axlerod was smart enough to be cautious, not going to his meetings in-person, using a disguise voice and I think changed his color(?)…

As for the amount of money he probably spent setting up the World Grand Prix as a sham… Well if the 2020s have taught us anything is that being a billionaire doesn’t necessarily mean you’re a genius.

I’m not saying Miles Axlerod my favorite, but I kind like him in the historical sense of animation production and writing, what he’s meant to represent in the movie itself, and for shallow reason of silly/scary fanfics about him. Like in the same way people use Prince Hans (no super powers or soft/sad boy-ism, but manipulation, charm, wealth, and privilege).

💚 I liked crashing into Mia and Tia on the Cars video game because it kind of gave me a glimpse of their personalities. Surprisingly they are different. Mia is more aggressive with her yelling and whining and has more lines than Tia (in the video game). Mia also has a slightly deeper voice than Tia. Tia is more likely to compliment herself (self confidence queen) and whine.

I don’t get why people assume they’re teenagers. Not only is that gross for Lightning… but Mater too since they’re in his tall tales as girls to impress.

Sarge is the underrated hero. Despite calling Fillmore a tree hugger, he clearly distrusts Axlerod’s history of being an oil tycoon enough to switch Allinol with Fillmore’s fuel at the last minute. He may call not trust Fillmore’s organic fuel, but he cares about McQueen’s safety than his bias. There’s also this line Mater said in Cars 3 that while Luigi and Guido were Lightning, they put Sarge and Fillmore in charge of the tire shop. Fillmore gave all the tires away and Sarge was hunting them back down because… you don’t just do that with someone else’s merchandise.
