FOR REFRANCE
Time to reset for the third time this hour.
> Dave: Reset.
About your Beforus First Guardian post, I think it's super cool but impossible, as the A1 session never had an ectobiology lab meteor in order to create a first gaurdian, or the players themselves for that matter, which is why they had to scratch in the first place.
Oh, interesting point. Hmm…
Although, if that’s the case, wouldn’t the same be true of the Alpha Kids’ session? Yet they managed to make GCat.
I mean, I suppose they could have used the ectobiology equipment from the Trolls’ meteor, but…
I don’t think it was so much that the Beforus trolls lacked an ectobiology lab as it was that the trolls originated from the post-Scratch (Alternia) session instead of the pre-Scratch (Beforus) one, so they needed to scratch in order to ensure their existence.
This is what Doc Scratch said on the matter:
Though they could not recognize it for the bad omen it was, this session was not the one in which they had been spawned. Such is the symptom of a subtle glitch affecting certain sessions, an error designed to trigger an unfathomable cascade of misfortune throughout paradox space. This glitch is the calling card of the one I serve.
It says nothing of ectobiology equipment or lack thereof, just in which session the trolls were spawned.
Also, Beforus would have had a first guardian regardless, because:
Every planet destined for intelligent life has such an entity meant to protect it, and facilitate the planet’s ultimate purpose.
So yeah.
Anyone who likes Homestuck should see Interstellar.
It's awesome and has a very Homestucky feel. A similar premise, things that screamed each of 12 aspects, and ...well, I don't want to spoil anything. I legitimately thought "THIS IS HOMESTUCK" throughout the entire film.
Plus, the fact that it stars Matthew McConaughey—as essentially an Heir of Breath/Mage of Blood—is absolutely delightful. (JOHN JOHN JOHN)
I could blab on and on about all the Homestuck parallels. Maybe I'll do that some point and put spoiler warnings?
But no seriously, go see Interstellar; it's really good.
This is not the first time a Jack has lost an arm to a caliginous queen.
So, apparently the House Juju contains the souls of the Beta Kids:
THIS WEAPON COULD ONLY BE USED AGAINST FOUR GUYS AT A TIME. BECAUSE ITS SHAPE HAS. LIKE FOUR SLOTS OR SOMETHING. SO I CHOOSE MY TARGETS CAREFULLY.
THEIR SOULS WERE TRAPPED IN MY JUJU. FOREVER.
Flash back to John sticking his arm in the Juju:
It’s in Rose’s square.
I dunno, I feel like this is significant somehow. What it means, though, I have no idea.
Hi! I was wondering if a Knight of Mind, Heir of Blood, or Seer of Heart would be a better leader?
Well, it would depend.
A Knight of Mind would be good at using façades and choices, exploiting and maximizing the usefulness of thoughts, rationale, and the outer self in order to get things done. If balanced, they could also use their Rogue of Heart inverse to obtain, redistribute, and share souls and inner desires.
An Heir of Blood would be good at influencing and inviting change relating to bonds, pacts, and connections of a group. If balanced, they could also use their Mage of Breath inverse to understand what direction the team should take—their goals and quests—and use that knowledge to act or lead.
A Seer of Heart would be good at understanding the core of each person in the group, such as their strengths, weaknesses, fears, and inner desires. They would then guide the team using that knowledge. If balanced, they could also use their Witch of Mind inverse to change others’ minds—their rationales and decisions—and their outer selves.
I’m inclined to think an Heir of Blood would make one of the best leaders in general, but there are a lot of factors to consider. It’d depend on the individual leading, the group dynamic, the purpose and goal, and what the team actually needed. It’d also depend on how “realized” (and competent) the person is.
Certain classpects are probably naturally better skilled and equipped to lead than others, but each classpect has the potential to be a good leader (or a poor leader), depending on the circumstances.
My thoughts exactly. ;)
I dunno, I feel like there are little clues hidden everywhere:

You are unique. You are special. You are one of a kind. And you have a distinct way to impact reality.
I have a Tumblr? I...blog now? ...About Homestuck? What. What has happened to me? :o
I've been a Tumblr stalker for a while now, but never bothered to make an account until now. I am super new to this whole blogging and Tumblr experience, so please bear with me.
I am addicted to this web comic called Homestuck. I have a sort of love-hate relationship with it. I think I hate that I enjoy it so much? It's absolutely a guilty pleasure. Anyway, I enjoy analyzing it, and do so almost compulsively. Hence the blog title. (Although technically it’s more addiction than compulsion, because pleasure. But I digress.)
Expect to see observations, analyses, speculation, theories, and possibly other stuff. But hopefully less boring than that sounds.
