Im kinda into the MW2 guys...
And I have ideas...
Specifically aimed for König.
Stay tuned.
This post is inspired by all the babies running around my family right now. And also a comment I had gotten a while back about König being good with children. I don't know if I should tag them or not, would that be rude?
Warnings: Pure fluff, babies, Soft!König, baby fever König. Toddlers being toddlers. Established relationship.
König knew for certain he did not get baby fever easily. When he saw babies or kids, he would shrug and make a comment about how small they were or something. You were almost the same way, not wanting kids right now but couldn't help but adore the tiny babies and toddlers. You were dating for a while and agreed that kids were not an option right now. So, when you were asked to babysit for your brother and his wife, you asked König to come along to help you.
~~~
You warned König that your brother had two boys and one girl. The boys were 6 (twins) the girl was 1. König made a comment about weird age difference, and you replied, "They get baby fever a lot more often than you know. And they want a big family." He nodded and you added. "She's pregnant again too." Which made König's eyes widen.
When you both arrived there, the boys ran to you excitedly, screaming about their auntie being back. But they quieted when they saw König. The large male stares down at the twin boys, waiting to see what they'll do. The first boy walks up and crosses his arms. "Why are you so big?"
König crossed his arms as well. "Why are you so tiny?"
The second boy laughs. "You sound like a evil bad guy!" The boys take off running and you chuckle at them. You now had a small girl on your hip. She hid her face from König and you smiled, rubbing her back.
"She's a little shy, but her mom said she's due for a nap." You walked him inside just as your brother and a pregnant wife walked out, yelling to call them if you had any trouble. König followed you inside while taking in the interior of the house. You were rocking the girl, humming for her to sleep. "Do you think you can watch the boys while I try putting her down to bed?"
He nodded. König made sure that you couldn't see his nervousness at the thought of watching two boys. You left to go put the young girl to sleep and on que, the twins came running out with play swords. One boy raised his sword at König. "Prepare evil villain! For we will slay you!"
König put his hands up and glared. "Attacking me while I am unarmed? How unfair!" The boys giggled at his accent, and maybe perhaps König was making his accent heavier on purpose, but he wouldn't admit that aloud.
When the small girl, Ember, was asleep, you walked out to the living room to find it empty and the front door open. When you inspect that as well, you find König outside with the boys, Dexter and Derrel. König was kneeling in front of one of them and smearing mud over his cheeks, the other twin boy already being marked by what you assumed was pretend war paint.
You crossed your arms as you watched König stand, some war paint of his own painted messily across his face. He was talking to them but you couldn't hear them.
~
"Why do you sound so funny?" One of the boys with the missing bottom and top teeth asked him. The other boy was only missing a few of his top teeth.
"I am from Austria." König finished his face paint and nodded to himself.
The twin boys looked at each other and then asked separate questions.
"Did you meet Steve Irwin? He catches animals."
"Have you ever wrestled a kangaroo?"
"Do you have to kill spiders as big as your face?!"
"Is it true that you can eat kangaroo like chicken?"
König had frowned, knowing they would misunderstand the moment he said it. "No, boys, that is Australia. Austria is further away." He stands. "Now we can play evil bad guy that gets stopped by cool good guys." The boys were giggling excitedly, and he held his hand up. "But wait, first, I must do something bad." He spied you coming down the steps and nodded. He walks over to you and picks you up, throwing you over his shoulder. "I have stolen your precious auntie, and she will be my prisoner!"
The boys screamed in a panic and rushed him, while you laughed and playfully screamed for help.
~~
A while later, while König and the boys played outside, you got a notification that the baby was awake. "I'll be right back, boys." You stand and walk to the house. When you left, the boy missing both his top/bottom teeth(Dexter) had looked at König.
"Are you going to marry our auntie?"
König thought about this and then answered. "I want to, but your auntie has to like me first. If she doesn't want to marry me, then I won't make her."
"Want me to ask her if she likes you?" He wiped his nose without a care in the world and König grinned.
"No, I am a big boy. I'll find out myself."
The other boy, Derrel, ran up to them while swinging his foam sword. "There's a girl in my class who kissed my friend Barry and it was gross!" He giggled. "Aren't you afraid girls have cooties?"
König chuckled. "I was told that girls and boys have cooties. Did you know cooties come from dirty kids who don't brush their teeth or wash their feet?" He watched the boys make faces, obviously not believing his statement.
You walked out the house with Ember on your hip, smiling down at her while speaking softly. When the boys saw them, Dexter walked up to you. "Emmy doesn't play right when we play games."
"Well, she's a baby, you know." You squat down and set the infant on a blanket laid out in the grass. "She doesn't know how to do much right now. You have to give her time to learn."
Derrel spoke next. "She sleeps a lot too."
König spoke up next. "Babies sleep a lot. When she was growing in your mommy's tummy, all she did was sleep. She was used to it, but now that she is out of your mommy's tummy, she has to get used to being awake. That's why she naps more than you two."
"Poor Emmy." One of them huffed, sitting beside the baby girl and giving her the foam sword which she took happily. "Ah! She has a weapon!"
"No! What have you done! She's unstoppable now!" König gasped dramatically and picked up the other sword. "I will defeat her!"
"No! That's my sister!" Dexter ran at König and jumped on his back. Following was Derrel, and König fell to the ground with a fake grunt of pain. You then picked up the baby girl and helped her walk over to the fallen König, where she screamed in some kind of excited baby scream. The twin boys yelled in victory while sitting atop the large fallen man. Ember held herself up on König's shoulder and he watched defeatedly as a line of drool fell on his face.
"Yack... I've been defeated."
~~~
After König won everyone over with his famous chocolate chip pancakes, everyone was settled down on the couch to watch Scooby-Doo. The boys have taken to sitting in König's arms and Ember played in her baby pin. When König said he never watched Scooby-Doo, the twins were excited to show and tell him all about the mystery-solving dog and the gang. And König was more than happy to listen to all of it. It was about an hour into the movie, and both boys had fallen asleep. König continued watching the movie. You took Ember in your arms and sat down beside them. "They really like you."
He perked up at this, looking over at you and grinning nervously at you and the baby. "You think so? I was nervous I would hurt them accidentally, or they would be scared of me." He watched as Ember reached for him and the Austrian man carefully moved his arm away from one of the boys to hold the small girl in his arms.
You had chuckled softly and laid your head back. "You're doing great with them. But I think those pancakes sealed the deal." You watched as the baby girl curiously poked and pulled at König's chin and lip. He poked his bottom lip out, then stuck his tongue at her. She watched in curiosity before doing the same thing, her hands slapping his face in excitement. You both laughed.
One of the boys woke up and moved over to you, laying his head in your lap and saying it was cold. You pull a blanket over him and gently ran your fingers through his messy hair. After he had fallen back asleep, you look up at König but find him entertaining the baby with his facial expressions.
~~~~
After you and König left, with sad goodbyes from the twins, you noticed how quiet your driver was. Looking up at him, you linked your hand in his free one, causing him to look over at you and interlock his fingers with yours. "What's on your mind?"
A lot. You, him, a family somewhere in the future, you with a wedding band on your left hand and a big belly carrying his child. He was staring forward at the road, and he sighed, a look of annoyance washed over his features. Should he tell you how he felt? What if you detest the idea of having kids with himm "The twins were so rowdy and annoying. Do all kids act that way?"
"Yes. Most of the time."
"And the baby girl, do all babies drool as much as her? It got on my face and my shirt."
"Yes." You watched him carefully, trying to figure out where he was going with this.
"Kids are filthy creatures. And clumsy. And a handful..." he brought the back of your hand up to his lips, holding your hand there for a moment. "And they cry for nothing."
"That's usually a toddler phase." You tilt your head. "König what's wrong?"
"Nothing is wrong Liebling..." He sighed almost defeatedly. "But I can't help but picture us with our own crazy little children... and I want that very much." He looked at you after stopping at a stoplight. "I know we are not ready for kids yet, and we are not married. But I saw the way you look at them, and how big you smile at them and I can't help but want that too, with our own babies." His eyebrows furrowed in thought while he pressed another kiss to your knuckles. "But, maybe that's wrong to dream only after a day of caring for children."
You sit up in your seat and move your hand to cup his face. "It's not wrong to dream König...it's called baby fever." You smiled and pressed a soft kiss to his nose.
"You would make the most perfect mommy," He says in a desperately soft voice as you press your lips to his nose. He cups your face so you look into his eyes. "I would be honored to be the father. The best father. Say the word Mein Liebling, and I will give you as many children as you desire."
:')
Don't come after me I just- I dunno.
Did I hit 100 followers? I'm actually literally buzzing I'm so excited lol
A/n: I made a familiar character the bad guy, and I started color coding people except König. If I colored König he'll be green but for now he'll stay colorless.
Warnings!: Dog attack, rivalry, dog bite, violence(towards animal)
M!König: Who made another bundle of fish just for you. He made sure to catch more of the ones you stated you had liked. The lake he lives in was huge, and a river connected it to various other lakes so it was always stocked up. He knew he needed to stop this, so he promised himself that this would be the last gift. Then he'll have to leave, move to a different lake. Even though he didn't want to.
M!König: Who, when he arrives at your vet clinic, sees you speaking to an older gentleman who has a leashed dog at his side and a bundle of flowers in his other hand. You seemed frustrated and shook your head up at the man, who in response had shifted impatiently. Enter, Hunter!Simon, who was trying to convince you that one drink with him will be good for you.
M!König: Who walked up to the both of you, holding the bundle of fish and glaring down at the man. He has blonde hair, scars across his pale skin and grey cold eyes. But König's eyes could be colder. You looked between the two men, sensing some kind of conflict arising internally. Clearing your throat, you told Simon he should leave, and that you declined his offer.
Hunter!Simon: Who was staring up at König with a menacing look. Something was off about this guy. Was this the bloke that you were seeing? And why did he wear a hood over his face. He noticed the bundle of fish and snorted a little. "Tha' all you can catch? If you're tryin t' impress her, that ain't gonna do it." He stared up at König but the mans face never changed. Riley, his dog, growled lowly as König stood there and looked down at them.
M!König: Who glared down at the dog next. Then answered coldly, "What use would she have for flowers? At least I catch her food, while you lazily pluck her weeds." He nearly snarled. Simon threw the flowers down while his dog growled louder, crouching in an attack position. Simon was close to raising his voice, both in heated anger and because Riley was barking louder. You stepped in, pushing the both of them back which caused Riley to jump up to attack, but König was pulling you out of the way before it registered to either one of them.
M!König: Who took the full on harsh bite of the K-9, kicking the dog away while Simon angrily yelled at him. But you were telling at Simon to leave or else you'd call the police. König watched as you threatened the blonde man while using your body to shield the much larger man. It made his heart swell despite the bleeding bite wound.
Vet!Reader: Who watched Simon and Riley walk back to his truck and drive away. You were quick to help König inside and treat his wounds. You had some healing ointment and rabies shots lined up but König was quick to stop you, explaining this was nothing. You knew König was different, so... You trusted him on this. Then when König was standing up, you wrapped your arms around him in a hug. "You didn't have to do that...but thank you."
M!König: Who was blushing like crazy. His tentacles were more actively shifting beneath his hood but he hugged back stiffly. He cleared his throat. "I'm used to dog bites... And hunters." he shrugged. He watched you pull away and then your hand reached up to his tentacles, and some eagerly wrapped around your finger to which you smiled happily. He was a big blushing mess now but he wouldn't pull away.
M!König: Who was surprised when you offered to cook food for him. It's been a very long time since he ate cooked(human) food. But with you? He eagerly agreed. When you asked what he could eat, König proudly announced anything, except the funny tasting bottle drinks. You held back your giggles and he noticed.
A/n: Damn, this is sounding like a retelling of Beauty and the Beast🤦 Also ! If y'all don't want me to use Simon as bad guy I can change that. But I had a little background on Hunter!Simon.
Basically, after the war and he retired, he moved to this unnamed small town and took up hunting. Kind of a bad ending Simon cause it more or less makes him feel alive when he hunts. So instead of hunting for food, he hunts for fun. (Which, veterinarian you hates.) Hunting for fun and not food is a big no no where I live so I thought why not sprinkle conflict-
Like I said before, I can change his character so that it's not Simon but instead it's some random NPC with a shit name. Y'alls call.
College student reader x Simon (Reversed)
((There's actually nothing about college except the beginning. Part 2 of Simon x college student reader))
- Stressed Simon, (actual angst) past argument mentions, hurt(?)/comfort. I really got into this one. wow. Mentions showering but nothing explicit. Dropping 'L' word at the end and also motorboating lol (face to chest basically)
I'm not rereading this, whatever goes, goes.
You were quickly typing into your computer, eyeballing the typo before backspacing quickly and fixing it. You were sat on the couch, humming and typing away to finish up a summary for your English teacher. Easy stuff, not too much work. And it should be your last thing to do today. You smiled a little as you thought of all your free time. Briefly you wondered if Simon would want to go catch a movie with you at the theater or stay home instead. You didn't mind either.
The door opens and Simon walks in. You smiled up at him but he didn't look at you. He kicked off his shoes and went straight to the bedroom. Your smile dropped and you moved to close your laptop, but paused. What happened?
Simon walked into the bedroom, into the bathroom and shut the door. He turned on the shower and began stripping out his clothes quickly. He needed to calm himself. After the day he's had, he was about to snap. First he got a ticket for an expired parking meter, then some older woman at the store snapped at him for standing too close to her (he was a shopping cart and a half away from her.) His card declined four times before he had to use cash because he forgot to unlock the card the night before...a wide series of things in between as well. It seemed like today, the universe held it's middle finger at Simon. And to top it off? Bird shit on his neck down his back.
He got into the cold shower and began scrubbing with a back brush. You had been all bright smiles to greet him, but he had to look away. Something ugly twisted in his mind, that grinning evil insecurity. He didn't want to yell at you. He did once and the look on your face was still plastered in his mind. Hurt.
You did that, remember?
He hissed and rubbed his face with his wet hands. He never wanted that to happen again. So he ran past you. Avoiding you to keep you happy. Aren't I pathetic?
The bird shit down his back was gone, but he kept scrubbing, grumbling about bad luck under his breath. Then there was a knock. Simon didn't want to answer, but he didn't want you to come in and see him like this again. But you didn't enter.
"Simon. I'll give you some alone time." You spoke through the door, hand faintly resting on the knob. You wanted to go in but you knew he needed his space. "But, I'm gonna start cooking, it'll be done in an hour probably. If you still want to be alone by then, um..." You looked around. "Just- put a sock on the door handle, and I'll let you be okay?"
A smile twitched at his lips. He sighed however, then answered in a low tone, his voice baritone enough for you to hear it past the shower. "Alright love." A pause. "Thank you."
You didn't say anything else, he heard your footsteps leave and the bedroom door closing. His heart felt heavy and he closed his eyes. Letting the cold water run over his hair and down his body. The ugly little thing that whispered in his head was still there, but not so loud anymore.
He slowly turned the hot water on, breathing out again.
~~~
You had just finished cooking, proud of how it turned out too. You turned everything off to let it cool, then went to the bedroom to see if Simon still needed to be alone. But as you turned, you ran right into him and jumped from fright. At the same time, he picked you up and threw you over his shoulder with ease. You screamed and giggled. "Simon-!"
He deposits you on the couch, and then lays on top of you. Full weight. You laughed from the pressure but soon he shifted to hold you more comfortably. Arms wrapped around your middle as his body laid between your legs. His head rested against your chest where he pressed his face for a moment or two. You blushed, waiting, then he turned his head and laid his ear against your chest. Eyes closed, breathing normally. He was listening to your heart.
You reached up and ran your fingers through his hair and scratching the nape of his neck. "You wanna tell me about it?" You asked.
He hummed. "Bad day. Nothin' went right."
You nodded. "Did the shower and sleep help?"
"Couldn't sleep." He replied. He lifted his head and looked at you. "M'sorry for how I came in. Didn't want to snap at you." Again. The word was there but he didn't say it. Your eyes softened and he knew you thought about it too.
But you smiled softly. "Don't apologize...you needed space Si. Everyone does sometimes." You ran your fingers through his hair. You could see the look in his eye, the regret. The one memory that seemed to hurt him more than it did you.
"Simon?" He hummed and waited for you to continue. "I love you." His heart skipped, but you went on. "And what you said before in the past, is in the past. You were overwhelmed and stressed and I didn't know how to comfort you. I just want to take care of you like you do for me."
He sighed and put his face into your chest again, making you snort a little. "I want to be better."
"Simon, shush yourself." You kissed his head and he lifted his face. "There's no getting 'better' when everything sucks. I can't get you out of a bad mood, but I'll be here waiting to help in anyway I can. If that means waiting an hour or two, then I'll do it."
His eyes softened, that voice in his head snuffed out completely. "I love you too."
You smiled, your hand rubbing his cheek. "Wanna eat now? Food is still warm."
He huffed, stuffed his face back into your chest and ignored your shrieks and giggling. "Few more minutes..." You complied, letting your hand run up his back slowly while he listened to your heart. Warm. Safe.
"I've got you."
I took care of my friend when he was sick and hurting. I missed school to stay with him. I gave him medicines, I got him food and water (went to the store and got him Gatorade) and I let him sleep in my bed. And I told him I would stay with him till he got better.
He called me a bastard because I 'kicked him out' while he was still sick.
So that day my family was having a bbq, and I wanted to go but I didn't know if I should have left him at my apartment because I didn't know if my roommate would have said something about him being there when I wasnt. I thought this was reasonable.
He said he would go to someone else's place, he even texted and asked them if he could go and they said yeah. So he left, and I even offered to drive him there and then when he was feeling better, he can come back and get his truck.
He said I was kind of a bastard for kicking him out.
What?
What.
I'm so glad to see someone else producing content for the invisible man Fandom. Is there going to be a part two?
Definitely 😊 also thank you for reposting? Or reblogging, I am still new to Tumblr so seeing that made me all giddy lol. I'll try to start posting to here and A03.
I don't know if I'm good at making head cannon, or is it one shots? Where it goes like:
Monster! Character!: who doesn't enjoy this and that but does twiddle in a little bit of chess
But I wanna make one about monster König and a veterinarian reader that he mistakes as a doctor, but they help out all the same.
Stay tuned. Also let me know if anyone else has some something similar so I'm not accidentally copying or something.
Just saw your König at the beach drawings and I’m impressed! Your concept of body language is super awesome, I still struggle a lot with poses even after 10+ years of drawing! The tiny changes make a lot, keep it up! 👍
You're very sweet lol thank you. What I do is I ask my brothers or my dad to pretend to be doing something and I just try to draw how their muscles or limbs are shaped. References are friends, not foes! Thank you again!
Jeez Louise Papa Cheese, you guys really liked that first one huh? Here's a part two, hope ya'll enjoy!
By the way did you know red twizzlers(cherry and strawberry) don't have licorice but are still considered a licorice type candy?

As soon as you walked into the viewing room, Miles had eyes on you. Only for a second. He was looking away before you could notice, getting the rest of the heart monitor sleeves on his arms. One of the other recom soldiers, Lyle, smirked his way and Miles didn't say anything, not needing to. Lyle chuckled and looked down to finish what he was working on. You took a seat at the table along with two others, looking through the two way glass.
The door opened and two new faces appeared in the viewing room. They seemed like higher ups more involved in the military side of things. The female gave you a short nod, which you gave a quick tight smile back. The male simply sat down and examined the screen. Once in a while these higher ups would sit in and make sure the reanimated bodies were still working fine. The thought made your nose scrunch up. Of course they still worked. You sigh and pull out the sheet you needed, having the usual checklist for Colonel Quaritch's charts as well as his background papers. There was a concerned frown that stained your lips after reading his papers. You read what he had done, what he was capable of, and only heard whispers of what he was going to do. Or, what he was willing to do.
His training began, a scientist in the room was asking him to do such and such. He ran a treadmill, lifted weighted items for x amount of seconds, and stretched certain limbs to certain points. He never faltered. His tests were all the same as the ones before him. The training and tests only lasted an hour and a half. You eyed as the higher ups in the room quietly left, not saying a word. Usually this was a good sign. They never really showed negative signs before leaving. You wouldn't know what to expect. The two other scientists in the room were making their way out and one of them, Alex, stopped and smiled at you. "Another successful transfer."
Alex was a scientist in the lower levels, learning about the environment of exomoon Pandora. They were above training level and they were great at holding a conversation. Most in the area of study were not.
You half smiled. "As always. Now they just need to keep alive out there in the jungles." You chuckled and Alex smiled uncomfortably. You were shuffling the papers away, still uneasy about the information held within them. "I'm sure they'll be fine though. They always are..." Your words came to a slow halt when you turned your head. Quaritch was leaning against the viewing glass and smiling at you. A towel was thrown over his shoulder but he didn't seem out of breath. He knocked on the glass and said something, making you sigh because the intercom wasn't on. You walk to the desk and press the button. "Colonel, the button to your left."
He turned his head, then walked to the wall and pressed the button, looking back at you and speaking. "So about that candy bar."
You shake your head and press the button once he lets go. "We still have some paperwork to finish up. Meet me at my office in the next,” You lift your wrist up to spot your watch. “20 minutes. And if you can keep your trap shut and we get along, then maybe you can pick out the mystery box.”
"Understood Doctor." He grinned and turned around to walk out of the room. When you turned around, Alex had raised an eyebrow at you from behind their thick glasses.
"What?" You got your papers together and waited for them to speak.
"Are you giving them candy? Like actual sugared candies?" They started to chuckle, covering their mouth with some papers. "Like uh, a real doctor’s office would?"
"Look, it keeps most of them behaving when they're in my office, you'd be surprised at how childish soldiers really are and it's not that strange." You walk to the door with a giggling scientist behind you. "And, it helps with building better friendships. It is not that weird." You hold the door open for them to exit into the hallway. They hummed and turned to you.
"Yeah? I don't know if I could, you know, work with the recoms. I know they're just people in Na'vi form but it's intimidating don't you think? Not that you aren't capable of handling that, I think you're the most capable of these sorts of things..." They paused and gave you a small wave. "I'll see you at the meeting in a few days." With that, Alex turned and left. You gave a short wave back. You remembered they like coffee as well, so you had to remember to bring a cup for them at the next meeting.
Once you were back at your office, you set the papers down and unlocked a drawer beneath you. From inside, you took out an old, old telegraph machine and quickly hooked it up. After finding the correct channels and setting the machine down beneath the desk you began to send a message:
“SUPPLIES-SENDING-SOON-MORE-SOLDIERS-FILLING-BAS-”
There was a knock at the door, causing you to jump and quickly typing “Z”. This lets the receiver know that you were interrupted. You disconnect the wires quickly but let the machine sit under the desk. “Come in!” You flinched at how loud you shouted, knowing anyone could hear clearly through the door.
A year ago, upon arrival on this planet you knew a few men and women who had already been living here. What they were doing to help keep this planet alive and healthy, in your eyes, was the only right thing that came out of this operation. Getting into contact with them was tricky but you all managed. You were never able to see them due to the risk of getting caught. What was conflicting was hiding beneath a desk and secretly sending out rations when they were out there, fighting for their lives against the wilderness and against you. Technically, you and the rest of the humans here. You had almost stopped responding to their call after security became harsh and even some interrogations were conducted. However after hearing they had children with them… You couldn’t let them suffer. For months now, late in the night you would send out a service bot with coded locations to them. Inside the bot would be medicals, batteries, drinks and food. You knew they had food of their own but for just in case.
There were a few times you were sure that you’d been caught. All false alarms of course. The door to your office opened and the familiar blue body ducks inside. You try to relax your shoulders and give your best smile. Miles had looked you up and down, his jaw moving as something processed in his thoughts. “Don’t give me that smile.” He pulls the chair out and sits down across from you at the desk. “That fake one you give everyone.” At this, your face dropped into annoyance.
“Fine, I won’t.” You respond while getting out the rest of the paperwork. You just knew. You knew he could find out. If anyone in this whole operation could find out you were helping the enemy, it was him. Sure, anyone could see through your ‘I love my job!’ facade and the awkward smiles you give but something about how he studied you and spoke to you sounded some alarms in your body. He was toying with you, but you aren’t as imbecilic as he may think.
He leaned forward so his elbows rested on his knees. “It just seems like you’re hiding something with that smile.”
Your eyes flickered up but you played it off, giving a scoff from your nose and taking out one of your favorite pens. “If you’re talking about the mystery box, I do keep it locked up for good reason.” You raise your eyes up towards him, your best poker face on. Quaritch on the other hand was giving you a hard stare, one you didn’t back out of. You could see his ear twitch and it dawned on you that he was listening to your heartbeat. One of the upgrades you designed the soldiers to have.
He was listening to you lying.
You wanted to laugh. You wanted to chuckle at this predicament you found yourself in. If this is how fate would play out then you would play. Carefully, and coordinated. You broke eye contact first, looking down at his lips and back to his eyes, glancing at his chest then looking at the papers. Simple and sweet. When you cleared your throat, you could see in your peripheral vision he sat up and turned his head. “So the next half of these papers are about the same as the questions I asked before. Most are going to be about your training from today. Yes or no questions, or unsure. Ready?” When you looked up at him again, he was sitting back with his arms folded, tail swishing. He didn’t look you in the eyes this time when he nodded.
Your questions were the same, he answered the same, without any muscle spasms this time. They seemed to go by fast, something you were hoping for without complaint or remark. Once that was done you stood up and walked to the closet behind him. He turned his head to watch but didn’t say anything. You unlocked it, pulled out a shoe box and walked back over to the desk to set it down. A smile formed on his lips and he eyed you, seeming to forget about a few minutes ago. You cross your arms and lean against the desk with your hip. He scoffed. “This is what all that excitement was about? This little shoe box?” He slowly opened it, half expecting it to be filled with snakes or something to pop out and succion to his face. But as promised by the others, it was filled with plastic wrapped candies. Some chocolates, some hard candies, even a few familiar red liquorice ropes. The Colonel let the lid close and looked back at you.
You sigh and reach up to rub the back of your neck. “Our first meeting ended off rough. I blame both parties for that-” He scoffs. “ -But I am a doctor, and I’m supposed to be professional and helpful. You apologized and I did not, so Colonel Quaritch. I apologize for my behavior yesterday and I hope that you’ll understand my reasoning for such. I’m hoping we can put it behind us and start fresh.” You straightened up and held out your hand. Miles eyed it and you could see him thinking. He looked at you again and took your hand. You both shook and dropped your hands away.
“Thank you, doctor.” He smiled, then leaned over to the box and dug around. “Now which one should I pick?”
“Oh I already know which one you’ll pick.” You casually shrug, walking behind your desk with a conceited smile. You look at him as he raises an eyebrow at you. His hand was in the box and you pointed at it. “Without seeing it on this side, you’ve got the red twizzlers packet in your hand right now.”
That grin grows on his face and he slowly pulls his hand out, proving you correct with the small red packet between his fingers. You let out a brief laugh and sit back down in your chair. His ears flick and he shakes his head. “If I may ask, how did you guess that?” He closed the box and sat back in his chair.
“1, it's one of the first things the recombinant soldiers go for. I tally most of the picks.. And 2, you’re mentally 51 and older gentlemen love licorice.” At your second reasoning, he let out a good laugh.
“Older gentlemen huh? 51 ain’t that old..” the last part he mumbled. Finally he got up and walked to the door but stopped before leaving. “Thank you again doctor. Oh and I liked that smile you gave me a second ago. A real genuine one.” He smiled towards you again before finally leaving your office.
And for some strange reason, you felt your heart skip.

Miles didn’t need a diploma to know that something was up. He knew that, obviously. At first he thought you just hated your job and that was that. But now he was growing a new suspicion. He didn’t want to jump to conclusions just yet, but for now he’d have to keep a close eye on you. He looked down at the red licorice in his hand. The image of you leaning against your desk on your hip, the glance you took at his lips. And then that laugh. That laugh that made his cheeks heat up. You had to be doing this on purpose, right?
He’d have to keep a very close eye on you.
Once back at his room, he found a note on his desk to be in the conference room in an hour to discuss plans involving the Na’vi still hiding. He couldn’t remember much from his death, but he could remember who was there; Jake Sully. He knew that he had something to do with his death, and he knew that Jake was alive.Hopefully this next meeting will help clear things up.
He set down the note and picked up the candy again. He unwrapped it and tore a piece off to eat it. His tail began to sway at what you had said earlier and he scoffed. Not that old, it’s just a good piece of candy, he thought to himself as he ate the rest.
Tbh, Simon is probably hesitant to comfort you when you're stressed. I was tempted to write that in my last fic but I was feeling down and liked the idea at the time.
He'd still be there, but he'd do whatever you asked him, to the dot. Leave you alone for a while? Done. Cook your favorite food? Right away. Go to the store and buy that video game you've been wanting to play? Yes ma'am.
However.
König? He would fuck you until you didn't even know how to spell the word stress anymore.
Firm believer. In this.
