In the dark, let us howl at falling stars
Let us scratch the earth, and the dirt
We are free there are no cages, no bars

True North.
You are my 'True North', like a compass; No matter where I am, my needle points your way.
When I think about you, my mind is at peace.
And if I were to travel again, I would wonder what you were doing, where you were and what you were thinking;
You are 'The Lady' over the horizon, the ‘she’ I have always searched for, the 'Her' for who, once I had seen you, I would spent my remaining days in quest.
You will always be my 'Point North', somewhere over the edge of the world - just out of vision.
And while I lay on far beaches, wondering where my life was going, you were out there - living your life!
While on my travels, I was drawn closer and closer to her .. until the drawing stopped.
You are the promise on the horizon that turns into blue sky when the sun rises, and when the waves are too loud to ignore any longer in sleep.
So I awake to clear my eyes in the salty air and see outlines of the hills around me.
They form the shape of your hips and thighs against the early morning sky, and the coastline travels with me, cliff after cliff, turn after turn, while I make my way slowly South .. looking for you.
Deeper into the Mediterranean hue I wander, to be lost completely among the Latin smiles, blue waves and golden beaches;
But now not lost at all, knowing as I venture South, that somewhere out there lies my 'True North'.
No matter how far I roam or where I will be, I walk with you, I dream of you, I sing to you, I remember you in my heart, knowing you'll always be with me.
I love you .. and I miss you so much.
