I'm thrilled, today I had the last session with my first patient, she's a lovely girl of 15 and she's great. Every one of my teachers at uni told me that teens are so complicated and that establish rapport with them is difficult af, but in my experience it wasn't, we click from the beginning, today she and her mom were so grateful and happy for everything we achieved during our time working together as a team, also, she told me she'd never feel as understood as she did in therapy with me and that she's gonna miss me, as if that wasn't enough, at the end of the session I told her I have a gift for her, a diary so she can write her thoughts and feelings now that I won't be there, she told me that she have something for me too, she gave me a beautiful necklace, and before she hug me, being honest I almost cry right there. It's the best first experience I could've ask for and I'm gonna remember it and her forever đđ¤
âDid I understand this phrase on my target language because Iâm actually getting any better at it or am I just making clever deductions and educated guessesâ a thrilling novel by me
the best thing about language learning is that you donât have to give up leisure time activities such as reading books or watching tv shows n you only have to switch that piece of media to your target language n you can enjoy it all the same while getting more necessary work done
quarantine day 32, classes are still suspended, tons of readings before class resume, a lot of water for hydration, caffeine to keep awake

iâve been saying this to myself this morning and iâm going to say it to you in case you need to hear it: you are not here to be physically attractive. that is not your purpose. you are here to learn new things and be kind to people and listen to your favorite music and pet cute dogs and read big books and drink good coffee. you are here to see beauty in the world and create it when you canât find any. you are not here to impress people with how you look.

at home for the remainder of the semester!
pro tip for small (shared) bedrooms with no desk space: a nice lap desk is heaven sent đ

1. Remind them of all the kind and thoughtful things theyâve done for you, and for the other people in their life.
2. Remind them of times when theyâve pushed ahead, and kept on going, even though it was hard.
3. Remind them of the times when things worked out eventually, and their efforts were rewarded, and they reached a personal goal.
4. Remind of the funny things theyâve said and done, and the times when youâve laughed, and shared some awsome memories.
5. Show them they are worthwhile and are valuable by doing something special that makes them feel theyâre loved.
