I'm thrilled, today I had the last session with my first patient, she's a lovely girl of 15 and she's great. Every one of my teachers at uni told me that teens are so complicated and that establish rapport with them is difficult af, but in my experience it wasn't, we click from the beginning, today she and her mom were so grateful and happy for everything we achieved during our time working together as a team, also, she told me she'd never feel as understood as she did in therapy with me and that she's gonna miss me, as if that wasn't enough, at the end of the session I told her I have a gift for her, a diary so she can write her thoughts and feelings now that I won't be there, she told me that she have something for me too, she gave me a beautiful necklace, and before she hug me, being honest I almost cry right there. It's the best first experience I could've ask for and I'm gonna remember it and her forever 😭🤍

Decluttered my desk, watered my plants, made room for the textbook, and finally got around to do some serious studying for my Russian exam (which is due thursday!). Thinking about doing another 30 days of productivity challenge, just to keep the vibe going and kick off the start of the academic year in the right way - I'll just leave it in the tags for now. Hope you all had a nice day!

🚨 TOXIC PRODUCTIVITY 🚨
📝Have you ever felt you didn't 'deserve a break'? Or felt guilty when you did take any?
🧠Then I think you might have a bout of toxic productivity!
☀️What the heck is that you ask?
Well, it's essentially the unhealthy need to be productive all.the.time.
👉🏻I remember watching a reel where the creator said their toxic trait was not going to the 🚽 until they finished whatever work they had to. Tons of people in the comments agreed that they similarly had toxic traits too like not eating dinner until they 'deserved it'.
What the heck. No one should ever hold their pee or not eat dinner. You'll just get a UTI and starve yourself.
For what?!!?! No one should be rewarding themselves with basic human needs like food and going to the bathroom!!!! Those are literally things that keep us alive!!!
🥲Dear students and academics alike, please don't do this! 😩😩😩
Taking breaks is being productive
Self-care is being productive. Self-care is not just using face masks and taking bubble baths. Self-care is having boundaries, self-care is holding your ground and saying no when you need to. Self-care is putting yourself first.
Taking time out for yourself is being productive.
🏠 At the start of the pandemonium there was some post on Twitter from some butthead that went along the lines of "you better come out of this lockdown speaking another language and having an online business or you suck" to paraphrase.
💉Buddy, why are you patronizing strangers? We're all just trying not to die here. There was so much stuff online about being productive 24/7; yeah sure a lot of people's businesses thrived and tons of people put themselves out there. But shaming people for not doing the same was really a shitty message at a time when people were afraid of what was going on and were losing people they loved.
🧠You are not a machine, you have needs, and taking breaks and time to yourself is one of them. 🫀

Last semester I'd always forget(procrastinate until I forget) to take my quizes and remember it a few hours after it's due. Now I'm glad that I did not forget to take it this time today. Apart from that, 44 degrees and maths don't make a great combo, tested by me.
15.04.21// sunny day walks and sunny day study sessions ☕️ we’re so close to the end of this term! I am blessed to not have any exams this term, only papers! And only one more term and I’ve finished my degree! Masters degrees fly by, I can’t believe I’m 2/3 finished already.
Sending love and motivation to everyone 💕

Also- taking votes, should I go to sleep when I’m planning on getting up at 3:30 AM for a flight? current leaning is just stay up because… well otherwise I’d just take a short nap
The semester is almost over and now i have more time on my hands to read :”) which is great bcs i missed it, and its my favourite me time activity. How is everyone doing these days? <3

I probably spend 99% of my life here at the moment. But tomorrow I will submit my bachelors thesis and finally have time for art again.
So, today was a really productive day. I studied for more than 4 hours in a row, without considering the lectures that I had in the morning, there's my forest at the end of the post, it helps me to feel productive when I see the trees, someone else feels the same way?. Also, I started a future learn course about dementia today and I'm super excited about it. A miracle happened today, I had a psychoanalysis group test in which for the first time this semester my group help me to answer instead of being mute on the breakroom. In the other hand I didn't sleep too much last night but who cares, I'm proud of myself.
I hope every one of you is safe and have a nice day💫
June is here!!!!!

051521 - My sister got me a fresh eucalyptus bunch for my birthday a few weeks ago, and even though they are dried now they are quite fragrant. I love how having them on my desk adds a nice dimension to my desk space! Do you like having potted plants or fresh flowers on your desk? Or do you not prefer them at all?
A BOOK, A BUJO, AND AN ART JOURNAL = the essentials
Hey everyone, I'd like to know if you listen music when you study and if you do which music do you listen to? I'm currently writing an essay so if you could recommend something to me that would be great.
My music at the moment is a piano instrumental version of different song from old Barbie movies, that I just found by accident, so no worries I won't judge.
new desk and desk setup just in time to get started on summer research coding for the lab ☺️✨
still getting settled in my new place and will be painting soon so the walls won’t be this bare for too much longer!!
Yesterday I had a meeting with my professor, so she could tell me what she thought about my essay, she told me that she loved it and that it was the best one in the class. I'm so excited since it's the first essay that I'd ever write about educational psychology. Also, I got a good grade, but for me is more important the fact that my essay was good and interesting according to someone who knows about the subject than the grade that I got.
09.04.21 / sending you happy friday from my workspace. i hope you’ve had a lovely week ♡
