It’s Because They Have This “perfect Victim” Mentality Towards Women Of Color. They’re Just So

It’s because they have this “perfect victim” mentality towards women of color. They’re just so innocent, kind, and helpless, accepting of everyone because they’re just so desperate for help they will accept minor amounts of abuse instead of major— I mean, they’ve always been accepting of these things!!

Whereas in reality women of color are just as able to form opinions based on logic as anybody else. In my opinion they don’t deserve to be treated like some child that needs saving, by people who liken them to men but in a progressive way this time. They’re allowed to have the focus solely on them, to demand more solely on their own merit and not that of nebulous “black trans women” (half of which were self-admittedly just transvestite, looking at you, people who screech about Marsha P Johnson)

Also women of color are the most effected by the sex trade, but nobody wants to talk about that because then they’d have to stop jacking off to their favorite victim and telling themselves it’s moral because it’s inclusive. So instead they twist our words and ignore us. There’s plenty of radfem women of color and I’d even argue it’s more normalized within every other group except white women, in my experience and research. Especially when you look outside of America (like the so-called transphobic 4B movement from South Korea). People are just willfully short sighted to serve their own choices and preconceived notions of the world.

The idea that radical feminism is just for white women and that all radical feminists talk about is white women is so laughable to me. I hate to break it to these people but equating the idea of a fight for gender equality with white western culture and labelling the misogynistic elements of non western cultures as progressive and based is actually so harmful. I care about all women, I’m not going to turn a blind eye to women of colour being oppressed by their own cultures out of fear of being labelled a racist sorry.

Why is everyone obsessed with calling sapphic relationships in media toxic? People act like they haven’t seen a slow burn enemies-to-lovers done properly before. Meanwhile, straight couples get to break up twice an episode and scream that they hate each other before a heart-wrenching love confession and everyone eats it up. Booktok has got everybody and their mom drooling over heinous serial criminals disguised as anti-heroes who kidnap their victim and traumatize her into submission. Be ffr.

i love shitty DIY projects

make ur own jacket!! make ur own patches out of whatever u have and sew em on however u can. use what u already own or find things at the thrift store or borrow stuff from other stores! the possibilities are endless!

shitting on other people's diy is probably one of the least punk things u can do imo.

it is so much cooler to wear shitty diy than any piece of fast fashion.

This whole idea from Conservatives/the right in general that men are “leaders” is completely a farce even in their own groups, and I can speak to this firsthand because I grew up in it. Super Catholic, church services were all in Latin, women weren’t allowed to wear pants or cut their hair shorter than their shoulders, and they were sporting all of America’s current insane political views a decade before they became more popular. And men still did jack all.

I was running the church choir in all but name by the age of 14, despite the choir director being a man in his 20s. Women handled all the childcare and child rearing, women were the ones who organized everything. Who put up the decorations for each season. Who provided the food. Who kept the church clean and in repair. Who taught the children during Sunday School. They were the ones who made decisions for their families, the ones who kept tabs on everything, the ones who organized playdates and homeschool meetups and church potlucks. Women built everything and men only placed their stamp of approval on it to claim the work.

And I wish more people would WAKE UP to this realization. Being a leader means nothing if you aren’t actually working. Simply sitting on your ass and giving the occasional instruction is not true leadership, nor is it even the servant leadership Christ himself advocated for. Those men were completely useless in the grand scheme of things and we would have continued on without them with relative ease. They hold onto relevancy by forcing women to depend on them financially but that’s all they have to stand on. And it just pisses me off idk this is just a rant

someone: don’t u think it’s disturbing how in the past few years the level of femininity women are expected to perform and the industries they’re expected to contribute to in order to be taken seriously, especially on platforms like social media, has skyrocketed to the point that perfect makeup, contouring, acrylic nails, and eyelash extensions have become almost a social expectation and when women express no interest in adhering to those standards they’re met with vitriol and scorn straight woman who thinks Legally Blonde is the apex of feminist media: okay but it’s my choice? if i want to be feminine i should have the right to choose to do that because feminism is about choice

I love vampirism as a metaphor for being homosexual and how our sexuality is seen as inherently predatory when it shouldn’t be, I love vampirism as a metaphor for obsessive and destructive love, I love vampirism as a metaphor for mental illness, BUT I also present vampirism as a metaphor for physical chronic illness.

The constant ache and hunger that will never, ever go away. You learn to live with it but sometimes it becomes overwhelming and causes you to lash out because you just can’t stand it anymore. The cycles of telling yourself you’re fine, of being able to make your peace with it, followed by the violent despair of knowing you will never know a life again without this pain and suffering. Slowly forgetting what it was like to feel normal. The ways you cope with and abate the pain are constantly demonized by those around you so you go as long as possible before giving in to what you need to survive, only for the waiting to worsen the effects so you need even more once you give in. Being seen as weak or worthy of ostracism and ridicule for something that was completely out of your control.

As someone who’s had chronic pain (and other symptoms) my whole life, the character archetype of someone being changed into a monster against their will (vampirism, werewolves, etc) has always spoken to me for that reason. Like I get it, sexy alpha werewolf claims you blablabla, but I think modern literature has leaned too much into the sexy aspect of monsters and could use a lot more of the psychological horror aspect. Really having to sit with what this character has become against their will and think about the ethics of their actions, and if they can even be condemned for what they do in response when it’s out of their control. Blame that had nowhere to go. Idk I was musing that over last night as I went over some of my old WIP and it just interests me much more than the sexy monster trope

Better late than never to figure this stuff out I guess 🤷

Radical feminism, centering women, and worshipping female deities really turned my life around FAST because what do you mean my constant mental health problems are slowly alleviating, I’m making new female friends, I’ve finally left behind the toxic male friends, I’ve applied to and gotten my first management position, I’m gaining weight and muscle, and I’m talking to a lovely beautiful femme all within this year so far. Like I know radical feminism covers very serious issues too and politically life kind of sucks, but life really is beautiful as well when you center women and female-ness among the chaos. I love rad feminism and I love lesbianism.
