Diluc

Telling Diluc that you have ADHD is kind of an experience because he has no idea what it is and you’re horrific with explaining things with big words so the both of you end up giving up and seeing how everything goes.

Though after your bad explanation he starts noticing things that you do that you mention are linked with ADHD, the way you keep losing things about the house just for Diluc to find them on top of the kitchen counter not 5 minutes later.

When your brain cannot physically comprehend the block of text in paperwork you were just given to look at you go to Diluc so he can give you a summary about it then go about whatever is needed on the paper. Diluc tries to avoid giving you large chunks of text to read regarding his business, but alas, sometimes it’s completely unavoidable so he’s more than happy to help in situations like that.

Diluc loves it when you talk about your day and you end up on three different tangents which will never bring you back to the original point. He likes hearing you tell stories about your day, a smile never leaves his face when you do.

If you have something that your hyperfixated on Diluc likes asking questions about it just to see your eyes light up and rant about your current favourite thing.

Diluc also likes to pull strings to maybe get an early copy of your favourite book, or get the sword design you’ve been working on get forged just to see how happy you get.

Xiao

You never actually tell Xiao you have ADHD, more he just notices things that mortals don’t really tend to do. Though it does take a while for him to notice these things thanks to his distinct lack of communication to mortals in general.

So to start with Xiao just presumes that all mortals just have a lack of object permeance. He finds it a little amusing to watch you look about his room at Wangshu to look for the one thing that’s most definitely in his line of sight. Though if you’re looking forever Xiao will give you a hand.

Xiao isn’t much of a talker, he prefers it when you talk to him. So if that means asking you about your interests and such just to get you to ramble about your favourite thing, so be it. He’ll even try to remember some of the things he mentioned just to see the way your eyes light up when he mentions it to you and you explain about it more.

Xiao will never admit it but yes, he does actually get very interested in whatever you’re interested about and may even ask to borrow the media that your interest is from to see it himself. The way you get extra exited when he mentions that is just a bonus to him.

If you ask Xiao to read a big block of text for you he’ll question as to why you need him to read such a thing, you’ll just reply with “It’s hard for me to comprehend big walls of text, it all jumbles up and I get lost on the page”. He doesn’t ask after the first few times, mainly because her forgot the first three or so times.

But, in the end Xiao is more than happy to read the walls of text for you, even if he doesn’t understand the context.

If you have a comfort food Xiao more than understands considering he eats a lot of Tofu when his karmic debt is weighing on his shoulder, and he finds comfort in it normally anyways. Xiao will make sure there’s always at least a portion or two of your favourite food in stock at Wangshu Inn because he knows the feeling of not finding the food he wants when he’s feeling down and overstimulated by everything existing around him.

If you’re easy to overstimulate in social environments Xiao can more than sympathise so if you prefer to eat a picnic in the wilds with him he’s ecstatic to comply. The moment you mention needing to go into town for stuff he always has to end the day off alone just for the fresh air.

Zhongli

The first time you mention having ADHD to Zhongli he nods claiming that it makes some of the things you do make sense. So, thankfully you don’t have to expose him to horrifically worded explanations like Diluc had to endure.

Zhongli has much the opposite of you lack of object permanence. And such Zhongli can easily help you find things you’ve misplaced, be it your keys. Or the fact your pouring yourself a second cup of tea because you simply forgot about the other one you just put down on the side.

Having an ongoing interest in history always works out with great conversations with Zhongli. You might mention something that you remember reading about in a history book and Zhongli is right there to expand your knowledge on the subject. You learn some cool new history facts and Zhongli gets to talk about something he’s incredibly well versed in

While Zhongli can’t entirely sympathise with comfort foods and food fixations he can however supply the foods you like so you are more comfortable. Zhongli tends to read your emotions, so when it comes to making dinner he always knows when you want your comfort food. If the day has already made you upset enough you might just cry at the gesture of Zhongli reading your mind.

Seeing as Zhongli enjoys reading pretty much anything, if you’re dumped with paperwork for whatever reason by the Adventurers Guild Zhongli is more than happy to read through them for you and summarise the papers for you before you sign it. What an angel <33

ok but consider: dog boy polycule with a katzlein s/o. they're so so curious about you bc they're not familiar with feline body language the way they are with canine, and they're constantly discussing amongst themselves what your various tail signals mean. the first time they hear you purr while cuddling they get so thrown off & startled bc they mistake it for a growl, but once you explain it's a happy/comfy response, they make it a competition to see who can make you purr loudest/most often 🥺

Just, the dog boys wanting to understand you more so they go find stray cats to observe. Cyno has to stop them from taking one home tho. Razor and Cyno feel embarrassed asking you certain things, so they like to observe more, but Gorou is tactful with his questions- He maneuvers the conversation to get you to talk about your katzlein heritage and family so he can learn about you.

When you purr, it’s Cyno that’s the only one who recognizes the sound. He and you both have to calm down Gorou and Razor, but especially Razor. Gorou gets defensive, but is easy to reason with. Razor gets sad and scared cause he thinks he didn’t something wrong, and is hard to convince of otherwise. Once they all understand exactly why you purr though, it’s another competition indeed to make you purr the longest/loudest!

And god forbid any one of them catch you grooming yourself…They all find it so adorable when you lick the back of your hand and smooth it over your hair. It makes them wanna just eat you up! It’s up to you to figure out figuratively or literally.

Pairing tail signals with beating up Childe, it gives them another heads up that you are Royally Pissed and they should back off. They’ve lived around you long enough to know tail flicking is a sign of irritation, so they try to cut off the annoyance there to prevent you going into sicko-mode fksbcksbc

the escaping one skfskdfjgdsf. i love when the powerful character tries to be all protective but the civilian character just.... does not need it. they might not be strong but they have other work-arounds. esp if it’s something totally mundane or a weird talent they developed??? idk i like when the ‘weaker’/normal one is still totally independent

zhongli has a moss bed for his pet rocks ...

Amazing, also consider: he has a moss bed but like in the fanciest jewelry box you have ever seen (that he absolutely didn't purchase himself) and he puts them to sleep every night too :)

His definition of keeping pet rocks might be synonymous with like, collecting gems. So everybody mistakes them for jewelry but you open it up and there lies a pebble tucked gently in its moss bed. Zhongli claims it has magical properties that defines it as living and that's why he keeps it. People thought he was insane but since he is the rock expert or whatever they eventually believed him and some plotted to steal it. Obviously that didn't work out and you know what happens when one crosses the (ex-) Geo Archon.

— SUMMARY :: You have always been fascinated by the mortals and their traditions, and Xiao can't help but take notice of this. So, he surprises you with a typical human tradition when they like someone.

You sat perched on a roof top, watching with the utmost interest as a young woman recieves a flower from a handsome man. She takes the flower in her fingers, a smile gracing her lips as she looks up to meet the mans eyes. He says something you're unable to hear, but whatever it was made the woman smile even wider before throwing her arms around his neck and kissing the man. "Oh!" You look the other way, up at the stars before glancing back and seeing their hands now linked together and walking away. "Hmm... Mortals are so fascinating." You stand up, stretching out your limbs before deciding to return to Xiao, who's likely waiting at the Wangshu Inn for you.

"Were you waiting long?" You call out, stepping next to your fellow adeptus.

"No." Xiao's eyes don't leave the horizon. "...Where were you?"

"At Liyue Harbor," You tell him, "Watching the mortals! I witnessed something so intriguing! A man gave this pretty woman a flower," you glance at him, trying to watch his face for any reaction but it remained neutral. "And then they kissed!" His nose crinkled in disgust.

"Why?"

"Why did they kiss?" He nods and you hum, leaning against the wooden railing. "I think... Because they love each other." You weren't looking, but his eyes widened a fraction. Love. That was something that had been on his mind for quite sometime now. He swallowed down the want to ask for more- what is love? why was he so fascinated with it suddenly? was it the warm feeling he got in his chest when he saw you?

"I don't understand your fascination with them." He says quietly, eyes falling to the scenery below. "Don't you ever get bored of their interactions?"

"You just don't see it the way I do." You pout, looking over at him. "I wish you could see them through my eyes, then you'd see how captivating they are! I wish I could recieve a flower from someone who loves me..." You grumble, looking back at the horizon, the moment from earlier filling your mind.

"Mmm..." He looks over at you, thinking for a moment before deciding to leave for the night. "Let's meet tomorrow. Here, same time."

"Wait-" Before you got the chance to ask why he was suddenly leaving, Xiao disappeared. You sigh, grumbling about how he always seems to leave a little too early for your liking.

But, just as he asked, you returned to the inn the following night. Returning to the top balcony of the Wangshu Inn earlier than normal, you found he wasn't there. "Hm, he's always here before me..." You wait a while longer, not recognizing his presence until he spoke up.

"Y/n?" You jump at his voice, turning to face him- You go to scold him only to stop and stare at him with wide eyes. Although trying to act nonchalant as he holds out the Qingxin flowers, Xiao's heart is pounding against his ribcage. "These are for you." Your eyes swirl with adoration as you take the flowers from his hands, your fingers sparking with electricity as they graze his fingertips. You giggle, smelling them like you've seen the mortals do.

"Xiao! Thank you!" You smile brightly, looking up at him to see his ears and cheeks are tinted red. You hum, taking a step forward and cupping his cheek gently before pressing a kiss to the other one. You take a step back and you can almost see the steam that radiates off of him.

"I-It was nothing," he looks the other way, unable to meet your gaze. "Yesterday you said you wanted flowers, and I just happened to see them."

"Is that so?" You pluck one of the flowers off of the stem and then placing it behind his ear. "Oh wow," You whisper, "You're so pretty, Xiao!" Maybe you wanted to give your fellow adeptus a heart attack or maybe you were entirely oblivious to how he was affected by your actions, but either way, Xiao was trying his hardest to act unaffected.

"You..." He huffs, plucking the flower from behind his ear and tucking it behind yours. He softens a bit, "It looks better on you." Your pretty sure your cheeks are on fire after that, and now its your turn to look the other way. You clear your throat, wondering if you should say what was on your mind or not but before you could Xiao spoke. "These mortal customs aren't... aren't terrible."

And you couldn't deny that you agreed. Instead you leaned forward, and with a coy smile you say, "Shall I teach you some more then?”

It's finally that time of the year where the lakes of Mondstat freeze over for the refreshingly cold winter. Your cyro vision buzzes happily at your hip as you surround yourself with your element. If it weren't for your doting partner you most likely would be wearing similar things to what you would wear in the summer. The cold breeze and soft crunches of snow is what truly makes you feel at ease.

Your partner on the other hand? He's not doing so hot. Which is ironic considering he has a pyro vision strapped to his own hip. Diluc only wears an extra layer of fluff under his normal clothes, but the chattering of teeth and hot aura around him tells you that the extra fluff really doesn't help. If Diluc didn't have to leave the Dawn over the winter, he would not. But he can't say no to you as you ask him to come out and skate with you for the billionth time.

"Diluc baby, you're going to have to stop using your vision otherwise you'll melt the ice" you tell him gesturing to the small patch of thawed snow beneath his feet. The man huffs a little and pouts as he stops covering himself with the warmth of his element. "Okay now take my hand" you tell him offering your hand out to him. He hesitates.

"What if I fall?" he asks hovering his hand a few inches above yours. You smile warmly at him.

"If you fall I'll help you up and kiss you better" you reply waiting for your partner to close the space between your hands.

"That doesn't sound too bad" he says lightly before connecting your hands with his. You smile at him again and lead him off of the snow and onto the ice.

You spend the next half hour with Diluc holding tightly onto your arm as you talk him through the movements of how to skate. And before he knows it he's getting onto his own two feet and wobbly skating about the pond. As he stumbles on the ice you hum happily while skating about the pond. You briefly notice Diluc stop skating and attempting to hold his balance in attempt to watch you gracefully glide about the area. You stop skating in front of Diluc a smile upon your face.

"You look so in your element" he tells you reaching out and taking your hand. One of those rare, lovesick smiles rest happily on his face. You smile at him and squeeze his hand.

"Ironic that" you jest the feeling of your cyro vision pulses happily at its mention, "I'm so happy that you came out with me today" you tell him with a peck on the cheek. Diluc nods and squeezes your hand again.

"Me too, seeing you so happy makes me feel all fuzzy" he confesses moving his arms around you slow enough for his body to not slip on the ice so eventually he does embrace you. You giggle at him and pepper his face with kisses. Dilucs face goes red in embarrassment from your love and his confession.

"You're too cute" you tell him between kisses "C'mon lets get you inside and warmed up okay babe?" you ask slowly breaking the hug and leading him back inside.

The two of you huddle up on the couch in front of the fire, Diluc's face is happily buried in your hair. You feel Diluc's lips upturn in a smile as you tell him about the skating competitions you've been to, the time you taught the younger kids in your village how to skate.

You recount the year you received your vision, leaving out the more angsty details, you tell Diluc about how the vision reignited your love for the ice. So much so you often found yourself freezing small ponds just to skate.

If you could share more winters with Diluc just for the skating and the cosying up with him you would.
