I read a lot of sskk fics and one of my favorite Atsushi moods is him having gay as fuck thoughts during inappropriate situations. Like yes your mans does look hot while he's suffering BUT ATSUSHI BBY worry first horny later.

atsushi: akutagawa is so annoying and rude and i hate him

kunikida, hopeful: so ull avoid him??

atsushi: no, im asking u to come to my wedding with him

I think it would be funny if everyone collectively just didnt care to change in to their work clothes for the plot of dead apple cause imagine Chuuya fighting that big ass dragon still in his dog themed pajama pants 🐶

It's also an interpretation I like for his character because it could symbolize how he's chasing after his own downfall. He's constantly trying to get stronger, trying to defeat Atsushi for Dazai's approval despite the toll it takes on his body. He knows he doesn't have long left and even after getting into a coma, he doesn't stop fighting no matter how much it harms his body.

And I just like to draw him with a cigarette cause it looks cool on him.

canon divergence where akutagawa doesn't become a vampire, Years after the events of chapter 88. Do you think atsushi would forget his face? Do you think one day he will realize he can not remember akutagawas face anymore? Do you think one day he will realize all that's left of him is some blurry faraway memory of a smile and a coat?
