“If you inherently long for something, become it first. If you want gardens, become the gardener. If you want love, embody love. If you want mental stimulation, change the conversation. If you want peace, exude calmness. If you want to fill your world with artists, begin to paint. If you want to be valued, respect your own time. If you want to live ecstatically, find the ecstasy within yourself. This is how to draw it in, day by day, inch by inch.”

O Allāh, Guide Me With Those Whom You Have Guided, Grant Me Well-being With Those Whom You Have Granted

O Allāh, guide me with those whom you have guided, grant me well-being with those whom you have granted well-being, take me to your care with those you have cared for, bless me in whatever you have given, and protect me from the bad of what you have decreed.

FOR OUR SISTERS WHO ENCOUNTER TRIALS AND DIFFICULTIES – BY OUR NOBLE FATHER AND ESTEEMED SHAYKH SAALIH AL FAWZAAN

Trials and tribulations come to each and every one of us with both a purpose and a reward. A mighty reward awaits the believer who continues to strive upon obedience and the one who exercises patience during times of difficulty. Patience is an ingredient we all need in life. Without patience, we are nothing, we will lose the battle against shaytaan – he will defeat us, we will lose ourselves, we will lose our religion.

Ibn Qayyim once mentioned that indeed every single soul shall be tested in this life. Prepare my noble sisters, indeed in this life we shall all be tested. May Allaah grant us strength, patience, and firmness. May Allaah make us from those who return to Allaah in humility and submissiveness. May Allaah make us from the obedient servants.

Supplicating to Allaah during Trials:

Abundant supplication to Allaah is from the causes of success at times of trials, in order for Allaah to protect us from such tests. The Messenger said:

“Seek refuge in Allaah from trials whether apparent or hidden.” [Saheeh Muslim] The Prophet in the last tashahhud would seek refuge from four things and he ordered us to do similarly.

He said: “Seek refuge in Allaah form four: punishment of the hell fire; punishment of the grave; the trials of life and death; and from the trials of the Anti-Christ (Dajjaal).” [Saheeh Muslim]

The Muslim should increase therefore, in calling upon Allaah to protect himself from evil of known and unknown trials. He should beg Allaah, for He is close to us (in responding)and answering our prayers. Whoever turns to Allaah and seeks His protection, is protected by Him. Whoever calls upon Him, He answers. He descends every night to the lowest heaven and says: “Is there anyone asking from Me that I may give him his need? Is there one calling upon Me that I may answer him? Is there anyone seeking forgiveness from Me that I may forgive him?” [Bukhaaree & Muslim]

Allaah has opened His door to those in need, night and day, but this is an additional time and opportunity Allaah designates, as a Mercy for them. A Muslim should call upon Allaah at all times, yet especially during the best times, such as in prostration (sujood), The Prophet said: “Increase supplication in prostration for it is most likely that your supplication will be answered.” [Saheeh Muslim]

The Prophet said: “The servant is closest to Allaah when he is prostrating, so supplicate much therein.” [Saheeh Muslim & Saheeh Sunan Abee Daawood]

Other examples of the most superior times to supplicate are: in the last third of the night, the last hour on friday (before the maghrib prayer), and the last part of each prayer. One should beg Allaah and not be heedless from supplicating, especially in asking Allaah for protection from trials, once a person is protected, he will be safe from all evil. If a person is safe from trials, consequently, his religion is safe and thus his state at the point of death will also be safe.

Don’t allow for your thoughts to confine you, for they are often based on your own perspective. The actual reality of it all is much more vast and beautiful than we can often recognize.

progress takes time. consistency is key. commit every single day to your goals and over time you will see results. you may not see it right away, but you’ll look back in a couple of months and be able to tell just how far you’ve come. you’ll think to yourself “i’m so glad i just started and stayed with it.” stay motivated for your future self. it’s worth it.

You've done your part. You've prayed already. You've cried already. Now, watch Allah to do His part. Comfort your heart, and just trust Him.
