A little necessary self-affirmation. For me, and for anyone else who needs to see this. #positiveenergy #selftalk #mentalhealthmatters https://www.instagram.com/p/CDysgEWBYhI-FxVe-6JlXsTUEIbv1uhmK83dKo0/?igshid=a86zlvabycwn

Been getting a higher frequency of migraines lately. More anxiety + more insomnia = more migraines, and they're both triggers for me. Becomes a bit of a vicious cycle. Tried to make it through a work day but had to bail at halftime today. I came home to do a gentle yoga and meditation practice and got some help from one of my furry friends. She pretty much refused to get off of me. I think she believes that if she sits on me I'll feel better. I think she's right. #migrainelife #migrainesupport #therapycat https://www.instagram.com/p/B0RuGLLhOKb/?igshid=6ya9rnm7brja
A friend let me know that today is world kindness day. I didn't know about this, but I do know that we could all use more kindness in our lives, to ourselves and to people we interact with, so I wanted to pay it forward. It takes so little to choose kindness. https://inspirekindness.com/world-kindness-day #bekindtoothers #bekindtoyourself #worldkindnessday https://www.instagram.com/p/CWOsw0VLiWj/?utm_medium=tumblr
My kid is the coolest. She spent a lot of time this past weekend working on a 3D map of her fictional city (New Asguard). The dinosaur paddock was particularly inspired. #mykidrocks https://www.instagram.com/p/ByaSrv8BpuvDW2w8zZpHwtPeLNTEcMvvhV3wV00/?igshid=aezcbdsbgxt1
Lot of similarities between Molly and River. I endorse this. 😊

My point is that depression is not universal and while there is a general cluster of symptoms, it manifests differently in everyone. You can’t always spot depression on the street, in the grocery store, or at them gym. Depression doesn’t always jump out at you and let you know that there’s a person who is hurting deeply. Don’t contribute to stigmatization.
Be kind. Book of K.
