Am I the only one who sees 'togruta' and reads it as 'tortuga?'
I always have to do like a double-take or check my spelling because every time I come across the word 'togruta' my brain just immediately reads it as 'tortuga.'
Like, yeah no, makes total sense. Ashoka's a turtle. Yup, that checks out.
Even while writing this my brain's going 'tortuga.' I've had to backspace a few times because I kept spelling it 'tortuga' instead of 'togruta.'
Verbally too! When talking about togrutas if I don't accidentally say tortuga I'll take like way too fucking long to over-enunciate it to make sure I get it right so I don't look like an idiot.
I just know little Padawan Anakin would subconsciously speak in Obi-Wan’s accent when around him and Obi-Wan doesn’t talk about it, in fact he finds it endearing
It wasn’t until Mace was talking to Anakin and hear little Ani with Obi-Wan’s vocal cadence and slight Coruscanti accent and he is just “???” because Anakin has only been at the temple for a month? Why does he sound like baby Obi-Wan?
Even when Anakin is a full grown knight, he would slip in this habit when giving report to the council and they are just “yep yep that’s still Obi-Wan’s baby”
The first time we see Yoda, leader of the Council, in tcw, he’s explicitly affirming the individuality and importance of the clones. He then teaches them how to connect to the Force, the most sacred tenet of the religion he’s dedicated his life to.
The first time we see Plo Koon, a Jedi Master, in tcw, he clearly tells his clone troopers that they are not expendable to him, and then proceeds to do his absolute best to save as many clones as possible.
The first time we see Anakin in tcw he has his clones fly an unnecessary suicide mission because he wants the glory of killing Grievous. He doesn’t even stop when he hears them all dying—his Padawan, a 14-year-old, has to yell at him that no one else will survive what he’s doing before he changes his plan.
And people STILL say that Anakin is the Jedi who cared about the clones the most. Seriously?
It’s been a while since cared about a M/F ship but these guys are the best
rex disappearing into this ominous ahhh fog was so extra of him like where does he think he’s going 😭
In a peaceful, No O66 AU, Cody deserves to find a favorite bakery somewhere on Coruscant, somewhere he can order a whole box of buns and pastries to share with Obi-Wan in a Temple courtyard on some sunny day. Maybe they argue about raisins. Obi-Wan (old man-coded) is obviously very pro-raisin, but Cody finds them untrustworthy (buglike) and dislikes the way they disrupt an otherwise perfect texture (bread is perfect, to him).
If you would just try them you would like them, Obi-Wan would say, but Cody will not try them -- picks each raisin out of his pastry, in fact, and throws them to the birds. And Obi-Wan pretends he's not completely endeared by Cody's refusal to give up any crumb of bread that may be eatable. Maybe he Feels something, watching Cody's big capable hands carefully dissect a pastry, supremely fussy about what he wants and what he doesn't.
(It's just 🥺 so silly. And Obi-Wan has seen Cody's hands do so many unsilly things.)
i want to- *remembers suicide jokes only worsen my mental health* kill someone else
soooo.... I was supposed to post more about my ocs. instead I went and got a wolverine obsession, but I've only watched the movies (so far!!). so here's a little something based on wolverine origins and that one star wars song.
i love sibling relationships especially when it's something like this. like, the way logan and victor had only each other for over a century (1845 to 1970s-ish) and logan seemed to be the rational one/moral compass for the most part (thinking about the scene in the plane with wade and how he left because he didn't wanna be involved in the killing of innocent people). and the pain that must've caused him to leave the only constant he's had since he was like, 13 years old or something.
and then the very Sibling way that victor joined that final battle against wade/project XI because "only I'm allowed to kill you."
well look who it is. my old friend. the conses of my quences.
