Yoriichi watches the man -- large, ethereal-looking man -- tilts his head as his ruby eyes dart up and down in interest. The boy blinks, unsure what to make of this. It's one thing to be suddenly greeted with such a sight of a being, moreover that he sees the massive differences in the inside of the man.

Whereas the staff of his household manages a steady rhythmically heart beat, this larger being has his heart moves in a way Yoriichi has never seen before. Out of the world-like.

" Yosh! " The man starts, his voice surprisingly airy and light, but still full of life. " Nice to meet you! I am Nika! "

The boy stares for a bit. " I am...Yoriichi. "

" Yoriichi. " Nika leans in, his grin resembling the beams of sunlight. " Well, it's not everyday I get to meet the embodiment of nature. "

He speaks strange words, not that Yoriichi mind much. The man, or whatever he is, shifts on his spot, movements bouncy and uneven. Nika tilts his head up, narrowing his eyes for a moment as he surveys the sky above.

" What a nice weather! Wanna go play together? " He looks back at Yoriichi, holding out his hand.

Yoriichi glances at the position of the shadows cast over the ground from the familiar tree near the small room he lives in. Mitchikatsu should be training by now, his father is currently out for a meeting, and his mother is in her room sewing. The staff cares less about him.

Oh well. The less he's being seen near the main court, the better.

He takes Nika's hand, or finger. The size difference is rather comedical.

7.  Okay, this is probably really specific but I was hoping you or someone reading this could find some stories where Wei Wuxian learns something from someone not in the Jiang family, like he learns how to dye clothes or paint a certain way or blacksmith or build/make something or even learns to use a different weapon? While still being part of the Jiang Sect. Like a side hobby that maybe becomes useful later or impresses Lan Wangji? Just something where Wei Wuxian has teachers or friends outside of the main Jiang clan. (Sorry if this doesn’t make any sense 😅)

Do you happen to know of any good fics of WWX directly out of the three months in the burial mounds trying to adjust to basically acting human again? I’ve been looking for this one fic I read a while ago that’s about this where WWX steps out of the burial mounds for the first time and travels to yiling and stays at an there inn and basically tries to figure out how to act like a normal human being before he continues on his revenge quest. C!bedrockbros Adventure Time au where C!techno’s the ice king but make him the blood god and C!tommy is the vampire prince. Techno becomes the blood god with more time he puts on the crown but he keeps stopping himself because he wants to protect this vampire boy named Tommy.

The more time he spends with the crown, he turns more into a Piglin. He starts muttering about the voices and craving the need for blood. He doesn’t want to wear the crown but how can he protect them from the dangers of the world? He’s searching for ways to stop the change and ends up meeting this golden haired boy named Tommy, sobbing alone. Techno takes care of him, even finding him a little cow plushie in which Tommy lovingly names “Henry”

Cycling au with wangxian.

Wei Wuxian ! Pro cyclist turned bike courier turned pro cyclist again??? Or is it a fluke??

WQ convinces wwx to enter into a road race in Gusu, where lwj is also competing and has been the race leader for the past 3 years. Wwx shocks everyone by hiding in the pack and at the last minute, breaks away and beats lwj to the finish line of the mountain checkpoint by using short intervals of an odd sprint climbing technique lwj hasnt seen before. He ends up winning and earns the title King of the Mountains, unseating lwj from the title and royally pissing him off in the process.

The long sloping mountains of Gusu are Lwj’s home, and he has trained there every day for the past 10 years. Climbing is his specialty, he’s honed his technique, perfected it. He gets to the top faster than anyone else. Until now.

Lwj is looking forward to returning the favor at the next race, but wwx never shows. Months later, lwj happens to be in Yiling training for his next race and in a chance encounter, crosses paths again with wwx while he’s on delivery. Yiling has very steep, short hills all throughout the city, which is why lwj is there to take advantage of them. Now lwj can see where wwx learned his sprint-climb technique, if this is the terrain he bikes all day long.

Wwx is delighted to see the handsome cyclist he almost lost to, but doesnt have time to stand around and chat— he has deliveries to complete!! He lets lwj come along with him, if he can keep up of course ;) it’s gruelling lwj has to admit, but he does keep up and atthe end of the day, he challenges wwx to enter another road race.
