Apollo - Seer for the City Guard - Bisexual
Purpose
Ash wants to restore the things that society has taken away. He also knows that if he’s in the city with his ‘special gift’ that he will be protected versus being out in the real world.
History
Ash was always aware that he was different. It wasn’t anything his mother hid from him – after all there was no shame in loving his father. It was just tragic that it was Apollo and not some rich business man. If Ashton was truthful he would say that his mother was lying. He had after all left the both of them without a second glance, but Ash was happy for the most part. That was until he kept seeing things. Being the son of the God of prophecy wasn’t easy – especially when you got that power instead of his calmer ones. They were always blurry – filled with vague shapes and symbols.
But they always came true. That was the one constant in them and so Ash elected to ignore them. After all what is the point of seeing the future if you cant change it? And for the most part he didn’t want to – until he was eighteen and had a vision of his mother falling down the steps. Panicking Ash called out to his mother who was upstairs. As she rushed Ash realized a moment to late that it was what happened in his vision. June Richards died that day in a freak accident that her son had seen.
After that Ash tried to keep his visions to himself – tried to suppress the ‘gift’ he had received. That was until recently when the visions kept coming at a rapid pace. Instead of having them once or twice a month they were happening almost every day. He could no longer keep the visions to himself and instead opted to go to the Cure. After all if anything could help him it is being around other demigods. He signed up to be part of the city guard, but after finding out about his abilities they assigned him to be a seer for another officer. This however isn’t what Ash wants for the rest of his life, instead he’s hoping to learn how to suppress the seeing ability. After all If he can learn to suppress it maybe he can have a normal life.
Personality
Ash, much like his godly parent, is charming and boyish but also has a tendency to be abrasive and rude. Ash has also been known to take a joke to far and to be deemed shallow. Although this isn’t true Ash does have a hard time forming close relationships as he is frightened to see the same thing that happened to his mother happen again. That being said Ash has many contacts he’s friendly too and when he wants to be is the life of the party.

Do you think you will eventually allow non-demigods?? Maybe nymphs or other mythological creatures?
Yeah! I definitely want to, however, I’d like to get a healthy amount of demigods first as they are what make the city function. Nymphs are one of the mythological creatures I’ll be including when I do.

Wanted Connections - I’ve created a wanted connections page for accepted members to submit connections to, and for potential members to get character ideas.
Demigods Page - I’ve updated the demigods page with new information. This is mostly for potential members, since the information pertains to how your character might find out they’re a demigod.
Acceptance Dates - I’m changing the acceptance dates to Sunday and Thursday, as they better fit my schedule this semester. I’ll decide on a set acceptance time and post it on the sidebar after we’re open.

What are the special powers granted to the children of Isis?
I’ve just answered this question for Hera, Aphrodite, and Hel. Please refer to that ask as far as powers after training and “Can my character do X with Y training?”
Possible starting abilities for children of Isis include being able to prevent/induce conception, bring small plants and animals on the brink of death back to life, or being able to ease the pain of those in mourning. Some personality traits for children of Isis could include being protective and perceptive.

Hey guys! So I’ve been looking at what characters we have and a third of them are Special Cases. Since Special Cases are supposed to be rare, I’m going to put a temporary ban on them for now. To potential applicants - if you feel like there’s no way your character can work without being contacted by their god parent, please message me. More likely than not, we’ll be able to come up with an alternative that works just as well, if not better! Two possibilities are having the role you intended for the god parent filled by a mythological creature or another demigod.
The other thing I noticed was that about half the characters were Greek. I’m not going to put a ban on Greek characters, but I’d really love to see some demigods from other pantheons.

There are way too many options for a character, have you got any personalities, godly parents, 'powers' etc you would love to have more than anything else? I'm trying to narrow down my options. Haha.
Feel free to take all or parts of the suggestions below. I’ve bolded my favourite choice for each personality.
I’d love to see a determined, ambitious character who’s aiming for the stars, even if they won’t get there - and they’re okay with that. Their god parent hasn’t contacted them, but that isn’t going to stop them from finding out everything about their abilities. They don’t have any training when they come to Cure, which is why they want to find people with similar abilities as them and learn from them. They’re optimistic, charismatic, and work at one of the shops in town.

I’d also love to see a character who is extremely independent and stubborn. They’re not necessarily rude, but they refuse help whenever it’s offered. When they were younger they didn’t receive much assistance and they adopted the mentality that they didn’t need anyone else. They’re the kind of person who believes that it’s hard work, not luck, that leads to success. They seek to better themselves in every way possible (physically, financially, intellectually, etc.) so that they’ll never have to rely on anyone for anything.
