I think I would have the opposite reaction. This poor woman needs help! She needs to regain her enthusiasm for being brainwashed!

I’d untie her and turn on the brainwashing, whispering affirmations in her ear, helping rebuild her mind piece by piece. Building her desire to be programmed, to be controlled. Making her crave it, making her seek it out. Giving her back just enough of her mind to make her complicit in her programming.

Resistance is hot, tearing down those walls, breaking someone down into a needy desperate slut is exquisite joy.

Someone who is past that needs structure. Ownership. Or enough of her mind and will to feel that need for it.

Or maybe that’s just me. I don’t want an empty shell all of the time. Occasionally, definitely. But I want my subjects to have enthusiasm and opinions on what I’m doing to and for them.

I love jukeboxemcsa’s writing. Even when it doesn’t hit my kinks it’s still immensely creative and thought provoking.

The Power of Malicious Compliance

"Don't bother struggling," Shane growled, mildly peeved that his words didn't so much as trigger a single tiny wriggle from the woman he'd tied to the chair. "You'll be deeply hypnotized long before you manage to loosen any of the ropes, and once you're finished watching you won't want to escape me at all." He reached out to forcibly tilt his victim's chin toward the wall-mounted screen, and was disappointed to discover that she was already staring at it with an expectant look on her face. Mingled irritation and curiosity finally forced him to depart from the script in his head, and he snapped out, "Excuse me--are you not worried about any of this?"

The woman gave as much of a shrug as her bound arms would allow. "This is, like, the fourth time I've been kidnapped and hypnotized and programmed to be an obedient fucktoy. Honestly, I don't really have any resistance left by this point, so I just kind of figured, why not go with it, y'know?" She didn't sound bored by it all, exactly; her voice was filled with a resigned indolence that perfectly matched her indifferent stare. But it felt enough like boredom to sting Shane's frustrated pride. How could she fail to struggle knowing that her very identity would be reduced to malleable clay for him to shape and mold?

It was enough to make him sputter and stammer in his indignation as he retorted, "Yeah, well, they--they must not have been any good at it, then, because you were free enough for me to catch you." It sounded petulant coming from his lips, and Shane privately cursed himself for acting so pathetic in front of his chosen victim even though he knew he could simply erase the entire incident from her memory once he'd broken her will. But it just ruined the whole thing to see her acting this utterly indifferent to her own impending subjugation. Couldn't she at least pretend to be frightened? Couldn't she summon up even a little bit of defiance for him to melt away into helpless, horny obedience for him?

She could not. All Shane got was another shrug and a muttered reply of, "I guess they just got bored with me. After the first guy turned my brain to mush, it was really kind of hard to fight any of the new programming I got from the others, y'know? I just wound up going with the flow, sucking and fucking and taking it in every hole like a good girl, and when they'd had their fun they put a few triggers in me in case they ever needed me again and threw me back. It's fine. I don't mind. I'm pretty much okay with whatever I'm told." Her eyes already looked glassy and blank, even though the screen remained dark, but he could tell it wasn't trance capturing her will. It was patient, placid indifference.

Shane spent the next ten minutes undoing every last knot he'd so patiently tied, letting the woman free and shoving her roughly out the door without even bothering to blindfold and gag and chloroform her. "Don't worry, I won't tell anybody," she gabbled cheerfully as he marched her out of his house. "Like, I'm too weak-willed and helpless to summon up the willpower, plus I have a shift this afternoon I have to get to and work's been pretty chill about all my unexplained absences but there are limits, y'know?" Shane didn't know, and he didn't want to know, and he didn't want to hear from this particular nameless victim ever again. He slammed the door behind her, and it took him the better part of a month to clear the memory of her out of his head.
