Ricky stood beside you, hands tucked into the pockets of his jacket, watching you more than the rain. He wasn't hiding it at all, he was observant and definitely doesn't mind if you know about it. When he lets out a soft chuckle, you turn to him, frowning.

"What’s so funny?" you asked, slight frustration leaking into your voice. The sound of the rain hitting the ground is definitely messing with your head, making you a little agitated along with the ruined plans you had for the day. So to see him not being bothered at all is a bother.

"You," he said simply, lips curving into that effortless, teasing smile. "You’re pouting."

You let out a sigh, dropping your gaze to your damp shoes. There is no way you can even mask your disappointment. "I just… I wanted tonight to be perfect."

Ricky exhaled, and before you could react, he grabbed your hand and stepped into the rain.

"Are you crazy?" you laughed breathlessly, water dripping from your lashes.

"Maybe," he admitted, regarded you with an adoring gaze as he pulled you close. His hands rested lightly on your waist, his thumb brushing against the damp fabric of your shirt. "But you’re always thinking too much. So I figured I'd help you stop."

Your heart pounded, accelerating behind your ribs, not from the rain or the cold, but from the way his eyes softened, his gaze tracing the curve of your face, moving up to your eyes, as a silent confession. Like his gaze was enough to communicate his feelings for you.

"You were worried about making tonight special," he murmured as he invaded your personal space enough for your noses to almost touch, his voice intimate, low for you only to hear him. "But don’t you get it? It already is. Because you’re here with me."

The city blurred around you, car headlights turning into smudges of gold against the rain-washed streets. It's like he has numbed everything else for you so you can only focus on him.

Slowly, he leaned in slightly more, his forehead resting against yours, rainwater sliding down his cheek. His breath was warm, mingling with yours, his lips close enough to steal all the air from your lungs. "You’re shivering," he murmured, voice barely above a whisper. "Let’s get you somewhere warm before I get too distracted."

Your mood has certainly improved a lot. A smile tugged at your lips. "Too distracted by what?"

Johnny Suh had a way of lingering. Not in an overbearing way, not in the suffocating way your ex did, but in the kind of way that made life feel like a champagne bubble—effervescent, light, and just a little intoxicating. Johnny’s lips curled into something slow, lazy and dangerous. “Less like you’re afraid someone’s about to pull the rug from under you. More like you know the ground is yours to walk on.”

You wanted to deny it, his attentiveness and awareness were always somehow embarrassing for you, but come on, he wasn’t wrong. It's not like you can have this big of a change happen to your life and not change in some ways too.

You laughed, light and easy, sipping from your glass as you tried to prevent your embarrassment from showing and put the focus on him. “You sound proud of yourself.”

He leaned in, voice dropping to something just for you. “Shouldn’t I be? I’m the one who's responsible for this. It's worth it. I get to see you doing much better. As you deserve.”

The investor smiled, intrigued, and you found herself pulled into a conversation that you never thought she’d be a part of. Yes, you have rich friends now, but are you really going to work now? With a job that will definitely be handed to you with no trouble. Thanks to the very man who, with no doubt, has his eyes on you.

Later that night, as you stood by the balcony, overlooking the city, you turned to him. “Why do you do it?”

Johnny shrugged, a slow smirk playing at his lips. He knew exactly what you meant but he found fun in toying a bit with you. “Do what?”

“Push me into these things. Put me in rooms I never imagined myself in.” you didn't know if the words came out from you in a way that showed your dislike. Because you never returned his favours (not that you had any way of doing so) and you didn't know how to reciprocate because he barely opens up. You feared he would ask for sex, but he didn't. You can't even put a label on your relationship with him. You know it transcended friendship because of the very obvious romantic tension between you two. Even a fool would be able to tell that you two do feel for each other. Especially him. 

He studied you for a moment, then exhaled. He wanted to somehow make you see yourself from his vision, and the way you would always speak so lowly of yourself frustrated him. “Because I want you to see what I see.”

“And what’s that?”

His gaze traced your face, lingering on your lips just a second too long before returning to your eyes. “A woman who was never meant to be small.”

Your heart stumbled in your chest as you instantly shifted your gaze to the city instead. Suddenly you can feel how the little particles of air hit your skin and the heat that spreads on your face. It was as if a minute is much longer now. His fingers touched your chin as he tilted your face towards him. Johnny liked almost everything about you. Except that insecure look, and how you would immediately avoid his eyes as he tries to come out with his feelings in a way that isn't overwhelming. 

His deep eyes that reminded you of dark chocolate gazed into yours with a sentimental feel that you never knew was there. He never looked at you as he is looking now. All his attention is solely focused on you only at this moment. He breathes in. “I'll make you see, one day, that you're worth everything you have now and more. I'll make you even more happy.” 

You two gaze into each other's eyes. It was as if there was a silent communication going on between you. Your eyes held trust, comfort and a sense of calmness only he was able to bring in you. And his had a look of adoration, softness yet a hint of mild irritation. It was a weird mix but still translated his feelings for you and bared the deep love he wishes to show shamelessly. 

Out of nowhere, he utters. “Can I kiss you? Because I'm tired of not knowing what it feels like.”

You hesitated a little as you turned your face to look at the people inside. A sigh left your lips as you realized that you really shouldn't care for what others will see or think. It is indeed better to forget about the rest of the world and just kiss Johnny Suh. And hopefully the kiss will last long enough for you to lose yourself in it. That's what you hoped for. You nodded and muttered a small ‘please’. You didn't mean it but a small bit of desperation came with it. Who were you kidding? You wanted this too.

But maybe this move of mine was wrong because after I did that, he removed his hands off my face and wrapped them around my waist instead, moving my body closer to his and at the same time he bit my bottom lip. i forget my surroundings as it gets heated. For a moment i wish for time to just freeze, so i can enjoy the taste of his lips more.

After a few seconds, he stops and takes a breath. Allowing me to have a good look at his face, how doll-like it is. Making me wonder how a human can be so perfect. "Woah, y/n, I thought I'll be dissatisfied, but you only made me want more." His fingers reach and touch my chin. He drew me towards him to kiss me again, but this time he used his other hand to move my body closer. I was almost on top of him, he supported his body with his hand while the other kept me in place.

You kinda felt mad when she said that. Yes he's an asshole, but no one should call him that except me. You thought. You two ledt the bathroom and walked the hallway together.

There he was, standing with the group of trash men he's with everyday. You stare at the back of his head. His perfect long brown hair has passed his ears. You don't think you've seen him with long hair before. Damn, he must look good.

He always looks good. Even if he's wearing the most terrible outfit in the world.

He turns around and you find yourself staring at him, these long brown strands definitely made him become hotter.

To say you two run in different crowds is putting it mildly. And that's what you hate the most. You both are the complete opposites, you have literally nothing in common and that what has been holding you back from opening a conversation with him for a long time, you know you can talk to people with different interests well, but if you talk to him, you feel like you'll look like the biggest loser in the world.

It's not like you have a chance to talk to him anyways, most of the time, he's either with his homies, or with those girls who are always glued to him. And you don't think he would think of you as someone interesting. Because when he finds someone interesting, he talks to them instantly, but you've never even greeted each other. "His hair looks like a mop." She says as she laughs, you curse under my breath. A fake smile appears on your lips. "Yeah, you're right," you lie, cautiously gazing at him. "I can clean this hallway with his hair." I may be mocking his ass but the last thing I want is for him to actually hear me. You thought to yourself.

"I'm so bored." She mutters. "Me too, I'm going to get us coffee." You head to the cafeteria without giving her a chance to reply. Maybe drinking coffee will stop you from daydreaming about him. It became a routine to think about him for a good hour. Damn, i just have a crush on him and i'm like this, what will i do if he was my boyfriend?

The thought actually formed butterflies in your stomach.

You stand up and look at every listed drink. "Hello.." the cashier trailed with a smile as he saw you approaching the counter. "Hi, is the coffee machine working?" You ask, last time you came to get some coffee last week, there was another cashier who told you that it broke. So you decided to ask before ordering.

"Thank god, it wasn't working last time i came." You said. "Sorry about that." You muttered a small 'it's okay'.

"If it wasn't working now, i would've fixed it just for you." He smiled warmly and put his arms on the counted, giving off a friendly vibe. You blushed a little at his words and he giggled. "So cute."

"What would you like to order, cutie?" His smile faded slowly but you didn't notice. "I'll take one small coffee.. and-"

"Make it two."

A deep voice trailed from behind you, it was sunny so you can see a shadow hovering over your body. Turning around. It was none other than nakamoto yuta. His gaze snags on yours as he clears his throat.

"I've been searching for you, babe." His voice is husky and loud. Your heart thuds. Hard. Like it came to a complete and utter stop. How am I still alive? You thought. Swallowing the saliva that bulit up in your mouth. "Fine." You don't know how you managed not to stutter, even though you feel like your knees will betray you any moment.

Why would he call me babe? What game is he playing? You thought. Yeah, yuta is a player that's why you toned down how you feel at the moment, you won't let yourself get excited over it.

Those dark brown eyes of his never leaving you. You're the one who has to look away first. His gaze twists you up inside. So you decided to keep your attention on the cashier.

"Who were you going to buy coffee for?" He asks, he's not looking at you this time. The tone of his voice is much calmer. You don't even know why was aggressive the cashier earlier. You think of a reply as your lips form a straight line. "Why you're asking?" You decided not to tell him that it's for your best friend, you want to know what drove him to ask this question.

"Don't drink anything with him."

He says, straightforwardly and his gaze doesn't meet yours yet. Did he notice him flitting with you? A shiver moves down your spine due to his deep voice but you ignore it. "Why though?"

"Just don't. Don't trust any man here."

"Including you?"

"Except me."

You stop talking and stare at the coffee that is being made. Ignoring the fact that your heart beats loudly like it's going to brust out of your chest. You clear your throat. Why the fuck is time moving so slow? You thought. Even though you like him and acknowledge the effect he has on you. Yuta was now making you grow hotter the more you're standing with him. It became so hot, even though it's currently winter.

You catch a glance of him, he's glaring so hard at the poor boy, you don't want to jump to conclusions, but you couldn't help but think that he's jealous. You try to convince your mind that he's not but that voice in your head keeps hitting you with it.

Finally, he comes with your coffee. Yuta's attention falls on it. "Are you sure you don't want anything else?" The cashier asks warmly. In a second, yuta reaches for your shoulder and glues you to his side, putting his arm protectively on your shoulder without touching you much. His warm embrace warmed you and tge smell of his fresh cologne hit your nostrills. "If my girlfriend wanted something, she would've said." He practically throws the money on the counter.

My girlfriend? God.. he sounded so fucking sexy. your mind fixated on that word.

He drags you softly with him away, as if the cafeteria is a bad place he's protecting you from. You really want an explanation, but there's no time for that, that's what he thinks.

"I could've paid for mine though." You mumble quietly. He takes out his lolipop and takes a sip, ignoring what you said. Then he gives you his and you wonder why, in a moment, he grabs yours and takes a sip of it.

"Hmm, it's safe." He says before you can protest. He smiles at you brightly. Before putting the lolipop in his mouth again, with a smirk, he hands you your drink and steps to the back slowly. "Y/n! Don't forget to call me babe too." He waves at you before rushing back to his friends. You smile at how he called your name. Gosh, he's cute. You thought.

You stand there dumbfounded. Wondering what the hell he meant, as you held your coffee in your other hand, something fell to the ground. You kneel and take it, it's a tiny folded piece of paper. Opening it

"Call me, love 2553-****?" You read what's in it, you slowly proceed everything, resulting in a cute smile appearing on your face, you jump like a kid as you hug the paper to your chest. You stare at the paper for a little and take a sip of the coffee, specifically from the spot he drank from.

You felt guilty because of how you thought of him before, you thought he was the ultimate fuckboy due to the stories othere gossip abouy around which are probably fake. Lots of people are jealous of him so maybe they did portray him as an asshole because of that? He's a sweetheart and it's totally unexpected.

"There you are!" Your best friend walks to you with exhaustion. You brush your thoughts away upon seeing her, hoping she didn't see you with him.

"You're drinking- wait! Y/n!! Where's my coffee?!"
