I Really Enjoyed Illustrating Cetaceans. They Are Kind Of Easy To Do, They Don't Take Many Hours (like

I really enjoyed illustrating cetaceans. They are kind of easy to do, they don't take many hours (like just 2), and the results are stunning. In this case, I added the lights of the high contrast from the humidity of the skin of the animal and I think make the illustration look more realistic. On the other hand, these genera of dolphins are simply beautiful. I didn't know the existence of many of them and discovering them really surprise me.

Heaviside's Dolphin This dolphin can be found in the coastal waters of South Africa. As the other members of the genera are small size dolphins with the same colors as their relatives but with a specific pattern.

They are very energetic and can be seen closer to boats. They use echolocation (a way of hunting used primordially by bats) to hunt, which means they use sound to find their prey. Prey are mostly fishes and mollusks. They are not expert divers with dives commonly going down to 50 meters. However, some register dives were down to 147 meters. Dives length is no more than 2 minutes.

As for predators, the only known is the Orca. __________________________________________________ Credits: Heaviside's dolphin _________________________________________________ Store Instagram Thank you guys for your love and support. Sumatran Elephant Elephas Maximus Maximus Family: Elephantidae Genus: Elephas Conservation Status: Critically Endangered

Sumatran Elephant Elephas maximus maximus Family: Elephantidae Genus: Elephas Conservation Status: Critically Endangered

Working on this one was a real challenge. The lighting of the photo was difficult to figure out, and the shapes on the head were at an angle that I wasn't familiar with. Anyway, the outcome got me satisfied. I had no idea about this subspecies until I got to study elephants. Very interesting subspecies. Join the club to know more about this and more animals. Mountain Zebras

Mountain Zebras

The last species of zebras and the last as well of the equidae family. This ones are very distinctive because of the skin that hangs below their neck. They inhabit in very small spots of the south of Africa and are relatively safe regarding its conservation status.

At some point the Hartmann’s Mountain Zebra was believed to be a new species but genetic evidence disregard this thesis in 2005.

The next family is a very interesting one. With extravagant and varied shapes that are in many cases very impressive. A human companion since the beginning and probably as important as the horse in the evolution of the human kind.  _________ If you like this content it will help me a lot if you follow my Tumblr or if you share the content. Vietnamese Javan Rhino This One Was Very Fun To Do. I Had A Very Low-quality Photograph As A Reference

Vietnamese Javan Rhino This one was very fun to do. I had a very low-quality photograph as a reference and I had to invent all the textures and wrinkles and also the color. Very challenging but I'm happy with the result.

There was a very small population of fewer than 12 individuals living in Cat Tien National Park in Vietnam. The last Vietnamese Javan Rhino (a subspecies of the Javan Rhinoceros) was shooted by poachers in 2011 in Vietnam. This animal used to live around very poor populations of villagers that were very hard to convince not to kill them, knowing that its parts could be sold for good money. Let's don't forget that those who decimates the population was mostly European trophy hunters at the beginning of the 20th century.

Love This One! More From The Felidae Family. The Turn Now Is For The Biggest In America. Jaguar At First

Love this one! More from the Felidae family. The turn now is for the biggest in America. Jaguar At first glance, Jaguars and Leopards are not so easy to differentiate. They are like two brothers. One's appearance, the leopard, looks more graceful and stylized. While the Jaguar has a more bulky body and its legs are shorter. One is agile while the other one is made to wrestle. However, the biggest difference is that the leopard lives in Africa, Asia, and Oceania, while the Jaguar is found in America. So if you are in Kenya, be 100% sure you are seeing a leopard. _________________________________________ Photo Reference Credits: Gary Morris __________________________________________ Thank you guys for your support. Love in the way of likes reblogs and follows is very much appreciated. If is more than love, you can tip me too :). One animal or more every week. Would love to do more than one but the illustrating part takes a lot of time X(.

The Irrawaddy Dolphin. One Of The Aspects I Enjoy Most About This Project Is The Opportunity To Learn

The Irrawaddy Dolphin. One of the aspects I enjoy most about this project is the opportunity to learn as I work. Before getting involved with dolphins, I had no idea how many different species existed. Now, each time I work with them, I’m struck by the incredible diversity in their shapes and behaviors. This experience also highlights how much there is still to discover about them. Despite feeling a sense of familiarity with dolphins, the extent of the unknown is astonishing, and it amazes me how little we know about many of them. Introducing the Alpaca: a new release coming soon to my club. The animal with the best quality wool in the world where are the indigenous people from Peru who fairly enough have the monopoly of the business. In other words, no other big company has taken over. Peruvians protect, as other countries do, what belongs to them. Awesome! Check out more about this animal in my club. I've Been Creating All These Animal Illustrations For My Upcoming Book Centered Around The Fascinating

I've been creating all these animal illustrations for my upcoming book centered around the fascinating world of mammals. I've launched an exclusive club that offers three different membership tiers, each with awesome rewards.

Click here to see more. Thank you, guys! Love you all and have a nice week. More animals to come soon. Northern White Rhinoceros Only two of these animals remain. The last male, named Sudan, passed away in 2018 due to age-related complications. With Sudan's death, this species is functionally extinct and now relies on various assisted reproductive techniques facilitated by humans.

East African Hippopotamus

East African Hippopotamus

I appreciate this illustration because it was the second one I did in a hyperrealistic way a few years back. It was essential because it set the tone of the illustrations I wanted to make for this project. I am happy to revisit and work on the information sheet about this charismatic subspecies.

If you want to know about this subspecies and many more, you can join the club. Here

Today We Are Going To Start With A Family That Is Loved By Many. Is Not My Cup Of Tea But I Have Learned

Today we are going to start with a family that is loved by many. Is not my cup of tea but I have learned about them and they are indeed fascinating. The equines. Domestic Horse

The domestication of horses is believed to occurred around 4000 to 3500 BCE, possibly in what is today Kazakhstan. However, there is some debate among experts about the exact time and location of horse domestication, as evidence of early horse domestication is limited and sometimes difficult to interpret. It is generally agreed, however, that horses were first domesticated for their meat, milk, and hides, and that they were later used for transportation, agriculture, and warfare.

There are numerous breeds of domestic horses, which are classified into three categories: Hot Blood, Cold Blood, and Warm Blood. These majestic creatures have played a crucial role in human evolution. The horse was one of the first animals to be domesticated, and their partnership with humans has allowed us to travel greater distances, carry heavy loads, cultivate crops with greater efficiency, and conquer the world. In short, without the taming of horses, we would not have been able to achieve the level of progress and development that we have today. It is also a very recurrent animal in art as we have seen it in many paintings and sculptures throughout history. It is commonly connected with strength, power, speed, and freedom. It is clear that this animal awakened an ongoing fascination that has been represented on numerous occasions. _________________________________________ Photo Credits: www.freepik.es.
