I decided to make my own Flatland movie. Here's the description for it: When young, bisexual, depressed father and lawyer Alfred Square is chosen as one of the many middle-class soldiers to fight in the upcoming war between his homeland Flatland, and rival dimension Spaceland, he must first learn how to break the "anti-bond" between the two worlds with the help of an unexpected all-seeing peacemaker from the third dimension who shows him a whole new point of view.

Neat thing about your flatland swap au is that the fact the person being told of the third dimension is a circle and thus at the top of the hierarchy would itself change the dynamic a lot.

Yes, I think it would be very interesting to see it play out.

I mean, if you spent your whole life convinced that you were at the top of the hierarchy with no creature above you, only to meet a guy who is merely a bunch of squares glued together into a so called """cube""" but is still more powerful than you... would that be fucked up or what? Not to mention finding out that spheres exist. Like what do you mean they made Circles 2: Remastered HD 3D Edition and didn't tell me. I'd be mad too.
