🏳️‍🌈 day 9 ~ creature of habit

Dean always says that his life could fit inside the pockets of his jacket.

They were never really allowed to have things when they were little – toys and stuffed animals and clothes are only good for slowing you down and getting you killed. 'Cut every non-essential', rule number one of the life on the road. No exceptions for anyone, not even kids.

But that was a rule he could never follow, not all the way. He kept things – small things, insignificant things. He doesn't really remember when or how it started, maybe it was an act of rebellion, or just a way to remind himself that he was alive after all, that the world was bearing a mark of his passage. All the times he felt as disappearing, he had something to hold on to.

He's a creature of habit, in the end. Even now that he has a loving family, a job, a roof over his head; even now that he feels like he is really making a difference, he still keeps those old scraps. And he never stopped collecting new ones.

it's insane that dean put both, the king of hell and angel of the lord, in the silly cowboy hats

every once in a while when i'm working on a fic, i get sucked down a research rabbit hole and emerge hours later without having made much progress. in an attempt to save others from this fate, i've begun putting together a spreadsheet of stranger things canon notes/references.

it includes everything from a list of every character mentioned on the show to locations in hawkins, a timeline of events, brands each character uses/eats, and other facts such as movies mentioned, birthdays, and more. no more wondering what eddie smokes! (he smokes camels, for the record.)

i figured i'd share just in case! go forth and prosper or whatever it is we're doing today. i'll continue updating as new information comes to light/i get the energy.

One of the reasons why I love Steddie is how sweet Eddie was with Steve in the forest scene. That’s what got me into this ship. It was nice to see someone being patient and kind to Steve like that and it coming from someone like Eddie who viewed Steve so differently means a lot.

I loved how he told him how much Dustin looks up to him, making Steve smile and even after that wanting to joke around a little to make Steve laugh as well.

It was such a nice change, because all the other scenes we just see him bickering with someone or people making him seem stupid when he asks questions. Eddie didn’t make fun of him for not knowing Ozzy like he probably would have prior to things and instead let it be and called Steve cool. I love them.
