Warriors Fanfic: SkunkStripe’s Purpose

A young black and white she-cat, no more than 10 moons stalked the fields of Wind Clan searching for prey; she looked easily mistakable for a skunk with white paws and green eyes.

 The young cat spotted a juicy looking rabbit.

 She stalked it; she traveled downwind of it and walked in a way as her foot steps could be mistaken for the wind. The rabbit flicked it’s ear. The cat froze. She got into position to pounce. The rabbit turned it’s head.

 The she-cat ran toward the rabbit and the rabbit started to run away! The young cat caught up with it and bit down in  the rabbit’s neck as it squealed it’s final breath.

So rn the US government is starting to defund the National Parks Service, and while this is a bad thing largely because it's mainly being done to open up the possibility of oil drilling in a lot of those areas, I think it also needs to be said that no the National Parks Service was not just there to "protect natural wonders" or whatever. It was there because a lot of those places are incredibly important land to a lot of Indigenous Peoples and if you give it special status that means you can't live on it you can make the natives leave easier because they get arrested if they don't. Like I am very much not in favor of this change as it is being done but I don't think we should respond to it with wholehearted praise of the National Parks System either. Please know the history of the land you live on and visit.

My mom practices voodoo and my aunt is in surgery. She had up an alter to appease some death goddess so my aunt would live. The day after she threw away the sacrificial peanuts my aunt took a turn for the worse and her health started declining even though nothing bad had happened so far. So we reset the alter and hopefully nothing bad happens
