Get a gaboon viper. Obviously I would have to handle it more than 30 minutes a month(water refill, feeding, bath time, cleanup) but I would feel a lot safer owning a venomous pet snake if I could have that little bit of a safety net.

Hm, unlikely. While Bill is theoretically reproductively capable, we have no idea if the red crown is or isn't. Also if it is, Bill and the red crown are likely different species. I will however draw my best approximation of what a child between the two would look like.
