Next character reference sheet for "Returning to our Roots"
Kaine Augmo, "son" of Adam Augmo.
The main antagonist for the story.
His father had him made from scratch. He is one of the only Anthro's who was never human. He was raised to be his father's body gaurd, and eventually, his brother's.
He is a weapon underestimated by his father, who didn't think Kaine could handle running Augmo Inc. Kaine would prove his father wrong.
There was only one other merc who could match Kaine in hand to hand combat. Unfortunately, she nolonger stalks the streets of New Bright City.
(This story is interchangeable, but I'm using the female Primarchs from the Femmarch au)
*The Scene: The Emperor has called his daughters to an impromptu private council. None of the sisters know why, but it's pretty clear how serious this is*
Emps: Listen, im going to make this clear and concise. *he narrows his eyes and scans over his daughters* I know.
Horus: Know what, father?
Emps: Don't Bullshit me! I KNOW...
*All the sisters begin looking around awkwardly at each other or shamefully away from each other*
Emps: It was brought to my attention, and while truthfully, I couldn't care less what escapades each of you get up to in your own time. If these activities were to come to light, it would set the wrong example for our Imperium. So, if all of your "relations" are to continue, ensure they are kept quiet.
Fulgrim: *evil smile* That means you two. *she points to Guilliman and Angron*
Angron :What do you mean, us!?!
*Angron raging and nearly leaps across the table at her sadistic sister. Guilliman holds her back*
Fulgrim:*laughs* Oh, come on! Last night, I swear all of Terra could hear you two from orbit.
* Both Guilliman and Angron sit back, blushing ashamed*
Khan: You're one to speak Phoenician. You and Ferrus are practically inside one another any chance you get.
Fulgrim: Ahh, just like you and dear Magnus when you lock yourselves in the library for "Special Research"
Sanguinius: Alright, I think we've all had our fun. Now--
Fulgrim: I don't wanna hear any lectures from you! We all know who actually holds Horus' leash.
*Sanguinius sits back down flustered. Horus leans over, trying to comfort her*
Emps: Alright, Enough! As I said, I was made aware of all your escapades. This means I DO NOT want to HEAR NOR SEE anything outside of your private chambers. Do I make myself clear?
*All the primarchs nod in acknowledgement, except Mortarion*
Mortarion: *confused* Wait. You're all fucking?
---*End scene*---
(This is basically my scripting process when I make comics)
It gives such strong Pandemonium (The "capital/Main court" of hell acording to old Christian lore) vibes!!!
Which makes total sense as it was probably what they were referencing. I've always liked WH30k/40k twisted parallels to Catholicism/Christianity, and this is a great subtle nod to it.
Astartes II
Oh yeah, here is my headcannon for Emps backstory. I always liked the thought that the Emperor, despite his secrets, was telling the truth. He was just a man. Born with emnse power at the wrong time. A babe in the wastes of Terra.
Basically, this is Alexander, a Techno-Barbarian Warlord fighting to persevere a semblance of the old world before the age of strife.
One day, while out scavenging, he finds a child untouched by the hostile and lethal radioctive environment of Terra. The child almost shines in the light of the late sun. Alexander, seeing the importance of this child, decides to raise him himself along with his closest friend/advisor.
He names the child "Arthur"
Arthur seems to be growing quickly and every day his emnse power shows. Healing the crops of their blight, burning out infection, but most importantly inspiring hope that their might be a better future.
Alexander worries, though. Arthur is growing up so fast, maturing at an unprecedented rate. On one hand, he wishes his adopted son might remain young for a time longer, so he might retain his innocence, if only briefly. But this might be for the best. The radiation of the makeshift cold fusion nuclear core in Alexander's armour is killing him.
Even with Malcador's help (though limited by the warp storms), he doesn't have long. Arthur still doest fully have a grip of his powers. (Too scared he'll hurt someone, he subconsciously gives himself limiters.) He wishes to heal his father but can't seem to do any more than Malcador can.
Alexander, knowing his time is near forges for his son, a might sword emblazoned with the iconography of his pet eagle whom Arthur was always close to.
Then the day came, when out helping a remote village Alexander and an almost adult Arthur are ambushed. The two fight hard, but eventually, Alexander is laid low. Arthur holds his father. Alexander looks to the unblemished face of his son and whispers his final words. The words that would guide Arthur down the long road yet to come.
"Remeber, my son. Humanity above all else is the way. Until all are one, none shall be whole."
Arthur cried then, he shook with guilt and rage. If only he could have been stronger, if only he wasn't so weak willed. If only these beasts would see reason.
The Warlord who had killed Alexander was still there, as we're a few of his men. They planned to kill this would be heir. But as the one approached a sobbing Arthur, preparing to execute him. The barbarian screamed in pain, and he became engulfed by golden flames
As the body chared to ash, Arthur was seen standing. The sword his father had gifted him now set ablaze in those same golden flames. His eyes two stars set in a frozen face of rage.
The other barbarians barely moved before they were each bisected. The Warlord fought as best he could, but his bullets melted before they even reached Arthur. Arthur strode forward, a terminator with one goal, "Vengeance"
The sword moved through the Warlord with barely any resistance. And as he gasped for breath as he struggled to breathe, he begged for mercy. He forswore his alicante and his army's. Arthur would not hear him.
Upon that final breath, Arthur made a vow. He would carry his father's dream. He would bring humanity back together, whether they wanted it or not. A grand Imperium.
"All will be one. I swear this to you, Father." And so The Emperor returned home. A long road lay before him.
Lily(Nickname for Morticia's SO) spent days making this outfit for Morticia. And tailoring clothes from scratch for her girlfriend, who is a 12 foot tall demigod, isn't the easiest thing in the galaxy.
The least Morticia could do is indulge in a few photos
Wrote something so hot I had to jork it out hold on give me some time to finish it
In the modern AU, anytime MalcEmps do anything lovey-dovey infront of the primarchs most of them collectively groan, except for sanguinius who "Awwws".
Then Malc hits them all with the classic "What? Well, how do you all think you were made?"
Lowkey, surprised by how tender and loving MalcEmps are with each other compared to what I've seen them portrayed by the fandom (art and memes, fics were a different story)
The fandom, when I was just getting started half a year ago, gaslit me into believing the two were a dysfunctional relationship at best and were more like to co-workers that fucked each other sometimes.
Cue me reading books/short stories where the two interacted and now I can easily imagine them cuddling on the couch, while discussing the fate of humanity. I can easily imagine them making exceptions for each other, knowing things about each other no one else does (which is canon). I can imagine them doing simple domestic things in times of peace or maybe in something akin to a Modern AU. I can imagine them being lovey dovey and genuinely devoted to each other.
The two versions could coexist. And I'm not saying there isn't a certain comedic charm to the fandom version of their relationship nor that it shouldn't exist (because that would make me a hypocrite, I do enjoy that version to a certain degree and controlling how people engage with fiction is. Bad. Ew. No). I'm just laughing about the whiplash I got when I was introduced to the ship through the memes on Tumblr just to get to them in the actual books and find out that the two are genuinely peak queer romance to me.
Huh, I kinda get you, I always did kinda get an... "odd vibe" from most other slaanesh fans. There are very few I've found that don't give that vibe. And maybe it's cause all of those I've found alright women and/or not cis het men.
Not always, a tasteful cis het ally is not super uncommon. There are always exceptions to the rule.
I also bear a strange mark as I love both Nurgle and Slaanesh equally, I don't really value one over the other.
Khorne may be the God of war and violence and blood and guts and whatever, however, if I had to rank all of the Chaos fans (like actual irl fans) based on my personal experience, it is Slaanesh fans that are the most intimidating and scary mfs on the block.
You guys aren't toxic or abusive or anything like that, but there's just something about you guys that makes me tense up and assume the worst (that I would somehow upset you and make you hate me) that just... scares me off. Maybe it's the air of superiority, lol. But Khorne, Tzeentch and Nurgle fans? Nah, never got that impression and always down to yap with them. Especially other Nurgle fans.
Please don't stop!!!! πππππ
Still trying to figure out how to draw angry giant wife
And here we have my Plauge Marine Greater possessed/Demon Prince oc. I dot really have a ton of personal lore on her yet, but she does lead my custom Death Gaurd Warband "The Masque of the Crimson Rot"
Their colour scheme is red with gold trim and pail pink flesh, and their energy is green.
