As much as I am LOVING all the love and support the new black magical girl pilot is getting, can we not use it to put down other magical girl shows?? Yeah more darker skinned/black rep in anime is important, but that doesn’t mean that any other magical girl shows with pale skinned characters are inherently bad???

And don’t call the characters in these other magical girl shows white when they literally take place in Japan.

I think it's horrific how long we wait to tell kids about their country's bad history. Like you spend your whole life thinking you live in the best country in the whole wide world until high school when they tell you the government actually eradicated an entire culture a couple hundred years ago. Like isn't that insane? No wonder there's so many people who think it didn't happen.

as i said i’m certain the letter is fake, but what’s really concerning me is the possibility of more faked letters that everyone believes, or people who luigi has genuinely took the time to respond to posting those letters online for everyone to see. you do not give a fuck about him if you think it’s okay to post his private letters on the internet. why would you not want to keep the letter between you and him? it’s great that millions of people talk about luigi, but this is the issue with ‘lowkey-fans’ of him or ppl who just want to join in on the ‘trend’ of writing him to see if they get a response. those of us who genuinely care would never think of posting his response online, but because he’s being treated as this trend/spectacle, people know they’re going to get so much attention if they share theirs; they want the media to post the letter because they want their 15 minutes of fame, sparing no thought for luigi whose every move is already being heavily scrutinized. he does not need his private letters being posted on top of that.

one thing that makes me feel better is i do feel like he’s never going to share anything that will go any deeper than simply thanking supporters and wishing them well like he’s been doing so far, because he and karen will know the likelihood of people posting his responses online. it’s sad that he can’t engage in lengthy conversation because of this, but at least it means that if people do post his letters there will most likely be nothing the media can properly manipulate.

the thing that honestly worries me more is people posting fake letters like that girl has done. it’s so easy to do, and this morning i scrolled for ages in her comments and every single person apart from me blindly believed it was real. it just scares me thinking about what else people might pretend he has said - we know for example the daily mail don’t care about factchecking, so like they did today they’ll jump on whatever he has ‘supposedly’ said /: the most dangerous thing is if both the media and the general public are spreading the same agenda, the public who support him might be doing it accidentally just because they’ve naively believed a fake letter someone has posted, but that’s all the media need to worsen their attack on him

SHUT UP YES IT DOES BRO cosmo- THIS GUYS SO OBVIOUSLY LOVES STARS AND SPACE. fake fans don't know that cosmos hobby is stargazing1!!!!!/lh HE LITERALLY HAS STAR FRECKLES. HIS NAME. COSMO?? LIKE COSMIC??? LIKE SPACE???? astro- in sprout's dialogue, even though Astro wasn't trying to steal sweets its IMPLIED (omg yes!! you have to use your critical thinking skills for once.) that he would and probably has tried to snag a few extra snacks- though of course this depends on your perspective, and this is mine. SO yes we already have the indication that they like each other in a more basic sense. Astro likes sweets, Cosmo likes space. But then you also can have more dynamics! Ex. Sun and Moon but they aren't total opposites. Both introverts, so they have that similarity but Cosmo is more nervous(he still tries to be social and I see it as him caring for the toons) and self sacrificial (he literally uses his own FLESH to heal the toons.) Astro is obviously introverted but a common misconception about him that I HATE HATE HATEEEEE is that he's "shy" and "soft HE'S NOT SHY, NOT SOFT, AND HE'S NOT SOME UWU FEMBOY. HE'S LITERALLY JUST ANTI-SOCIAL. Yes, he's ANTI-SOCIAL. Not shy. He doesn't seem to be nervous on the machines like Cosmo is, he doesn't really care at all. Astro would be like a grounding force to Cosmo when he gets too stressed and overthinking, he wouldn't understand Cosmo's sacrificial nature and him doing so much for the other toons (not to say Astro wouldn't also lend a helping hand. Cosmo, the little ball of sunshine he is, would try to get Astro come out of his shell. Of course, the moon being the stand-offish guy he is, probably wouldn't be very open to talking at first (their dialogue.) UNTILLLLL he realizes that they have their love for astronomy in common! Astro shows a preference for people that are similar to him or have something in common with him (ie. Razzle & Dazzle, Brightney, Dandy and the mains.) And Cosmo's caring, social, vibrant personality wouldn't be a problem for him, his best friend is Dandy. Speaking of best friends... I can imagine a conversation between them, talking about their friends and how overshadowed they feel. Cosmo Is definitely a lot more uh... overshadowed- again, for lack of another word.- than him but I still feel like for Astro it might be a little uncomfortable to constantly be associated with Dandy like he's just "Dandy's best friend." Doing everything together with the star of the show might show problems. Of course I have a LOT more hcs for these two but Im gonna stop here at the more 'cannon' ones.
