I don't know why I can't focus on my goal. Why can't i become like others?
“Suffering arises from craving; the only way to be fully liberated from suffering is to be fully liberated from craving; and the only way to be liberated from craving is to train the mind to experience reality as it is.”
— Yuval Noah Harari, Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind
The term "review" tends to be synonymous with "past-hunting" in many people’s minds. They see reviewing as a cult that redirects mind into overthinking the past mistakes. However, reviewing is not supposed to do overthinking always. On the contrary, review is a powerful tool to keep an important memory in brain. If you want to track your goal, you must make a daily, weekly, monthly and even a yearly review routine. For the truth, there are many very good reasons of travelling through past in the name of reviewing. Perhaps the best reasons are to learn from the mistakes, to take a refreshing break and to keep yourself organised for your goal. But it does not mean regretting for your past. Rather an effective review can make your path more clearer and you can make your present more lively!
The most important thing is- it takes time to change the mindset, to change the society. But it is not impossible if we want. In this modern era, we don't need to memorize information rather we have to synthesize them. We can get all information in google with two clicks on our phone, tablets and pc. So, why will we follow the past ways, why will we waste our time in those works which we can easily do with technologies. The previous era, when Industrial revolution took place, the world needed hundreds of skilled workers. This trend still continues in our country. Most of the students are working with STEM majors. But now It's not the time to memorise the information and work with that. Now It's time to create something new, to make new information. Now it's not the time to fill up our head with facts, textbooks and teacher's lectures. Rather we have to learn how to operate with new facts, how to react in unfamiliar situations. This needs to think more about the things. To join the present revolution of the world, we have to sharpen our neurons to accept the unexpected things. Just like,
You will not ask only "WHY", rather ask also "WHY NOT?"
That regret of becoming more real after spending hours on screen when I look at the sky and think how small I am.
That hope when a news of new scholarship pops up.
That anger after listening lots of shouts from another room over a trivial topic.
That love after seeing a worst drawing of my sister who tries to draw myself.
That rage after having the news of the worst incidents of the world.
That disappointment after reading the posts of amazing accomplishments of same aged teens.
That urge of getting new reactions over what texts I sent.
That arrogance after winning the last trivial argument.
That discouragement after doing the worst careless mistakes.
That imagined impression of failure after getting rejected from all universities.
That motivation after planning whole day ahead.
That quest of thirst after thinking a new WHY.
That's what my life is. No, I am not that person who will tell you an amazing story of my success. I am a simple person having many mundane stuffs in my everyday life. And I am happy; I am lost in these insignificant and humdrum emotions.
Things are simple when you are an ordinary in this extraordinary world.
