Friendly reminder to listen VERY VERY CRITICALLY if someone tries to convince you not to register for federal disaster assistance following a declared disaster. Helene is still moving north and I see the usual rants picking up steam already.
That person trying to win social commentary points online is not your friend. That person can’t give you funds for house repair or to restock on food and meds. And if they say they can - that is a scammer and not someone you can trust.
Scammers and developers trying to take advantage after a disaster intentionally spread rumors/misinformation to convince survivors not to apply for federal disaster assistance. Many well meaning people pick this misinformation up and spread it further without understanding how the assistance process works. It’s happened more and more over the years and it will happen with Helene.
If you do not apply for assistance, you lose the chance to receive federal funds. APPLY APPLY APPLY. This doesn’t guarantee you will meet eligibility requirements, but you definitely can’t meet them if you don’t apply. The application process isn’t perfect but it continues to be updated - and was updated in 2024!! - to try and make it easier for survivors. If you have damages or lost power for an extended time, APPLY.
You can check on FEMA.gov or with local news to see when disaster recovery centers will open, how long the application period will last, and what information you’ll need when applying.
“But I knew no one. I was alone. No one cared. You might as well have left me to die.”
“You didn’t, did you?”
“Die? No, I didn’t. No thanks to you. Now I know I can only depend on myself.”
“Exactly.” Natasha shrugged. “You’re welcome.”

(Sometimes you just gotta cosplay obscure marvel characters that only @42wallaby-way-sydney and @yelenarooskaya know about. Also, will I ever be able to cosplay a character without doing something angsty? Apparently the answer is no)
According to the Book Disney Descendants: Up Close! Mal was born in 1999.
She was 6 years old when she wasn’t invited to Evie’s 6th Birthday Party, which took place 10 years after all the villains were banished to the Island. Which places it in 2005. (Isle of The Lost Novel)
That means that That Auradon was created in 1995.
It also means that Rise of Red takes place in 2025.
i'm trying to contact the person who hosted the previous ones to see if they have any plans or if i could host my own, but they havent been active for 9 months :(
So true!
when u like a character for their potential to be interesting and complex more than how they’re actually written
rip 2012-2014 tumblr, you would have LOVED thunderbolts*
So true. And a lot of them use translating devices, which do not directly translate what they are saying, and therefore they do not properly communicate to their partners.
love/hate watching 90 day fiance "the other way" because you get to see americans fully living in foreign countries for 1+ year or dating their partner for up to 5 and they still cannot manage the most bare bones conversation in their partner's native language and are sitting there like sentient rocks during important family conversations going "what did he say? what did she say?" like you don't think this maybe has something to do with why your relationship is crumbling. lol. lmao.
Mal from Descendants and Elsa from Frozen would get along, because they’re both poorly-written over-powered white(-passing) leading ladies who get the plot handed to them and treat their “family” terribly.
This is a quick post since this subject caught me by surprise and I don't know how to react now, but I need to talk about it since it is extremely important. The person responsible for creating Disa from "Frozen Podcast: Forces of Nature" went to ElsaMaren's reddit in a post about the podcast and decided to talk openly about a lot of things about the production, the insinuation of romance between Elsa and Disa, the origin of the flood in Sankerhus, an idea of a probable sequel and one of the most important parts: about the way the Northuldras were treated in the podcast and the plans for the insinuation of a love triangle between Elsa with Disa and Honeymaren.
@greatqueenanna If you like analyzing things, this is a good topic.
Good morning, afternoon, or evening to anyone reading my post! Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read my blog.
This evening, I made dinner for my family, and tried a new recipe: Breakup Taco Pasta(TLC)!
First, what is Breakup Taco Pasta(TLC)? First and foremost, it is "a tasty meal" that had "the opposite effect of 'Marry Me Chicken'", according to TLC. It is not Big Ed's original creation, but it is a popular weeknight dinner, as it is easy to make, tasty, filling, and relatively inexpensive. Many chefs, food bloggers, and home cooks have created and written recipes for their versions of it, as has Big Ed.
Next, why did TLC call it "Breakup Taco Pasta"(TLC)? According to Food Network, "In episode six[of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?] (“The Itsy Bitsy Liar”), Ed reveals that at a dinner with his family, Liz and her daughter Ryleigh, Liz “blew up” because Ed had made Ryleigh’s taco pasta “too spicy.” Days after the fight, Ed tells his sister that he has decided to cancel the wedding, but has not yet told Liz, days before their would-be ceremony. Liz learns of this news from a text message from their officiant, saying “how sorry he was that the wedding was called off.”(Wong).
Third, why was it so spicy? To start off, the formula for Taco Pasta: Big Ed's Version is 1.5 pounds of ground beef, seasoned with taco seasoning, 1 onion, 1 bell pepper of any color, 3 Roma tomatoes, 1 clove of minced garlic, a pinch of salt, a dash of pepper, 1 packet of spicy ranch seasoning, 2 cartons of beef broth, an unspecified amount of cheese, and an unspecified amount of any pasta(though there are rumors that Big Ed used Top Ramen noodles). (TLC)
Lastly, how do you make it? According to TLC, you first heat up a large skillet, then add the beef, vegetables, and seasonings, and cook until browned. Once you have browned the beef and vegetables, add the beef broth, pasta, and cheese, and let everything simmer, stirring regularly, until the pasta is fully cooked. Once everything is fully cooked, serve.(TLC)
Would you try Taco Pasta: Big Ed's Version? Please let me know in your reply or reblog of my post.
Thank you for taking the time out of your day or night to read my post, and have a good day or night.
I did not state that you said that Kim Jong Un was a saint.
I really think people have forgotten just how bad things were under the Trump Administration. Literally every day there was news about some service being cut or someone terrible appointed somewhere they shouldn't be or what have you. He constantly flirted with WW3 and military dictatorship. It was such a blur of badness that there aren't big standouts for people to point to to make him "the XYZ president." it was everything. all the time. Why do we not remember this.
