Sae-byeok and Ji-yeong go on a date to the coast, hang out at an arcade, and come across some familiar faces, all in different kinds of love; romantic, platonic, the families weāre given, and the families we create for ourselves.

I love that Iāve found my way into the world of SG fanfic writing because these characters are any writerās dream to work with. Theyāre all so complex and have robust backstories and plenty of trauma to dig our hands into.
Seriously, Iāve never had a cast of characters I adore so much.
Gihun? Adore.
Sangwoo? Adore.
Saebyeok? Adore.
Inho? Adore.
Junho? Adore.
Noeul? Adore.
Even the side characters are delightful. The Salesman/the Recruiter, Hyunju, Thanos, Namgyu, Minyeo, Jungbae, Wooseokātheyāre all parts of the rich tapestry that is this ensemble and I couldnāt love them more ngl
has anyone written this bc I would absolutely write this
Little AU where it's Sae-byeok that runs into Gi-hun in Seoul in S1E2, instead of Il-nam, and Gi-hun gets to apologize for hassling her about the money and she shares her Ramen with him. He asks her if she's old enough to drink and she scoffs and pours herself some soju. They play the bottle cap game.
They talk about the games.
Sae-byeok says she's going back. She reluctantly sums up her situation, without any real details, and Gi-hun returns the show of trust by telling his story too.
They make their agreement early. If one gets through it and the other doesn't, they'll help each otherās family.
She's even more of a daughter figure to him in the games and her death is that much more devastating.
re: last reblog
I have a theory that the final game will have gi-hun and in-ho face off in the squid game (because who else is there for him to have a showdown with? there are no major adversarial players left, at least not for him) and considering LJJās comments about the game against sang-woo, it seems plausible
they might even both wear their green uniforms - I canāt see them doing another banquet scene unless somehow in-ho convinces gi-hun to sit down for dinner after, you know, murdering his best friend in front of him a couple of days prior
001 vs 456. opposing ideologies fighting it out. gi-hunās victory would end the games, but he has to become the killer heās always resisted being. he wonāt be the new front man (I hate that theory), but he will have lost the part of his humanity that in-ho simultaneously loathes and envies
anyway. weāll see
Send me a ship and Iāll answer three questions based on if I ship it or not.
What made you ship it?
What are your favorite things about the ship?
Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?
Why donāt you ship it?
What would have made you like it?
Despite not shipping it, do you have anything positive to say about it?
Just rewatched season 2 because I missed my shayla and I noticed something about when Gihun wakes up in the games.
Seonnyeo is the first player to talk to him when he wakes up and yeah she goes on a whole crazy ominous tirade about his destiny, but then she mentions that there are spirits around him.
And that theyre VENGEFUL spirits.
We all agree she was talking about the players that were there when he played, right? Okay, but hear me out.
I think the spirits she specifically senses are Saebyeok and/or Sangwoo. Their presences in the spirit realm are probably the STRONGEST in regards to her and her clairvoyance, not because theyre the only spirits who may be trapped there, (theyre most certainly not ffs 455 ppl died theres gotta be more), but because in regards to Gihun, theyre the strongest ones she can sense.
I like to think of it as she can see them clearly standing beside him while he cant, like obviously shes never met these people so she wouldnt know their names, but through her eyes she sees two people following and standing beside Gihun, watching over him and guiding him to do the right thing. To finally put an end to this hell hole that they found each other in.
Gihun obviously cant see it cause heās not a shaman or even involved in the spirit realm like Seonnyeo is, but i even think the look he gave her when she said that hid a glimmer of hope that his friends were watching over him in the spirit realm, just like she mentioned.

iāve seen the behind the scenes of the tug of war game where the actors, ljj included, couldnāt even get one word out between takes because they were too exhausted to speak. but ljj thought the last game (squid game) was even more difficult. wonder if it was because the emotional aspects (fighting sang-woo) of the game? and if itās true, wonder what kind of emotional scenes we will see in the very last game? ć ć
