So you are telling me that some author wrote a male character that is supposed to be The bully™ but also decided to make him witty in like "fast reflect to answer insults with worse funny insults" type, gave him remarkable good grades, make him caring for his image and hygiene, made clear that he loves his mum and his royalty is with his family no matter what (even when they're all in the bad side), show him uses sarcasm and irony since he's young and he's doing it well, make him love attention and wanting people to like him, put him in a position where he can fit the "LGBT+ character that has loving parents but if they knew they would be abusive" trope, even put a scene where he can decide if the hero gets caught or not and him deciding that THE HERO IT'S NOT GETTING CAUGHT EVEN WHEN IT COULD BENEFIT HIS FAMILY

AND DECIDED TO NOT GIVE HIM A REDEMPTION ARC, NOT USE IT FOR AN "ENEMIES TO LOVERS TROPE", NOT USE IT AS A FORM TO SAY THAT DISCRIMINATOR AND OPPRESSOR BEHAVIOR IS A LEARNED BEHAVIOR AND THAT PEOPLE CAN GROW OUT OF THAT AND THEN NAMING HIM DRACO MALFOY?

I'm sorry but you had a character with potential right there, you had the chance to make a big plot twist, had the chance to have your readers wondering 'what is going to do this character? Is he trustworthy? Nice? Multifaceted with good character development?' you even can had him doing it worse, becoming darker and despicable and you didn't do anything.

You can't be mad if people like him, write fanfics about him, ship him with differents characters because all that fans are doing all the things that you had the chance to do it and you didn't. They're making gold out of the ashes of Draco Malfoy in canon that you give to them, they're taking the chance that you had.

Draco Malfoy is a bitch in canon, but you can do so much glorious things with a character like that and I'm here for it.

I'm all for Draco canon slander but here for Draco stans because they make art.
