What The Enneagrams Are Thinking

What the enneagrams are thinking

1: what the fuck this mother fucker right here I swear I won’t say anything but I AM SO PISSED

2: man why doesn’t everyone want to TAKE CARE OF EVERYONE?

3: I will be better. I must be better. Better than you. Better than me. Better better better

4: I am different and therefore better. These people are sheeple

5: *abstract shapes floating through space* AHA. I UNDERSTAND IT ALL NOW!

6, phobic: there are so many people so many things where are my blankets I feel UNSTABLE

6, counterphobic: *high pitched non stop screaming*

7: I wanna do a line. 10 lines. Not enough. Tomorrow I’ll fly to Bulgaria. Maybe Ireland. Nvm I know I’m just gonna chill w my pals

8: I want to shred this person’s liver and make bruschetta out of it for my girlfriend and I to eat at brunch

9: HAHAHHAHAHAHA I’m not angry I am chill, chill man chill I AM SO NICE

The darkest minds tend to hide behind the most unlikely faces.

Alexandra Bracken (via quotemadness)

- 8w9s are take a more diplomatic “take you under my wing” approach to control. they are more likely to want to control their intimates on an interpersonal level and are more into maintaining than pushing outward. despite their more gentle demeanor (externally at least) the 8w9 is often more intrusive than the 8w7 in this way and is intent on keeping his post as the head of whichever organization/group he is overseeing. - 8w7s on the other hand are more openly aggressive, but they are less into/don’t really care about interpersonal control. if the 8w9 is the Patriarch maintaining his realm, the 8w7 is the conqueror, expanding outward and trying to grow his territory. as such, the interpersonal control of the 8w7 is more limited to “you there! do this for me!” after which point they really won’t think of you because their desire for power is turned more towards tangible ambition, such as financial success, personal/career goals, skills acquisition or resource acquisition. - 7w8 is the bad boy of the enneagram. the 8 wing gives them a more visceral feel, more drive, more focus, and more ability to stomach the unpleasant aspects of pursuing their goals. 7w8s are impulsive, action oriented people and are usually more thrill seeking and competitive than their 7w6 cousins. 7w8s like to play rough and often enjoy pranks or practical jokes that cause the “victim” a little bit of pain. overall, the 7w8 has an energy like a race car, zooming toward the object of it’s desire. Examples: Jack Nicholson, Joan Rivers, Steve Jobs, Scarlett O'Hara 7w6: for comparison, 7w6 is typically more imaginative, fantastical and has an energy more like a fox (7w8 typically comes off more like a wolf, hyena or chimpanzee). they typically have a slightly nervous energy about them and a more childlike charm to their personalities. being 7s, they are still core assertive types (3, 7 and 8), but the 6 wing softens 7’s narcissistic tendencies (in contrast to the 8 wing, which magnifies them), adds a touch of caution and often results in a stronger tendency to second guess oneself.

hey no offense but [just starts screaming]

yep

You know you're an ENTP when #145

- You know how many times I have to hold myself from talking in the movie theatre or while watching tv with others… and if I’m quiet in there, then I want to talk about it afterwards.. other people just walk away from it like nothing happened.. and I’m thinkin c'mon people that was so interesting, let’s talk about it and pull it apart and put it back together again!??!!

The ENTP Awkward Phase

The ENTP awkward phase is a time, normally in the teen years, where the naturally goofy and loveable ENTP, represses themselves in order to fit in.

The problem with this is that ENTPs are well… naturally unique. Not everyone is like them which is why they’re one of the rarer personalities. Yet they want to fit in somewhat and to do this, they start repressing their naturally unique personality. It could be their weirdness, their loudness, their talkative nature, their annoyingness or anything really. But repressing it feels awful and it can lead the ENTP to feeling really upset.

When in this phase, ENTPs may fit in, but can still come across as rather introverted or just awkward. Yet this frustrates the ENTP because they know that that isn’t themselves at their best, and it feels like barely anyone knows what they’re actually like.

It can be hard to break out of this phase and be your happy ENTP self again, but the key is to not care about others. Their expectations shouldn’t be stopping you from being yourself. It doesn’t matter if they think you’re kind or not, what matters is your happiness and if being yourself upsets them, then that’s too bad.

As an ENTP, your charm comes from your weird and loveable personality and by repressing it, you’re no longer special.

Once you can accept your personality you won’t be acting or repressing yourself. Instead you’ll enjoy being yourself and find that everyone else is naturally drawn to you when you can do that sincerely.

7 is the best type in the head triad. 6s are too anxious and 5s are….5s

everyone get a 7 fix it’s fun 10/10
