I want ta make an au where Kai becomes one with the sea but his still the master of fire I need ta figure things out but I have so many ideas

Death of a cookie sheet and cookies

I did use the hc of Kai not being able ta read but his trying his best here....failing but still trying

Kai stared at the burnt lumps of cookies on the cookie sheet he had just wanted to make Jay something cooking was Kai's strong suit not baking

But he thought with Zane's instructions he could make Jay some cookies but somehow it went wrong Kai isn't sure how

Kai groaned holding his face fsm this was so embarrassing he ended up having to throw the cookie sheet away in the end he couldn't save it

Kai pouted as he did the dishes that did survive his failed attempt at making cookies he felt a pair of arms wrap around his waist

"Heyyyy Kai baby what smells burnt?" Jay placed his chin on Kai's shoulder

".....Cookies" Kai placed the mixing bowl in the drying rack ignoring how red his face was from his embarrassment

"Cookies?" Jay knows Kai isn't a baker so why was he making cookies?

"I um wanted to make you cookies" Kai pouted more he still can't figure out where he went wrong

Jay cooed pulling Kai away from the sink after turning off the water can't have Zane yelling at Jay again for that

"Here I'll help you!" Jay beamed at Kai who looked uncertain

"But it isn't a surprise then if you help with them" Kai had wanted it to be a surprise after all

"Eh it's fine!" Jay kissed Kai's forehead going and grabbing everything they'd need Kai watched rubbing his hands together

Jay came back with things for a simple easy cookie to make placing them down waving Kai over who moved to where Jay was standing

"Here you can make them and I'll tell you what to do" Jay was only offering because he knows Kai wanted to make them

"Okay fine" Kai kissed Jay's cheek he can do this how hard can it be this time?

"Now take the flour and pour some into the bowl" Jay went and turned on the oven while Kai poured the flour

"Done....is this enough?" Kai looked at Jay who hummed going over and looking

"Yeah! Now add the baking soda!" Jay smiled at Kai who looked confused

"But this isn't the baking soda?" Kai held up the bottle he thought baking soda came in boxes

"Kai baby honey love of my life that is it....what did you put in your first batch" Jay raised an eyebrow at Kai wondering what the hell he thought was baking soda

Kai glared at Jay putting the bottle down and went and grabbed....salt that was salt okay Jay's thankful the cookies brunt wait that's mean his boyfriends trying his best!

"Kai that's salt" Jay watched Kai blink looking at the bottle struggling to read it before turning more red

"Oh....fuck it is" Kai was never going to live this down was he? His boyfriends gonna hold it over his head forever

Kai does end having so many issues like girlie had ta learn how ta fight and fight dirty kill or be killed type shit

Nya gets ta be the ninja here and Kai gets ta bully the skeletons unfortunately I....removed her eye here-

Just a little rant here:

I'm really tired of people saying Kai would pick the fangblade over Lloyd even for aus because it just never makes sense ta me like Kai would NEVER have actually picked that blade over a kid who's trapped in lava without help

It doesn't matter if any of the others could have saved Lloyd (and they couldn't) Kai wouldn't have just grabbed the blade and leave Lloyd there in the lava no matter how much he "disliked" the kid

Hell Kai even if he had the time ta get the blade and Lloyd he'd still save Lloyd first and THEN the blade never the other way around because Lloyd is a CHILD

I've decided I shall write an au where Lloyd mistakes Kai as his mom but Kai is clearly male and definitely not his mom but Lloyd's little dragon/oni bits are like "MOM :D"

They're all fruits but no really Chen & Clouse were interesting villains wish there was more of them in the show

Garmadon on the other hand I got tired of seeing as a villain his "the greatest evil" but that's the overlord gets cured but oh wait his evil again like due wtf

Overall I wish the show touched more on their history together

Okay so I have been reminded of something. So, There have been multiple times Kai's been referred to as selfish. While I do not know the context for all of these moments, I know there has not been a single moment in the show outside of the stuff with him wanting to be the green, ninja and S1 along with the stuff that regarding the element staff back in S4.

There have been multiple times to work Kai has died or has made it very clear that he would die to protect another member of the team.

Some examples of these:

Back in S4 literally in the first episode of the season Kai said something that roughly meant "I should have died instead of Zane". Whoever Lloyd cuts him off saying "First it was being the green ninja now this can't you think about someone other than yourself?"

Despite not knowing how to swim towards the end of S5, Kai was the only one out of the ninja that could/ would swim because they wouldn't or would be less likely to die from it who was willing and did jump into the water to save Lloyd from drowning, Cole didn't jump into the water because if he did he would have died so he wouldn't have been much help. Meanwhile, Jay and Zane were fighting Moro leaving the ghost and the guy who can't swim to save Lloyd

KAI PRETTY MUCH RAISED HIS SISTER EVER SINCE THEIR PARENTS WENT MISSING/ GOT KIDNAPPED BY THE TIME TWINS.

KAI HAS SAVED LLOYD'S LIFE LIKE THREE TIMES!

IN DR KAI DIED TO SAVE NYA, WYLDFYRE, AND THE REST OF THE TEAM THAT WERE THERE!

If I didn't know any of this and this would have gotten brought up to me, I would have been annoyed as heck because this is a man who is willing to die for his friends yet they call him and have labeled him selfish when he has directly said that he would have died instead of Zane (causing Nya to lose her brother and only family that she knew was alive), has risked his life like three times to save Lloyd, And pretty much raised his sister yet. He's called selfish. The only one who hasn't done this is Zane and the only other people who haven't are some of the newer characters introduced in Dr. Who don't exactly see him that way. Seriously if I had to say how some of the new characters see Kai, I would say:

Arin: He wouldn't call Kai selfish. If anything, he'd be the kind of person that would glare at the other ninja because of things like risking his life to save Lloyd on multiple occasions saying that he would have been willing to die in Zane's place and even raising his sister even though he was like at the youngest four when his parents went missing. If anything, Arin would look up to this guy because he's gone through hell and back but is still willing to do anything for his team and sister even if they think he's selfish but he's only technically been selfish twice

Sora: very similar thing to Kai, but because she wouldn't have pretty much any of the context of all of the stuff that happened without being told stories of it or directly seeing some of the records from the cloud Kingdom (which I doubt you'd even get access to, unless Euphrasia gave her the access because Euphrasia might but not likely). So pretty much Sora would be the same thing as Arin but because she would be straight with no biases towards him because she isn't even from Ninjago!

Wyldfyre: She would see Kai as well. A father figure. Sure, he may not be the best dad in the world, but hey he's trying and he's not a terrible dad again. He's not the best either but no one's perfect. To be honest, I feel like if she ever learned about pretty much every member of the team calling Kai selfish at least once she would just go ballistic because she doesn't see him as selfish. She sees him as someone who's willing to and has died to save her and other people's lives. Directly saying that he would have died in Zane's place. Sure that would have left Nya without her brother But the world would be safe, He's risked his life on at least three different occasions to save Lloyd, back in the fire temple because it was about to erupt because for some reason it was put in a volcano, And despite not knowing how to swim being the only one out of the two that weren't fighting Morro who could have actually gone into the water to save Lloyd and he did that despite not even knowing how to swim. Then of course there's the time he actually died saving Nya and the rest of the team. And well sure he died at that point. His sister didn't need him and Wyldfyre had heatwave plus the rest of the team to keep her safe. Let me tell you when you know your dad is willing to die for you. You know he's a good dad and you know he's an extremely good dad when he has died for you!

Euphrasia: It's likely she's seen the scroll that Kai's Destiny was written on. She knows he's not selfish and the only times he has been was because of my adulteration because of the staff and when he wanted to be the green ninja. Outside of that, he's wrist his life more times than she's willing to count and has been willing to die for the team pretty much ever since Lloyd became the green ninja. Yet they refer to him as selfish. She doesn't get it.

Seriously I want this to be brought up in the show and for someone to go ballistic on the rest of the team because this mine has been willing to die for them pretty much ever since Lloyd became the green ninja and they took him for granted, not realizing who they had with them. Someone who cared for them a lot and was willing to die for them, even willing to die in the place of another member of the team when he died that one time, And yet every time they've called him selfish, he's seemingly never cared, still caring for them and willing to die for them. You can call him selfish after he's died to save his sister the rest of his team and at that point pretty much adopted daughter. If anything, he was selfless down to his very damn soul. And if anyone tries to tell me anything else I will punch you!
