although he tian wrote that he is ready to be a leash for guan shan, it is tian who is more like a dog. he follows mo everywhere and is ready to protect his redhead, even if he has to sacrifice something of his own/himself.

Mo’s been seriously bullied and injured and the first adults Ox shows us interacting with him are replicating exactly the same. This is an environment certifying the fallacious ideas constructed around him. This kid can’t catch a break.

The couple is oblivious of the harmful effect their judgemental attitude has. Even more in this particular character's skin. I don't think is random the couple is older. They represent a backward way of thinking: the lack of empathy.

Guanshan covers himself literally. Isolating from the violent gaze of strangers and peers that constantly hurt him.

He usually curls up inside his comfort zone showing his claws but now he just wants to disappear.

These are terrible psychological consequences. Worse than the physical ones, harder to heal.

That’s why is such a big deal when he asks HT if he believes in him. It means he still thinks there's a silver lining.

I think the death stare is HT not allowing those idiots fuck-up all the progress Mo and him have made. He cannot let his little mountain close off again. Mo’s given him a little more access inside his walls. Accepting his help, his loving care.
