Recently I had the opportunity to participate in an amazing collab with some other awesome artists for Magical Mirai 2019. Here is my piece of Megurine Luka. This was lots of fun, I can’t wait to see how the full thing will turn out, and I will be sure to post that as well.

I like my art skills, I like the bright colors that I use, I like that I can draw a relatively convincing human shape from memory, I like that I find drawing relaxing, and I like that I can find inspiration in anything.

Finally finished a full art for my rwby oc midnight. You can now all enjoy her eyes.

New D&D game means new characters to draw! Now I just need to draw the rest of the party............and finish drawing my first D&D party.

Here we go round four!!!! Wow I must follow a lot of people that have gotten this ask.

My username is from a character that I made up when I was like 6, basically her appearance and name is all I remember about her original design. I am almost done with finals! I have a sonic the hedgehog wallet, which I love, but it is sadly falling apart.

Lunch time

I’ve only been posting art for a little while, here and on my Instagram, and honestly, it’s been really nerve wracking for me. I kept wondering why I even decided to do this, but something happened that made it all worth it for me.

I was out and about with my family and ran into one of my old church leaders from when I was a kid and she shared a story with me about how my art had helped a girl. This leader has worked with foster kids for years, and is working on getting her masters in something related to helping teens and kids. As part of that she is working as a therapist for some kids, and in one session she was sitting with this girl. This girl was completely stonewalling her, wouldn’t say anything, wouldn’t even look her in the eye. My leader knew that she liked anime, and remembered all the anime art that I post, so she shared my art with this girl, and that helped her to open up. after that she wouldn’t stop talking.

I personally know how helpful therapy can be, and the thought that my art helped that girl to open up and be able to get the help she needed, well it makes it all worth it for me. I started making art because it makes me happy, not because of a class or for someone else, but because I love it and it makes me happy. I think I lost sight of that. so, I’ll keep making art, because I love it, and I’ll keep posting art, because maybe, just maybe, there is someone out there who I can help with my art.

Also four swords adventures has deku scrubs, the helmarock king, river zoras, windwaker style effects, link to the past style play, mentions of the twilight mirror, and phantom ganon. At this point I have just decided that it doesn't count in the timeline, and Four's adventures entirely take place at around the same time as minish cap/og four swords.

I always forget how hard the Zelda timeline is to coherently tie together in logical ways within the terms of the Zelda universe itself. Like, Four Swords for example. It takes place after the events of Skyward Sword and after the Chaos Era, but before Ocarina of Time and the timeline split. Okay, makes sense in terms of the in-universe history. You can tie that in and work out some of the kinks. But like, Four Swords Adventure, being placed AFTER Ocarina of time in the Child Timeline AFTER the Era of Twilight? ???? And Ganon is in it and mentioned?? 

You mean to tell me that TWO Link’s both pulled the Four Sword, just one taking place near the beginning of the timeline and the other taking place near the end(ish) of the timeline? 

I can suspend my disbelief with a lot of things in regards to Zelda. It’s a fun game series and the games stories were never meant to be tied together. Tying them together is fun, finding ways to make the “connected” story work. 

But sometimes trying to connect all the stories leads to me staring at the Zelda Timeline with dead eyes and a wish for a swift and painless end. 

I made the staff from the Disney movie Onward for my nephew last Halloween. More progress pics below the cut.

Main staff was a hanger wire wrapped in tubing and duck tape, the branching parts included. The gem was a muffin box that got painted and hot glued together and shoved some battery powered fairy lights inside. I am happy to report that it survived trick or treating.
