Whumpee curled up in the corner of their cell, head throbbing. They couldn't even remember the last time they saw whumper, the days blurring into each other. They were so hungry and cold. They just wanted to go home. Their eyes filled with tears and they tried oh so hard not to let them fall. At the worst possible time, they hear whumpers' footsteps outside. The dreadful sound of the key turning and the door opening.
"What do you want?" Whumpee grumbled.
"Grumpy today, are we?"
"Shut up."
Whumper walked over to whumpee and yanked their head up by their hair. Whumpee refused to look at whumper, staring depressingly at the floor, tears threatening to spill.
"Are those finally tears I see?"
Whumpee turned their head away and buried their face in their hands.
"Come on, don't hide from me. It's been forever since I've seen you cry."
Whumper grabbed whumpees chin and turned their face towards them. Still no response. Whumper sighed, "What's wrong, whumpee?"
Whumpee scoffed. Like whumper cared at all. Just trying to screw with their head.
Whumper sat down next to whumpee and they tensed as whumper drew circles on their back. "Really, you can tell me. It's not like you have anyone else."
Whumper was right. They were all whumpee had right now. They couldn't do this anymore. "I- I just wanna go home."
"I know sweetheart, but you know I can't let you do that."
"But why?! It's your fault I'm here in the first place."
"It doesn't make sense right now but I promise it will soon."
"How long will you keep saying that? I don't care. I don't- I-"
"Hey," whumpee looked up at whumper. "It's ok to break sometimes. You've been here so long. It was about time."
"But I'm not broken!"
Whumper smiled sympathetically. "It's fine to just accept it, okay? It'll make this so much easier."
"I won't. I'll never lose myself to you."
Whumper laughed, "That's what they all say. Give it a few weeks, heck, maybe even days if you keep regressing at this rate."
"Maybe I wouldn't be getting worse if you weren't here."
"You say that now, but when I leave you down here for longer, you'll be begging to see me. I'm the only one you have. It's up to you whether you accept that or not."
"Just leave." Whumpee couldn't let whumper get to them.
"You know what? How about you come with me right now and I'll give you a nice warm meal and bed?"
"I said go." A meal and bed was all whumpee could dream of, but they'd never take it from whumper.
"Suit yourself," Whumper got up and headed towards the door, "Don't say I didn't warn you."
As the door slammed shut, whumpee couldn't keep it together anymore. They cried harder than they ever had before, wishing there was another way out of this.
Whumpee squints their eyes open in the bright lights. So blinding. They can barely make out what's around them. Where were they again? Their vision focuses. No. They were in whumper's lab. Whumpee tries to get up only to have whumper's hand on their chest holding them down.
"Hey, none of that. We can't have you hurting yourself."
Whumpee glares at whumper. They try to talk but the words won't come out. They lift their hand to their neck. Why does their throat feel so funny?
Whumpee looks at whumper confused. What did you do to me?
Whumper acknowledges whumpees questioning face. "Oh, that? Don't worry about it. You'll be fine."
Whumpee is fuming. They try to push whumpers' hands off of them to no avail. When I get out of here my fist is going straight into his face-
"Woah, calm down. It's really nothing to be worried about. You've only been debarked."
What? Whumpee freezes. No, he didn't.
Whumper knows exactly what they're thinking. "Oh yes I did. Just like the pathetic dog you are."
That's why they couldn't talk. Their fricking vocal cords. Was that even possible? To just remove someone's vocal cords just for the heck of it?
Whumper chuckles at whumpee's realization, "I honestly don't see why you're so concerned. You never used that voice of yours for anything good anyway. I thought why not just get rid of it then?"
Whumpee opens their mouth again trying to speak, but only huffs of their breath come out.
"You should really stop that. Just gonna hurt yourself."
Whumpee sighs defeated. This was going to be hell for them. Being whumper's lab rat, the only thing they had to defend themselves was their voice. Without that how could they possibly keep themself sane?

"This is your last chance Whumpee."
Whumpee struggled against Whumper who was holding them above a tub of water by their wet hair. Water dripped down Whumpee's face as they gasped for breath.
"You can give me the information I need right now or we can keep going at this. I have all the time in the world."
"I'll n-never tell you anythi-"
Whumper pushed their head back under so fast that Whumpee didn't even have time to hold their breath. They coughed and sputtered while uselessly fighting against Whumper's grip. Their efforts were useless, immobilized by the tight handcuffs keeping their hands behind them.
Just when they thought they weren't going to make it, that Whumper was actually going to kill them, they were yanked out of the water. They took in all the air they could get before they were pulled under again. This time they didn't have as much fight left and quickly felt the world go black.
Whumpee awoke lying on the cell floor coughing. They turned over and slowly sat themselves against the wall. They tried to steady their breathing, hair and clothes still damp from earlier that day. Just as they started to relax, the door unlocked.
"Finally up, eh? You passed out on me. Had to end the fun early."
Whumpee scoffed. It definitely wasn't their idea of fun.
Whumper leaned against the wall with their arms crossed, "I have a little present for you." Oh gosh. That could never be good. "I feel like I haven't been going hard enough on you. You're still a little more comfortable here than I'd like."
Whumpee glared, "What do you mean not hard enough? You literally just drowned me until I passed out!"
"Ah, that's exactly what I mean. You're still talking back. You'd think with all that I've done, you wouldn't even think to, but that's just not the case for you, is it? You're so overcomplicated."
"Well, you can't expect me to just take you torturing me without talking back. It's your fault I'm like this anyways."
"I know. That's why I'm going to give you to my friend."
"What?"
"It's just for a few days. They are really good at what they do, even better than me. They'll hopefully straighten you out."
Just a few days. Whumpee could handle that. They should be glad to be away from their torturer, but Whumpee knew Whumper's friends were even more ruthless than Whumper which almost seemed impossible. They could handle it though. They had all this time. They wouldn't break now.
Whumpee was taken by surprise as Whumper pulled out wrist and ankle cuffs.
"What's that for?"
"To make sure you don't escape during transportation. Wouldn't want you to run away before we start. That'd really dampen my reputation."
Whumpee usually wasn't kept cuffed unless on rare occasion like when Whumper drowned them. They stumbled along as Whumper led them through parts of the base they'd never been before. Eventually, they found themselves outside. The sun hit them and they almost melted at it's warmth. They hadn't felt the sun in so, so long. Maybe this wouldn't be that bad. At least they finally got some fresh air even if Whumper's friend was apparently going to break them in or something.
Whumper waved to a friendly looking guy standing just outside of the base.
"Whumpee, this is my friend. Friend, this is Whumpee."
Whumpee almost laughed. There was no way this guy could hurt them, let alone a fly. Whumper was really making a mistake here.
"Nice to meet you Whumpee. I've heard a lot about you. I can't wait for our time together."
Whumpee simply nodded. They stayed strong as they were led into a car and driven away by Whumper's friend. This was going to be a nice break they thought. Boy, were they wrong.
Just a few days later they were begging to go back to Whumper. When the time came, they were dumped unceremoniously at Whumper's door. They nearly cried as Whumper picked them up and carried them to the medbay.
Everything hurt so bad. They were covered in blood and bruises. All they wanted was just a tiny break from the pain.
"Oh, you poor thing. I told you they were harsh. If you would've just listened in the first place this wouldn't have had to happen."
Whumpee cried as Whumper tended to their wounds.
"Shh, I know it hurts but we can't have you getting an infection." Whumper cupped their hand to Whumpee's face. "I know this was hard on you, but it needed to be done. Now you can be nice and good for me."
Whumpee continued to cry as Whumper comforted them. It felt so wrong. They shouldn't let the one who hurt them so much even be near them, but here they were. They were so desperate for even a second of relief that they pushed those thoughts aside. It was okay to need a break. They would take Whumper's comfort for a little bit then everything would go back to normal, right?

Whumpee was tied to a chair as Whumper walked towards them with a cruel grin on their face. Whumpee's breath got faster as they struggled against the restraints.
"Long time no see Whumpee."
Whumpee's breath caught in their throat as they noticed Whumper was holding a knife.
"I thought I'd lost you. You really put me to a lot of trouble running away like that."
Whumpee whimpered as Whumper lifted the knife to their throat.
"You turned me in too. I really thought I could trust you."
Whumpee hissed through their teeth as Whumper pressed down the knife enough to draw blood.
"You know I love you Whumpee. I really do, but I just can't stand to look at you after you betrayed me like that. To end my troubles I think I might just have to end you."
Whumpee screamed as Whumper slit their throat. Blood gargled in their mouth and then everything went black.
Whumpee woke up with a scream and frantic breaths. Oh gosh. This can't be happening. Whumper was going to kill them. They were gonna die with that- They realized that Whumper wasn't there. They looked around with bleary eyes. Were they... oh. They were in their room. They reached up to touch their throat with shaky hands. There was no blood. Relief washed over them. They were alive. Whumper didn't win.
Whumpee stumbled out of bed. Gosh, their throat was so dry. They needed water. They took a few unsteady steps before crashing into the wall.
Caretaker came bursting through the door, eyes widening at seeing Whumpee's state. They were leaning against the wall on wobbly legs, sweat and confusion on their face.
Caretaker rushed over to Whumpee and carefully helped them sit down. "Whumpee! What happened?"
"Uhh... I don't really know. I- I was with Whumper and he... killed me. Then I was here and... Can you get me some water please?"
"Of course."
Caretaker came back shortly and handed Whumpee the water which they downed in a few seconds.
"Th-thank you."
"Sure." Caretaker looked at Whumpee, concern lacing their features. "You said you were with Whumper. He's gone, has been for a while. You're safe now. I'm guessing you had another nightmare."
"Uh, yeah. I guess so."
"Do you want to talk about it?"
"Not really if that's okay." Whumpee's face turned red, "Could you... um maybe tuck me back in?"
Caretaker smiled, "Of course sweetheart."
Caretaker helped Whumpee into bed and wrapped them up in big, fluffy blankets until they were comfy. They stayed at Whumpee's bedside, playing with their hair. Caretaker smiled as Whumpee peacefully drifted to sleep. They hoped it would stay that way for a while. Whumpee could really use the rest.

Whumpee flinched as they heard the door to their cell open. Whumper walked in looking almost sympathetic, a look that could never be trusted coming from them.
Whumper sighed, "I just got off the phone with your team."
Whumpee perked their head up at that.
"They had a whole lot to say but I um... have something to tell you."
Whumpee was paying so much attention that Whumper thought their brain might explode.
"They agreed that they aren't coming back for you."
Whumper tried to hide their delight as Whumpee's eyes widened in disbelief like they were a puppy that just got kicked.
"What? You're lying. They wouldn't-"
"Oh, but yes they would." Whumpee shivered as Whumper looked them directly in the eyes walking towards them. "That's why they abandoned you in the first place."
"But... they wouldn't. I know my team better than you and... they wouldn't do that."
Whumper kneeled down in front of Whumpee, face filled with some form of concern but there was a fire in their eyes that Whumpee didn't want to acknowledge.
"Oh sweetheart, I hate to say this but... they don't care about you."
Whumpee's heart shattered in an instant. Deep down they knew their team thought lesser of them and probably weren't coming back, but to hear it straight from Whumper really set it in stone.
Whumpee broke down in tears as Whumper cradled them in their arms.
"Don't cry sweetheart. I know it's not what you wanted to hear, but you still have me."
This only made Whumpee cry harder as they melted in Whumper's arms. It felt so wrong, it was so wrong, but what else could they do? They didn't want to acknowledge it, but the only one they had left was Whumper. Even if they hated them. Even if Whumper had hurt them endlessly for so long. They didn't have a choice so they chose the only thing they could choose; to finally give in.
“It’s not as bad as it looks.” | Bite | Swelling | Disfiguration |
Caretaker gasped as they saw Whumpee's hand swollen and bleeding.
"Whumpee! What happened? That looks terrible!"
"Eh, it's not as bad as it looks. Just accidentally slammed it in the door.
"Don't lie to me. Let me go get the first aid-"
"No, really. It's not that bad. It barely even hurts. I'll be fine."
Caretaker sighed, "If you say so."
Caretaker came back a while later to see Whumpee cradling their hand with a pained expression on their face. Whumpee quickly hid behind a smile as Caretaker walked in. Caretaker looked at them sternly as they noticed bruises blooming on Whumpee's face.
"I know you didn't just slam your hand in the door. Would you like to tell me what happened?"
"Uh... not really?"
Caretaker glared at them.
"Okay! I just got in a fight. No big deal."
"No big deal?! You can't just hide things like that from me Whumpee. This is happening way too often."
Whumpee thought for a moment. "I mean, where do you think I got it from? You used to get in fights all the time."
"Yeah, but I was a spy! You're not."
"Wellll, it's not that different. You never know when Whumper might snatch me off the street again," Whumpee laughed.
Caretaker couldn't argue with that. Whumpee hadn't been this animated since before Whumper, and they were even making jokes about it.
Caretaker's lips quirked into a half smile, "What will I ever do with you Whumpee?"

Whumpee's breath quickened as Whumper came closer. Every backwards step they took, Whumper took another step towards them. They eventually found themselves backed into the wall. Whumper glared at them with pure anger.
"You're so stupidly naive." Whumper grabbed Whumpee's hand and held it against the wall, fingers splayed out flat against it. Whumpee shivered at the unwelcomed touch.
"You actually thought you'd be able to get away," Whumper tsked, "Well now I'll make sure you can't."
At this moment Whumpee painfully noticed the knife in Whumper's other hand as they lifted it towards Whumpee.
"Wai- AUHG!"
Whumpee cried out as Whumper jammed the knife through their palm into the wall behind them. Blood trickled down Whumpee's twitching hand.
"Does that hurt?"
All Whumpee could manage to get out were half intelligible pleas.
"Good. I hope you've learned your lesson Whumpee."
They begged incoherently as Whumper walked away, slamming the door behind them. Whumpee broke down into sobs as they were left to wallow in their misery.

Whumpee had a sinking feeling that someone had been watching them. Everyone, even themself, tried to brush it off as just the result of being held captive by Whumper for so long. It was just them being paranoid. Or so they thought.
One night after Whumpee had come home from a somewhat normal day at work, they swore they heard footsteps from upstairs. They listened closely and stopped in their tracks as they heard someone making their way down the stairs. Nope, definitely not their imagination. They grabbed a kitchen knife and scrambled into the back of the nearest closet.
Whoever was there was taking their dang time. This made the situation all the more real, and Whumpee hardly noticed they were holding their breath.
As the intruder got closer, Whumpee could make out the all too familiar click of shoes across the tile floor. When the closet door was pulled open, the knife was rendered useless as Whumpee completely froze in terror, dropping the knife as menacing eyes looked down on them.
"Well, well, well," Whumper grinned, "What do we have here?"
Whumpee merely looked up at Whumper dumbfounded. After all the effort in running and rebuilding their life, Whumper had still found them.
"I'm honestly disappointed you thought you could hide from me Whumpee."
"How'd you-?"
"It was quite easy honestly. After you escaped I just asked around. It wasn't hard to notice a traumatized little person like you wandering around begging for help. Gosh, almost everyone I asked had heard about you. I just followed the trails and here I am."
I mean Whumpee couldn't really be surprised at that. They had learned in their time with Whumper that Whumper had ties everywhere. They were overall a kind person to those who knew them under different circumstances and therefore a lot of people trusted them. Whumpee internally cursed themself for thinking they ever had a chance. Whumper would always have the upper ground.
"How long ago did you find me?"
"Oh, months ago. It's been fun watching you try to undo all the work I've done. No matter what you do, I'm still there. Heck, the evidence of me is all over your body."
Whumpee shivered as the scars littered under their sweater became all the more noticable. It was like someone had stuck a match to them and everywhere Whumper had ever hurt them was on fire, burning so hot they couldn't scrub away the pain.
"I'm surprised you could even hold this knife without being reminded of me," Whumper easily picked up the knife, Whumpee too scared to try anything. "We both know that deep down, you'd never be able to hurt me anyways, not after all I've done to you."
Whumpee didn't know what to do anymore. They were corned and Whumper was right, they'd never be able to hurt Whumper no matter how much they wanted to. They could at least waste some time by talking, maybe get some of the answers they'd been hoping for.
"So it was you all along. Everyone thought I was crazy. Even I thought I was."
"Yeah. That's the other thing that was fun. Watching you always on edge trying not to lash out at everyone that tried to help you, but you still ended up pushing them all away. That's why no one is here to save you Whumpee. I'm the only one you have whether you like it or not."
Whumpee shivered at that thought. It was the truth no matter how much they tried to wipe it from their mind. Whumper knew them all too well.
Whumper couldn't help but love how careful Whumpee was being. Trying to stall time, barely saying a word, not even fighting back. That was a big improvement from when they'd first taken Whumpee.
"Ready to go?" Whumper asked, even though they both knew Whumper would drag Whumpee kicking and screaming out the door.
Whumpee's heart dropped, "Wait... what?"
Whumper laughed, "Come on Whumpee, you really thought I just came here to scare you? No, I'm taking you with me."
"You- you can't! This is my home now. I- did so much to get here and... and you can't just take it all away again!"
"Oh, just watch me," Whumper's grin was something Whumpee was all too used to, but this time it was filled with a coldness Whumpee had never seen before and it scared them so, so much.
Before Whumpee could even blink, Whumper injected something into their neck.
"Nonono. You did not," Whumpee's world began to spin and nausea crept up their throat.
"Oh yes I did."
The last thing Whumpee remembered before their world went dark was Whumper scooping them up and their cold voice in their ear.
"Time to go home Whumpee."

"It didn't have to be this way." Whumper stalked towards Whumpee. All they could do was glare up at Whumper from their spot tied to a chair. Blood trickled down their face and their head spun from Whumper banging it into the wall.
Whumpee chuckled bitterly, "It really didn't. You could've just let me go in the first place."
Whumper grinned, "Yes, but where's the fun in that? I enjoy breaking you far more. Remember, it was your choice anyways. I keep you in exchange for your precious Caretaker's life."
"Well, hate to break it to you, but I'm gonna get out of here."
Whumper raised a brow, "You're so sure, huh?"
The door to the room opened and a bloody and bruised Caretaker was unceremoniously dumped onto the floor. Whumpee's eyes widened as Caretaker didn't move.
"Caretaker! Oh gosh! What did you do to them?"
"Don't worry. They're still alive. For now at least." Whumper smiled sadistically as Whumpee's face dropped even more.
"You- we had a deal! You promised you'd let them go!" Whumpee's voice wobbled as they held back tears.
Whumper chuckled, "Who ever said I was honest?"
"Please! I'm begging you. Let them go. You- can do whatever you want with me! I'll do anything, just please don't hurt them anymore."
Whumpee screamed as one of the people who brought in Caretaker kicked them in the side, fueling Whumpee's anger.
"STOP IT! They're already down! Can't you just let them be?" Whumpee looked away as tears started streaming down their face.
"Oh, don't be like that. We need you to watch the show." Whumper roughly grabbed Whumpee's chin, forcing them to look as Caretaker was beaten into the ground. Whumpee sobbed as Whumper whispered into their ear.
"Remember this all could've been prevented if you'd just listened. We did have a deal, but you weren't as obedient as you promised to be. Everytime you fought back you did this to Caretaker. It's all your fault and I'll continue to remind you of that until you don't even think about resisting. Do you understand?"
Whumper was filled with delight as Whumpee looked up at them with tear filled eyes and murmured, "I understand."
"Help me." | Failed escape | On the run | Fetal Position
Cw: medical whump, needles, restraints
Whumpee contently sighs while slowly opening their eyes, squinting at the bright hospital lights. Their eyes widen as they see an IV sticking out of their arm.
Nononono. This cannot be happening again.
Whumpee starts hyperventilating, tears welling up in their eyes. Without a second thought they reach to pull the needle out, but their arms won't move. They look closer to see they are tied down to the bed. They start thrashing around frantically trying to escape the restraints.
"Where am I?" They couldn't possibly be back with whumper. "Help me!"
Caretaker comes running into the room. Their heart drops as they see whumpee thrashing around with a look of pure terror on their tear streaked face.
"What's wrong whumpee? You're in the hospital, you're safe." Caretaker runs over to whumpee's bedside gently pushing the hair out of their face.
"W-why is there an IV? Why am I tied down?" Whumpee's voice breaks, trying but failing to hold back their tears.
Caretaker grabs whumpees hand, gently rubbing circles on their palm. "I know you hate needles, but you need the IV to stay healthy. I didn't want to have to tie you down either, but everytime you wake up you keep trying to pull the IV out and escape. Don't worry. It's for your own safety ."
"So you're sure you're not drugging me or anything."
"No whumpee, of course not."
"I promise I'll be good. Just- take the restraints off. Please? It... reminds me too much of whumper."
Caretaker's heart breaks again at that. They don't understand what kind of monster could hurt whumpee like this. "I'm sorry but the doctor said to leave them on until we can be sure you won't act out. Can I trust you won't try to run out again?"
"Yes. I won't try anything again."
"Promise?"
"Yeah, I promise."
Caretaker sighs, "Okay."
Whumpee calms down quickly as caretaker undoes the restraints. Whumpee is still frightened by the IV, but they tell themself they'll get used to it eventually.
"Thank you caretaker," whumpee says with a wobbly smile.
Caretaker smiles back warmly.
Whumpee curls into a ball under the sheets, careful not to mess with the IV. Caretaker stays by their side running their fingers through whumpee's hair until they fall into a peaceful sleep. This is going to be a long recovery, but caretaker promises to be by whumpee's side every step of the way.
Hey there! I've been lurking in the shadows of whumpblr for a while, but thought I'd finally force myself to quit hiding. I'm not gonna put my real name on here so you can just call me my username I guess. Hopefully I'll write my own series eventually, but for now I'll stick to drabbles and smaller stuff. I'm gonna attempt to do some whump challenges but we shall see how that goes. I'm really new to writing whump and I'm still testing things out, so I apologize if this blog is a mess lol.
Some tropes I like: Kidnapping, torture, interrogation, defiant/stoic whumpees, intimate/creepy whumpers, circus whump, mute whumpees/whumpers, drugging
Dislikes: BBU, heavy gore, fully conditioned whumpees (Definitely no NSFW cause I'm a minor.)
I'd also like to note I have social anxiety and selective mutism, so I apologize in advance if I'm a bit awkward and don't respond to things immediately. That doesn't at all mean I don't want to interact with people, I'm just not that good at it.
Thanks for reading! Can't wait to start whumping! :)
