This fanfiction was written before the release of the third Sonic movie, so this story can be considered his alternate universe...

— Great job, guys! We did it! Sonic the blue hedgehog solemnly announced to his friends and brothers, the yellow two—tailed fox cub and the red warrior echidna Knuckles, standing next to a pile of scrap metal that just a few minutes ago was a formidable military machine of the GUN organization.

— I wonder what else we can expect from these soldiers...— sighed Tails.

— I hope that there won't be any more battles or battles for today... — Sonic looked at the fox cub. He couldn't blame the kid for his words, because all three of them were pretty tired from fighting today.

And the hedgehog still couldn't understand why the GUN was so angry at him and his friends, because they hadn't done anything wrong. Yes, the Hanoverians still did not like the motley trio, but they still did not touch him or his friends and family until today. But then the question arises: why did they suddenly decide to hunt them, especially him, Sonic?

Sonic, on the other hand, lived quite peacefully in the town of Green Hills, and did not commit anything so criminal. Of course, he couldn't always sit around, so he could mess around. But all his pranks were harmless enough to be hunted down like that. Did someone really consider his fun to be a real crime?

In any case, Sonic and the others wanted to get to the Wachowski house as soon as possible, where they would definitely be safe.

— On the contrary, I would not mind another battle! Knuckles suddenly responded, flexing his fists. "If that's all these pathetic warriors are capable of, then they're no match for us.

"Knuckles, you'd better keep quiet, otherwise you'll get into trouble," the blue leader chided the red warrior. "What did I say?" — Echidna did not understand. — Battles are the meaning of my life! And... how am I going to get into trouble?

— It's not that important, — said the hedgehog. — Right now, your main purpose should be to save our family from evil people and save our skins.

"Sonic's right, Knuckles,— Tails interjected. — Now we'd better hurry, before new cars arrive here, which may turn out to be much stronger than the previous ones.

— Ha! I'm not afraid of any hardware! The warrior boasted.

"Knuckles, we need to be smarter here, not braver, okay? Sonic sounded tired and annoyed.

— It's wonderful! Now let's go… Tom and Maddie are worried about us.…

— Sonic, Knuckles, look! Suddenly, the fox cub screamed, pointing to his older friends at a bright flash of light that appeared right on the wreckage of a combat vehicle.

—Oh, no! If it's the soldiers from the helicopter again, then there's no way I'm going back to them! — Sonic shouted angrily. — They don't even have a TV with interesting programs and chilidogs!

At the last sentence, Tails and Knuckles cast puzzled glances at the blue hedgehog. He caught their glances and asked in surprise:

But then the flash disappeared, and a silhouette appeared in place.

— Hello. Glad to finally meet you, blue hedgehog," the stranger spoke in a low but very pleasant voice.

— Who? What? — That's all the hedgehog said in response. He himself did not trust the stranger.

— And to be more precise... — meanwhile the unknown continued. — Sonic the Hedgehog… I'm right, aren't I?

He came out into the light, and the three friends gasped when they saw a representative of their race, the Mobians. But Sonic himself was the most shocked. A black hedgehog with red stripes towered over him, standing in a proud pose.

— Wow! Another hedgehog? Tails was amazed. — And moreover... he looks a bit like you, Sonic…

Yes, even though the black and scarlet hedgehog had the side needles on its head turned up, while the blue one had all the needles turned down, and the alien also had red eyes, like the stripes on its skin, and there was a white fluffy tuft of fur on its chest, and its feet were not wearing sneakers. and the jet boots, nevertheless, Sonic noticed some similarities with him. And it's quite attractive for a teenager, which is also a blue hedgehog. And if you don't pay attention to some of the eye-catching details of the exterior, then the striped hedgehog could quite look like a reflection of the blue hero, only maybe dark, or like his ... shadow.

— It's been a while since we've seen each other, Sonic, right? — the stranger was still talking to his fellow.

—Sonic, do you... know him? — Tails asked Sonic uncertainly.

- N-no… It's... the first time I've seen him... — was all he said, and then suddenly he screamed. Putting his hand on his forehead, he clenched his teeth, and some fuzzy images appeared before his eyes: as if at first he was playing and laughing with someone, then horror and fear came, and then complete darkness.

"Sonic, are you okay?" — The fox cub was worried about his friend.

—Yes... I'm fine... — Sonic whispered, having overcome a sudden headache.

— Are you sure about this, hedgehog? — Knuckles also expressed concern.

— Yes, yes. It's okay, guys. Everything's fine, — and then blue turned to his kinsman. "Who do you even think you know me?"

"Have you really forgotten me, Sonic?" Striped asked, feigning surprise. — Maybe those nasty people who hunted you can help you refresh your memory?

Then suddenly it dawned on Sonic…

"So you set me up, huh?" Is GUN following us because of you?

- Hm. Well... you could probably say that..." the black and red hedgehog grinned slyly.

"So you're the criminal the GUN soldiers are looking for!" — Sonic got angry. "You should be put in jail!" — he glowed blue all over.

—If you think so... then try and catch me,— Tabby said mockingly.

Sonic angrily rushed towards the stranger.

— Sonic, wait! — Tails tried to stop him, but the hedgehog did not listen to him. Sonic was too angry at the hedgehog, who had, in fact, put him and Blue's family in danger! He could not allow the attacker to escape deserved justice so easily.

At the same time, he remembered how he left his first family on his home planet, the owl Longclaw, who took him under her wing. He just couldn't make another mistake and lose the second family he had found on Earth.…

Here the hero jumped up, curled into a ball and rushed to attack the dark hedgehog. Knuckles and Tails couldn't believe what was happening in front of their eyes: Sonic had never been as furious as he was now, so they didn't understand what could have angered their prickly friend and brother so much.

—Take it, You Faker! Sonic exclaimed, continuing to charge at his kinsman. As for the black hedgehog himself, he stood calmly, keeping his composure. And then he said faintly:

—Chaos Control, — and then he disappeared.

And Sonic just shot forward until he hit the asphalt, leaving a decent dent in place.

— Oh... what happened? Where did that hedgehog go? — shaking his head and coming to himself, he said.

— Sonic! — soon his sworn brothers ran up to him.

"Aren't you looking for me, blue hedgehog?" — three guys turned their gaze to one of the high-rise buildings, where the unknown man was now standing.

"Is he really that fast?" — Sonic was amazed. "Is he even faster than me?"

—I... I don't think it was speed, Sonic..." the fox cub hesitated. And the stranger continued a moment later:

— Ha! Nothing compares to the power of Chaos itself... and only the Ultimate Life Form, which I am, can master it.…

— Oh, yeah? If you're not a coward, but come down and fight me! — challenged the Ultimate Life Form of the blue hedgehog.

"You shouldn't underestimate me, little hedgehog..." he giggled. — I really shouldn't have... — but still went down to the ground, although he did not approach the heroes.

— Come on! Fight me one on one if you are not afraid of me and my power! — Sonic got ready to run. — Just watch it without tricks!

— Sonic, maybe it's better not to? — Tails was afraid for his best friend, after all, they know so little about the striped hedgehog. After all, it is not known what he is capable of.

—And we're a team, hedgehog,— Knuckles also reminded.

— Guys, I can handle it, don't worry. I can handle it," Sonic informed them confidently, turning to them briefly.

—Well, since you're bragging about your strength like that, Impostor, then show it to me,— the black-and-scarlet man said arrogantly.

— Well then... turn on the maximum! — and Sonic raced down the street, soon his brother chased after him.

"Let's go after them, Knuckles,— the fox cub then suggested to echidna. — Something tells me that nothing good will come of this.…

"I agree with you, fox. Let's hurry after the blue hedgehog then," Tails nodded, and the friends set off after their leader.

Meanwhile, Sonic kept trying to figure out what kind of super-fast hedgehog was next to him. And... why did it look kind of familiar to him, albeit vaguely? — Heh. Now we're alone, hedgehog. Show me what you can do without your... "friends," the black and red hedgehog sneered.

— With pleasure, Faker! — and Sonic tried to kick his kinsman, but he deftly dodged, and then struck back at the blue with his fists until he collapsed to the ground. But quickly recovering, Sonic rushed back into battle. However, the enemy easily repelled his attacks, it was clear that the hedgehogs were equal to each other in strength and were not inferior to each other.

— Ha! Is that all? Tabby scoffed. "I thought you could do better."

"Then how do you like it?"

Sonic went on the attack again, but, alas, he missed, as the other hedgehog managed to jump back in time. Nevertheless, the blue one did not give up and continued to strike, until one of them hit the same boastful striped tribesman.

— Hmph. Not bad, — he involuntarily praised the hero, which made our blue even a little embarrassed. "For a beginner,— and the black one hit Sonic right in the face, knocking him aside so that he bent a lamppost. "And yet... I'm a little disappointed with you… Sonic".

Sonic, admittedly, has already managed to run out of steam. He already had a difficult day because of the soldiers, so the addition is still now an unfamiliar hedgehog, running as fast as he does, and also possessing the energy of Chaos itself.

Therefore, he continued to lie on the ground, catching his breath.

— Sonic!!! — soon screams were heard, and after a couple of minutes, his loyal friends were already next to the prickly hero.

"Sonic, are you okay? Sonic?" The little fox's voice was trembling with undisguised excitement and fear for his older brother.

—It's okay... guys... now... I'll get up..." he muttered, trying to get up, but after an unsuccessful attempt to get to his feet, he fell.

— No, hedgehog. Then we will fight to protect your honor! — Knuckles said, and stepped in front of his younger companions. "Listen up, hedgehog! More precisely, the dark hedgehog! Leave our brother alone and fight with me!"

— And with me too! — Tails volunteered, standing next to Echidna.

The striped hedgehog didn't even look towards his rival's loyal companions, as if they were nothing to him. He rolled his eyes in boredom.

"I don't care about you two. You are not worthy of my attention.

—Oh, right! — Knuckles said angrily. —Then I'll make you pay attention to us, dark hedgehog! — and the red warrior attacked the insolent man. The man only stole a glance at him, and then suddenly disappeared, so Knuckles couldn't get to the stranger either. — Argh! You're dishonest, dark hedgehog! You're only bringing shame on yourself by hiding from me and my righteous wrath!

— You are not my rival, Red, so give up. We can fight in another one, but now I've come for the blue hedgehog," the friends were surprised to see the black and scarlet one on top of the lantern.

— You won't get Sonic, no matter who you are! Tails stood up for his best friend. He was all fluffed up in anger.

- Yes! And are you really afraid of my fists? — Knuckles quipped, striking his fists apart, and small red lightning bolts ran across them from the impact.

—You two are just a waste of my precious time,— the hedgehog calmly replied to them. — And I came here only for the sake of the well-known "Blue Justice". However, I thought that our glorious blue hero was much stronger and more capable than the way I see him now.…

—I... Haven't... Finished... Yet... You Faker! — Sonic shouted, all lit up with lightning. "And I'll show you what heroes can do when they're underestimated and belittled!" — the blue hedgehog rushed at the enemy again. He grinned contentedly.

"That's what I expected to see from you, Faker," his striped kinsman broke into a smile, after which he also sparkled with lightning, except perhaps in red, and then, curling up into a ball, rushed towards the hero.

Sonic also curled up into a sparkling blue ball on the fly, and then both hedgehogs hit each other. They were thrown in different directions, but that did not stop them from returning to the fight.

With each attack, there were bright blue-red flashes of light.

It felt like someone had staged a light show.

Tails and Knuckles even had to turn away, squinting so as not to be blinded by such a sight.

Well, the two prickly tangles continued to spin and spin for some time, colliding with each other along the way, until with one powerful blow they bumped into each other, unwilling to yield to their opponent in strength.

And after such a powerful blow, a huge wave swept through the area, which caused windows to be blown out in houses and other buildings and even cut off electricity.

Tails and Knuckles were also affected, and the two of them were thrown aside.

And two hedgehogs bounced off each other after their big collision with each other. Each of them, breathing heavily, managed to exhale decently.

"Very impressive, blue hedgehog,— the black and red hedgehog said, catching his breath. — You really managed to show me your strength.

Sonic didn't even know how to respond to the praise. Besides, he expected a trick after the opponent's words, just like last time.

"However, you..." the striped one soon continued, "still have a lot to learn...— he straightened up. — Join me, Sonic… And you... will know the true essence of the power contained in you.…

Sonic was shocked by what he heard. He turned to his friends. They were recovering from a powerful explosion caused by hedgehogs. And then, having regained control of himself, the blue hedgehog replied to his fellow:

— No way! There's no way I'm going to help a criminal like you!

—Humph,— he snorted. — That's a little sad to hear.… But I'm sure you'll change your mind eventually, especially after running away from those soldiers..." and as if to confirm his words, loud sirens of police and special military vehicles, the noisy chirping of helicopters, and light circles from searchlights appeared nearby. — And now goodbye, Sonic. We'll meet again. You'll see," the striped hedgehog smiled mysteriously and, before leaving with the help of "Chaos Control", added goodbye. — And yes… I'm Shadow... Shadow the Hedgehog..." and then he was gone.

— The blue hedgehog! Don't move! You're under arrest! Put your hands behind your head, stay where you are and don't resist! — it was heard later from the loudspeakers.

— Sonic, what are we going to do? — the fox cub shouted to his friend. Sonic didn't immediately figure out what to do, because he still hadn't recovered from what had just happened to him.

—You and Knuckles get out of here, as fast as you can!" Go back to Tom and Maddy! And I'm going to stay here and distract the GUN's attention on myself! — the blue hedgehog commanded and was already preparing to run when his friends called out to him:

"But, Sonic, we can't leave you!"

— The fox is right, the hedgehog! We are clansmen, one family, and therefore we must cope with difficulties together!

— Guys, I appreciate your help, honestly! Sonic asked them. "But I know what to do!" Besides, if something goes wrong, then you, Tom and Maddie can come up with a new plan! Now go away! Right now!

"But… Sonic..." Tails said, because he didn't want to leave his best friend alone with the GUN people.

"You heard him, fox. Let's go quickly,— Knuckles urged him, and the little fox, casting a sad glance at the hedgehog, flew up on his tails and headed away from the city with echidna.

"At least they'll be safe..." flashed through Sonic's mind. He looked after the guys with a smile on his face, and then ran forward to meet the soldiers.

Also, while running, the striped hedgehog, who introduced himself as Shadow, appeared before his eyes again.

Ha! Shadow... is that really his name? The guy who looked kind of blue? Surely it's not possible that Shadow... turned out to be Sonic's doppelganger?.. Or at least a kind of doppelganger?..

But here's what's weird… For some reason, Sonic found that strange hedgehog... really familiar.… But only... how could he know that?..

"Now is not the time to chase after visions, Sonic! Concentrate! We need to get the soldiers as far away from Tails and Knuckles as possible so that they don't get hurt! Concentrate! Run faster!" the young hedgehog thought, growling to himself, not stopping to run. Soon, the chase began again.

Sonic could have laughed or made some jokes, but he didn't, because the situation was too tense and serious, which required the hedgehog's attention if he wasn't going to be captured by the military.

RUS: Представляю вам, ребята, один из моих старых артов, на котором я изобразила всех шестерых птенцов Опилы и Тарты (5 розовых, как мама, девочек и зелёного, как папа, мальчика), которым, к слову, я даже дала имена, поскольку по канону игры у них нет имён, в отличие от имени Клювик, которое дал малютке-птичке Шериф Тоадстер.

Чтобы вам не запутаться, я специально пронумеровала каждого птенца. Вот их имена: 1 - Пушинка, 2 - Пёрышко, 3 - Щебетунья, 4 - Пинки, 5 - Клювик и 6 - Тарта Младший (он же Джуниор).

ENG: I present to you guys one of my old art, on which I depicted all six chicks of Opila and Tarta (5 pink, like mom, girls and green, like dad, boy), which, by the way, I even gave names to, because according to the canon of the game they do not have names, unlike the name Little Beak, which was given to the little bird by Sheriff Toadster.

In order not to confuse you, I have specially numbered each chick. Here are their names: 1 - Fluff, 2 - Feather, 3 - Twitterer, 4 - Pinky, 5 - Little Beak and 6 - Tarta Jr. (aka Junior).

Дилемма Соника

Мне понравилась сцена после титров второго фильма про Соника, где появляется капсула с Шэдоу. Кто-то считает, что его слишком рано решили добавить во вселенную киношного Соника. Ну, а я считаю, что это просто классно! Я надеюсь, что третий фильм про синего ежа выйдет очень зрелищным и эффектным. И поскольку у Соника за два фильма не были показаны его настоящие кровные родители, то я предположила, что наш синий герой мог быть создан искусственно (впрочем это также основано на теориях, что Соника создали на колонии АРК, что мне также интересно), то есть практически являясь братом для ежа Шэдоу! Здесь написаны лишь мои предположения, как может выглядеть сцена с Соником и Шэдоу, которые тут являются кровными братьями. Надеюсь, что вам понравится читать фанфик. А также надеюсь, что что-то похожее будет и в самом фильме.

В колонии АРК было довольно тихо, пока в один из её коридоров не зашёл один гость. Синий ёж зашагал по длинному тёмному коридору. Его шаги еле слышно отражали эхо по всему коридору.

«Здесь так тихо и пусто… Надеюсь, что я иду в верном направлении», — размышлял он про себя, продолжая шагать. Вот перед ним показалась большая металлическая дверь, которая тут же открылась, пропуская ежа вперёд. Тот вошёл вовнутрь, и дверь за ним закрылась. Он оказался в огромном пустом зале.

Здесь, кроме пола, потолка, стен и иллюминатора, ничего было. «Так, не паникуй, Соник. Ты просто свернул не туда. Может, ещё можно повернуть назад?», — подумал он, пока его мысли не отвлекли звук металлических дверей и чьи-то шаги. Соник встал в боевую стойку, заметив приближающегося к нему Шэдоу.

— Оу. Снова ты? И почему я не удивлён? — задал вопрос чёрный с красными полосами ёж.

— Я здесь, чтобы остановить тебя и Роботника! И ты меня не остановишь! — воскликнул Соник.

— Ты зря недооцениваешь меня, самозванец. Очень зря, — произнёс Шэдоу, в его тоне послышалась угроза, от которой шёл мороз по коже.

— Вообще-то, это вовсе не недооценка, самозванец! Я многое о тебе знаю и представляю, на что ты способен, как противник!

— Не говори так, будто ты всё обо мне знаешь! — прокричал в гневе красноглазый ёж зеленоглазому, что аж на шкуре показались красные молнии.

Но затем он, глубоко вздохнув, успокоился и продолжил разговор:

— Ты уверяешь меня, что знаешь обо мне. Но уверен ли так в этом?

— Да. Тебя создали на колонии АРК 50 лет назад, затем пришли солдаты, которые убили здесь многих учёных, а эксперименты забрали себе и спрятали в своей сверхсекретной базе, в том числе и тебя в капсуле.

— Это лишь часть всей моей истории, которую ты узнал, синий ежонок. Позволь мне рассказать её, если так она тебя заинтересовала, — сказал чёрный ёж, при этом медленно расхаживая вокруг синего. Тот, наблюдая за своим противником, продолжал стоять в своей стойке, чтобы не быть застигнутым врасплох. — Да, моя история начинается с того момента, как меня создали. И произошло это даже чуть более 50 лет назад. Моего создателя звали Джеральд Роботник. Он был великим учёным, который стремился помогать людям. Но при этом он создавал различных существ, которые могли помочь ему в интересах науки. И среди них был я. Может, цели и были благородные у создателя, но все эти эксперименты я бы мягко назвал не очень приятным процессом. Однако помимо учёных и подопытных я встретил свой лучик надежды в этой проклятой тьме. Её звали Мария. Она была внучкой Джеральда. Мария похоже была единственной, кто действительно беспокоился и заботился обо мне, чем эти учёные. Поклялся уничтожить всё это человечество! — прокричал чёрный с красным ёж, искрясь молниями, и ударил кулаком по прочному стеклу.

— Я понимаю твою боль, Шэдоу, — внезапно произнёс Соник, и Шэдоу посмотрел на него, перестав искриться.

— Понимаешь? Меня никто не сможет понять.

— Но я правда знаю, каково это потерять того, кто был тебе дорог… Когда я был совсем маленьким, меня опекала сова по имени Длинный коготь. Она была для меня как мать. Но потом я случайно привёл в наш дом племя ехидн. Длинный коготь спасла меня, но сама пала от их рук. Долгое время я был один, а потом я встретил Тома, Мэдди, затем — Тейлза и Наклза. Они стали моей новой семьёй.

— Как они могут быть твоей семьёй? Они даже тебе не родня! У тебя с ними нет общей крови! И ты всё же называешь их семьёй? Особенно ту ехидну, собратья которой убили твою приёмную мать?

— Семья не обязательно может быть по крови. Главное, чтобы члены семьи любили друг друга и были готовы постоять друг за друга, — попытался объяснить Соник. Шэдоу лишь недоверчиво взглянул на него.

— К тому же Наклз не виноват в этом. И мы с ним отпустили тяжёлое прошлое, чтобы можно было жить настоящим. И тебе советую поступить также. Ты ещё можешь всё исправить, Шэдоу. Пойдём со мной, и я обещаю, что ты не пожалеешь об этом, — продолжил синий, а затем протянул руку. Но чёрный лишь хмыкнул, а после обратился к собрату:

— Знаешь, я тоже хотел тебе кое-что предложить…

— И что же? — спросил его Соник.

— Понимаешь, я очень давно хотел встретиться с тобой. Та наша первая встреча была отнюдь не случайностью. Я искал тебя с момента своего освобождения из капсулы.

— Хотел встретиться? Искал меня? Для чего? Ты хотел убить меня? — не понимал синий ёж.

— О, нет. Нет. Твоё убийство не входит в мои планы. Пока что. Дело в том, что мы с тобой одной крови, или, если проще сказать, являемся братьями.

— Чтоооо?! — крикнул Соник в шоке.

— Да, мы с тобой своего рода братья, семья.

— Но как? Я же ведь родился на Мобиусе!

— Тебе просто стёрли воспоминания о колонии и отправили на другую планету. Разве это не объясняет, почему ты вообще не помнишь своих родителей? Своих настоящих, кровных?

— Но если мы с тобой братья, то тогда мы не должны между собой драться. Я могу помочь тебе. Помогу справиться с горем, хоть это и не будет легко…

— Мне не нужна в этом помощь, маленький ёжик. Я скорее хотел предложить тебе объединиться со мной…

— Объединиться? Для чего?

— Чтобы уничтожить этих ненавистных и жалких людишек! — прорычал Шэдоу, сжав левый кулак, а его глаза в то же мгновение стали ярко-красными.

— Но ты же сам работаешь с одним человеком… Почему ты тогда работаешь на Роботника, если так ненавидишь людей?

Шэдоу на его вопрос зловеще рассмеялся, Соник же недоуменно посмотрел на него.

— Ха-ха-ха-ха! Неужели… Неужели ты думал, что я, Совершенная Форма Жизни, работаю на этого самонадеянного, самовлюблённого и высокомерного человечишку? Он сам, того не зная, работает на меня! — ответил СФЖ, а дальше продолжил, почти прошипев. — Этим учёным нельзя доверять. Уверен, они ни перед чем не остановятся, чтобы поймать тебя и убить, впрочем как и твою странную семейку… Разве тебе бы не хотелось им отомстить? Чтобы они больше никогда тебя не трогали, не угрожали тебе? Присоединяйся ко мне, и мы уничтожим их и других, кто лишил нас близких нам людей, заставим их заплатить за это, — и с этими словами Шэдоу протянул руку, как ранее это сделал Соник. Сам синий ёж же задумался.

Это действительно звучало по-своему хорошо. Если он согласится на предложение, то ему больше не придётся иметь дело с гановцами, и тогда он будет жить спокойно со своей семьёй и своим братом. Соник давно хотел узнать о своей семье. Настоящей, кровной семье. Узнать своё происхождение.

Чувствовать себя своим. Его мысли внезапно отвлёк Шэдоу:

— Соглашайся, брат, и мы станем одной семьёй. Разве мы оба не хотели иметь семью?

Брат. Кровный, родной брат. Так хорошо иметь похожего на тебя. Однако понимает ли Шэдоу смысл слова «семья», помимо того, что она одной крови? Разве станет Соник счастлив с тем, кто сосредоточен на мести? К тому же, черный ёж, если так ненавидит людей, то может убить и Тома с Мэдди. Тех, кто приютил и принял синего ежа в свою семью. А Тейлз и Наклз? Они хоть не одной крови, но они также его любят, как если бы были родными братьями.

Соник, размышляя все варианты, наконец таки решился…

Сначала он потянулся, чтобы подать руку, но затем отдёрнул её. Его сородич озадаченно взглянул на него.

— Я не могу, — ответил Соник.

— Почему же? — спокойно спросил его Шэдоу.

— Если ты используешь Роботника в своих целях, то почему вдруг не захочешь использовать меня?

— Ну, доктор является всего лишь пешкой в моей игре, а вот ты играешь гораздо большую роль, чем какая-то пешка. Ты почти такой же, как и я. Создан учёными, брошен, оставлен без дорогого существа.

— Но у нас есть так же и различия! У меня есть те, за кого я могу сражаться, в то время как ты одинок, обиженный на весь мир! — добавил Соник, и от таких слов Шэдоу оскалился и зарычал.

— Шэдоу, пожалуйста, ещё не поздно сойти с тропы войны и мести. Ты ещё сможешь найти своё счастье. Ведь если ты будешь держать в себе ненависть, злость, гнев и обиду, то никогда не выберешься в свет.

— Мне нравится этот путь! И я не отступлюсь! Лучше ответь мне: «Ты со мной или нет?».

— Нет! Хоть ты мне и брат по крови, но моя настоящая семья — это члены семьи Ваковски! И если ты посмеешь хоть кого-то из них тронуть, то БУДЕШЬ… ИМЕТЬ…ДЕЛО… СО МНОЙ!!! — прокричал Соник. Его глаза из зелёных стали голубыми, а сам начал искриться голубыми молниями.

— Будь по твоему. Ты сам выбрал свою погибель, — прошипел Шэдоу, тоже покрываясь молниями. Своими глазами, ставшими из алых в ярко-красные, он злобно посмотрел на своего брата.

А затем два ежа кинулись друг на друга, и между ними началась битва…

Do you like the snow?

Sitting by the window, Tails watched the falling snow. It was so beautiful. Snowflakes were like tiny ballerinas, slowly descending down, dancing their dance.

"It's beautiful, isn't it, Tails?" — his best friend, Sonic the blue hedgehog, turned to the fox cub.

— Yeah! Very! — He agreed. — Do you like snow?

- Yes. But it wasn't very good before.

- Why? — the kid was amazed.

— You know, there was just one incident with me... when I was a child...

— Can you tell me, please? Tails asked.

"Well... that's how it was…

— Longclaw, what is it? — the little hedgehog asked his guardian, owl Longclaw. "It's snow, Sonic.

— He's so handsome. Can I touch it?

— Alright. But be careful. There are snowdrifts here that are deep for you.

But Sonic didn't listen to her and, just reaching for another snowflake, fell off the porch of the treehouse, landing straight into a snowdrift from which his tiny tail was sticking out.

"Longclaw, help me!" — the hedgehog screamed, because he could not get out himself.

The owl sighed and went downstairs.

—Sonic, I told you to be careful," she gently pulled the baby out, and he snuggled up to her, whimpering. — Sonic, didn't you like the snow? — she asked, grinning.

— No! — He said. Tears welled up in his eyes.

—Oh, come on, Sonic. It wasn't that bad, was it?

Sonic started crying in response.

—Okay, okay. Let's get you home and you can warm up there, okay?

— Yeah.

This is an alternate universe in which Sonic and Sally died, and their children (my original characters: Sammy and Ally) are being looked after by a young inventor, Tails the fox, who was like a younger brother to a hedgehog.

I was inspired to write this fanfiction by a touching moment from the cartoon "How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World", where Stoick told little Hiccup about his love for his mother.

It was an ordinary night. It was the end of August.

The stars were shining in the dark sky, and the moon was shining. Crickets could be heard singing in the forest and the distant hooting of a lonely owl, and fireflies flew in the air with small lights.

The nocturnal tranquility of nature was disturbed by someone's rustling footsteps on the grass. They belonged to a two-tailed young adult fox.

His golden fluffy fur seemed to be in the moonlight pale golden. And a light cool breeze ruffled his fur.

It was Miles Prower, also known to friends as Tails.

The two-tailed fox was walking slowly towards a familiar place where he wanted to be alone. This secluded place was a small cliff overlooking the forest, and on which a lone oak tree grew.

Coming out of the forest, the fox settled down at the roots of a tree and looked at the sky.

Tails usually liked to work late in his workshop, but this time he decided to take a break from his usual business and just retire and reflect on his own.

He sighed sadly. He chose this place for reflection for a reason. Here, in this very place, he often sat with Sonic.

He remembered how he was very lonely until he met a blue hedgehog running at supersonic speed, who became a little two-tailed fox cub's best friend, and later a loving older brother.

Tails and Sonic were inseparable. They almost always did everything together: had fun, spent time together, fought villains and saved the world.

And some time later, Sonic married chipmunk Sally Acorn, who was the leader of a group of Freedom Fighters fighting against the robots of their worst enemy, a brilliant scientist named Dr. Eggman.

This villain was constantly striving to take over the world. But Sonic, Tails and their friends always prevented him from carrying out his insidious plans to take over the world.

And no matter how angry and threatening this evil mustachioed scientist was, Sonic and his team always defeated him.

But in one day, the villain still managed to carry out one plan, the consequences of which are still shocking. Eggman was able to kill the blue hedgehog by luring him to his base, but at the same time he himself died in this battle…

That day was the scariest day of Miles's life. He couldn't believe what had happened, even when he saw his older brother's dead body. Sonic became very close to the young fox, was his family, which the two-tailed inventor missed so much, and a support for him. But that wasn't the worst of it either…

Even before his death, during the battle, Sonic asked Tails for a favor:

— Tails, if I can't come back, then please promise me to fulfill my request. Please keep an eye on Sal and the kids, okay? If it's hard for you, the others will help you. But I can only trust you with this, Tails! After all, you are the godfather for my children! Will you promise me, Tails?

"I promise,— the fox said to him then, although he wanted to add: "Why are you saying this? How can you not come back? We have always defeated the villains, we have always emerged victorious, why can't we do it here? Don't Sally and the kids need you?"

But the hedgehog raced off after Eggman, and then he died, taking with him the life of his sworn enemy.

It is unknown whether Sonic knew that this was his last battle with the enemy, or just assumed, but Tails will not find out now.…

But in addition to this, another tragedy struck the young fox, which occurred on the same day…

Sally went into premature labor. She was taken to the hospital, and doctors tried to save her and the babies. And if the babies were saved, then Sally was not. She lost too much blood, and the birth was difficult.

The twins are the only thing left of Sonic and Sally. And despite the great grief, the fox tried to be strong, at least for the sake of the kids, in memory of his friends…

Tails was distracted from these thoughts by the crackling of a branch. When he turned around, he saw no one.

— Sammy, is that you? — the fox asked the question, although he already understood who was hiding in the bushes. There was silence in response. — Come on. Come out and don't hide. I know it's you, Sammy.

After his words, a small seven-year-old blue hedgehog with brown stripes on its needles and arms appeared from hiding. He looked at Tails sheepishly with his emerald green big eyes.

"How did you know it was me?" The kid asked uncertainly.

"I guessed it,— the man replied with a grin. But then Tails looked at him sternly. "Why aren't you sleeping at this hour?"

— I… I just couldn't sleep..." the boy replied timidly.

The fox, softening in his face, then called out to him:

— Come on. Come here.

Sammy walked towards the fox and sat down next to him. As soon as the breeze blew, the baby shivered slightly. He had short fur, which could not protect him from the cold yet, so Tails covered the hedgehog with one of his fluffy tails, like a warm blanket. Sammy looked at him gratefully, and he smiled at him, after which he turned his gaze back to the sky. The two were silent for a while. But then Sammy broke the silence:

— Um... Uncle Tails?

— Yes, Sammy?

— Tell me… Do I... do Ally and I look like parents?

Tails didn't understand him.

— Well... it's just that you look at me and my sister strangely, as if you see someone else.… I look like my dad, and Ally looks like my mom, right?

Tails looked at the cub.

Sammy really did resemble Sonic the fox in some way: the same needles lowered down, the same emerald green eyes, blue fur. But at the same time, the baby inherited brown fur from his mother, which stands out on the main blue coat in the form of stripes on the needles and arms, as well as the tips of the ears and a fluffy short tail. Compared to ordinary hedgehogs, Sammy was not so much prickly as soft and fluffy to the touch. Or maybe his needles just haven't gotten sharp yet?

And Sammy's twin sister, Ally, looked a bit like Sally. She inherited from her blue eyes, the basic color of fluffy wool and even her dark red hair in the form of bangs, and from her father she got needles on her head and some blue wool on the needles, too, in the form of stripes.

After a couple of minutes, Tails finally answered the hedgehog:

— Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't think that I would embarrass you with this, — with these words, he scratched his head in embarrassment, and then continued:

— Yes, you look like your father in some ways, and Ally looks like her mother. But why this question?

— I just wanted to know what they were like when… When they were alive...

— Didn't I tell you about them?

— Well, please tell me again.

— Okay. Your father was a very brave hedgehog. He was the fastest creature in the world. He was very agile and strong. He was also a great optimist. It happened, of course, that he made inappropriate jokes or acted without carefully considering his actions… But no one is perfect, right? Sonic was like an older brother to me, whom I loved and respected. And Sally was a very good strategist. She was smart and beautiful. She was an excellent leader of Freedom Fighters. She was also loved and respected.

— And they died in one day, right?

This was a question Tails hadn't expected to hear. He didn't understand how the kid could have heard that. However, he did not deny it, because if the boy answers "no", then he will still find out the answer from somewhere. It's better to tell the truth…

— Yes.

— And Ally and I were born the day they died?

— Why are you asking this?

— I just had a thought... if my sister and I hadn't been born, then... would our parents still be alive?

— What kind of nonsense is this? How did you just come up with such an idea? Tails asked him in shock.

— Well... I had a dream about Mom and dad... me, Ally and Mom and Dad were one happy family, but... but then they disappeared, and Ally and I were left alone… Are we to blame for the fact that Mom and Dad are gone? — After these words, Sammy sobbed.

Tails pulled him closer to him.

— No, no! It's not your fault. Simply… It's just that fate happened... — the two—tailed fox whispered, trying to calm him down.

— Besides… It was so hard to see my missing parents in a dream… Maybe it's a good thing that Ally and I don't know them, because then it would be very painful… It's better to live without knowing about love than to live with it... — the kid continued, crying.

Tails was even more shocked to hear such words. He himself, when he was very young, did not think like that! He wanted his parents to be around.

Fortunately, he met Sonic, who gave him a family.

And as far as he knew, Sonic didn't have such a family either.… Among the relatives of the hedgehog was Uncle Chuck, who raised and raised his nephew.

But Tails did not scold the hedgehog for such words, instead, gently stroking his head, he said:

— Do you think that living without love is better than living with it? Alas, but you're wrong, kid. A life without love means a life without happiness, and a life without happiness is a life in vain. I loved your father like a brother who was ready to save me and all of us from any trouble. No one can replace him. But with love comes loss, Sammy. It's part of the deal. Sometimes it hurts, but in the end, it's all worth it, — after saying that, the fox winked at the baby, who had already stopped crying at that time, and then continued:

"Uncle Tails?" — Sammy asked timidly.

— Even though Ally and I didn't know our parents, but... but we're lucky to have you, Uncle Tails. You've become a wonderful father to us.

Tails was so moved by his ward's words that he even shed tears.

Noticing this, the boy became worried about his guardian: "Uncle Tails, are you all right?"

Tails, looking at the sleeping ward, smiled tenderly, after which he picked him up and kissed him on the forehead.

— I love you too, Sammy, — the fox whispered to him. The kid continued to sniff and snuggled up to the warm and so native fox fur. The fox got up carefully, so as not to wake the sleeping child, and headed home. But then he suddenly stopped. It seemed to him that someone had called him. Maybe it was just the wind? Nevertheless, Tails turned around. And he gaped at what he saw.

— Sonic? — That's all he could say.

In front of his eyes was the silhouette of a certain green-eyed hedgehog. The moonlight passed through it, making it seem barely visible.

However, by such a familiar look, by this perky look and this radiant cheerful and cheerful smile, it would be impossible not to recognize Sonic in this. And Tails recognized him as his best friend.

"Thank you, Tails," Sonic whispered, to which the fox nodded at him, and then the hedgehog disappeared.

Tails stood for a few more minutes, but remembering the baby clinging to his chest, he chuckled softly and went home.

Тейлз после тяжёлой работы в мастерской решил перекусить, а заодно сесть на диван и посмотреть что-нибудь интересное по телевизору. Но его планы нарушил громкий стук в дверь. Причём кто-то стучал так сильно, будто готов был сломать дверь своими кулачищами. Юный лис поспешил открыть дверь до того, как её разрушат. — Иду, иду, — сказал он, а сам думал: «Интересно, кого это принесло ко мне?». Но при этом он догадывался, кто это был. Открыв дверь, он увидел на пороге своего лучшего друга синего ежа Соника. — Привет, Тейлз! — поздоровался тот, вытянуто улыбаясь. Было видно, что ёж очень сильно нервничал, поскольку еле заметно дрожал, а также тяжело дышал. Он явно от кого-то удирал, раз запыхался. — Привет, Соник, — небрежно бросил Тейлз. — Ты что-то хотел? — Что? С чего ты это решил, Тейлз? Я всего лишь пришёл навестить своего лучшего друга, — промолвил ёж, улыбаясь во всю ширь.

— Просто что-то мне подсказывает, что ты не просто так решил ко мне зайти. Выкладывай, что там у тебя случилось.

Соник вздохнул, уже не скрывая своей проблемы, а затем начал:

— Ну… Понимаешь… В общем… Мне нужно срочно спрятаться! — на последних словах ёж закричал, размахивая руками.

— Дай угадаю… От Эми, да?

— Да. Значит, ты мне поможешь?

— Сначала расскажи, что на этот раз ты такое сделал, что разозлил её?

— Ну… Дело было так…

Воспоминание

Соник, весело присвистывая, шёл себе, ни о чём не думая, как вдруг…

— Сониииик!

«Ох, опять Эми… Что на сей раз она хочет мне показать?» — подумал ёж. Его весёлое настроение тут же улетучилось.

— Вот ты где, Соник! А я тебя искала, — кокетливо пропела розовая ежиха.

— А для чего? — спросил он её. Та притворно замялась.

— Просто я тут купила новые духи… И я решила, что они тебе понравятся, поэтому я и подушилась ими…

— Ну да. Запах есть. Правда, он слабоватый, поэтому… — Сонику так-то было всё равно, и он просто хотел улизнуть от ежихи.

— Может быть мне ещё подушиться, чтоб аромат был сильнее? — предложила Эми и, вытащив из сумки розовый бутылёк, принялась брызгаться. Синий ёж на самом деле и так чувствовал аромат, но когда его подруга сильнее побрызгала духами, то от запаха духов у него засвербило в носу. Пошевелив носом, он спустя мгновение очень громко чихнул:

— Ааааапчхииии!!!

После того, как он чихнул, он понял, что произошло, когда увидел оторопевшее лицо Эми. Она, хлопая ресницами, смотрела на своё платье, покрытое содержимым, которое на неё попало.

— Соник… — постепенно закипала от злости ежиха. — Ты только что…

— Эми, прости! Я… Я не хотел! Это случайность!

— Чихнул на меня!!! — закончила речь она, разозлившись не на шутку, и гневно посмотрела на несчастного.

— Ты чихнул на Эми?! — Тейлз был не в меньшем шоке от услышанного. — Да ты с ума сошел! Она же тебя съест с потрахами!

— Ну, я же нечаянно… — оправдывался Соник.

— За нечаянно бьют отчаянно! И я так полагаю, ты ищешь сейчас укрытие от разъяренной фурии?

— Верно. Ты же спрячешь меня, да? — с надеждой спросил Соник.

— Нет.

— Но…

— Я в прошлые разы тебе помогал, и каждый раз после этого у меня были неприятности в виде беспорядка и погрома в моём доме и моей мастерской, — твёрдо сказал лис.

— Но, Тейлз, прошу, помоги! Я и так прятался, где мог, но она меня находила! Причём постоянно! Я просто не знаю, куда мне деться… — и ёж умоляюще посмотрел на друга.

— Нет.

— Но, пожалуйста… Пожалуйста… Пожалуйста… — Соник встал на колени и сложил руки вместе лодочкой. — Проси чего хочешь, только помоги мне.

— Нет, Соник. Мне хватило прошлых разов.

— Тееееейлз, я не хочу умираааать… Пожалуйста, помогиииии… — принялся рыдать ёж, заодно схватив Тейлза за ноги. Тот попытался уйти, однако у него ничего не вышло, а Соник, как назло, продолжал рыдать и умолять о помощи. И тут внезапно раздался откуда-то издалека женский голос:

— Соник, ты где? Выходи и не прячься, я всё равно тебя найду!

Соник испуганно посмотрел на друга, едва услышав Эми. Тейлз тяжело вздохнул и сжалился над несчастным ежом.

— Ладно. Так и быть, я помогу тебе.

— Спасибо! Спасибо! Спасибо! — Соник тут же подскочил и даже хотел поцеловать в благодарность друга, но тот, выставив руки, не подпускал его к себе поближе.

— Только без поцелуев, ладно? Пошли, я найду тебе укрытие, — и с этими словами два друга вошли в дом.

Спустя некоторое время в дверь постучали. Тейлз, открыв её, увидел стоящую на пороге Эми Роуз.

— Привет, Тейлз. Ты не видел Соника? — стараясь выглядеть дружелюбно, поинтересовалась розовая ежиха.

— Привет, Эми. Не, не видел.

— Ты уверен? Что-то мне подсказывает, что он прячется у тебя. Дашь мне осмотреть твой дом? — и не дав ответить лису, она вошла вовнутрь.

— Вообще-то врываться в чей-то дом — это плохо, — сделал замечание он.

— Ну, считай, что я в гости к тебе зашла. В конце концов, я же твой друг.

— Друг-то друг… Да только в гости без приглашения пришла…

— Ты что-то сказал, Тейлз? — задала вопрос Эми и обернулась, глядя на двухвостого, прищурившись.

— Не, ничего. Тебе показалось, — поспешно ответил тот.

— Ну смотри у меня, — произнесла она, зайдя на кухню, а после крикнула:

— Ага!

— Что? Что там? — обеспокоенно спросил Тейлз, тоже зайдя на кухню. Он недоуменно посмотрел на девушку, стоящую у стола.

— А ты говорил, что не видел Соника… Он здесь! И где-то прячется…

— А с чего ты решила?

— Да потому, что только Соник может оставлять после себя крошки, когда поест! Видишь? — и она указала на крошки от съеденного чилидога на тарелке и столе.

Тейлз вздохнул. А ведь он говорил ежу, чтобы тот не брал его чилидог, поскольку Эми очень наблюдательна, это во-первых. А во-вторых, чилидог был приготовлен для себя, а не гостя.

Девушка, довольно ухмыльнувшись, вышла из кухни и принялась осматривать остальную часть дома изобретателя. Она смотрела, где только могла дотянуться: за диваном, под диваном, за телевизором, под ковром, за фикусами, в холодильнике, в духовке и ещё многих других местах…

Да только Соника она не могла найти.

Она зашла в спальню и, заметив, бугор под одеялом, злобно усмехнувшись, начала подкрадываться к кровати.

— Эми, стой! — крикнул Тейлз.

Но ежиха его не послушала, взяла одеяло и…остолбенела от увиденного…

На постели лежала большая куча подушек.

— Вот облом… — пробурчала она, а потом обернулась к лису. — Тейлз, почему у тебя подушки кучей лежат?

— Ну, забыл убрать на место. Я потому и испугался, что ты увидишь мой небольшой беспорядок. Хехе.

Розовая ежиха вздохнула и пошла дальше искать Соника. Облазив весь ангар, она направилась в мастерскую.

Войдя в мастерскую, она обратила внимание на шкаф. Как только она подошла к нему, Тейлз тут же её окликнул:

— Эми, не открывай!

— А в чём дело? Может, именно там спрятался Соник? — она потянулась к ручке.

— Да там опасные вещества!

— Что?

— Я специально храню пробирки и колбы с реактивами вот в этом шкафу. Ты же не хочешь надышаться газами этих веществ, верно?

— Нет, не хочу.

— Тогда не трогай!

— Хорошо. Не буду.

— Пойдём. Я помогу тебе в поисках, дабы убедить тебя, что Соника здесь нет, — произнёс Тейлз, и Эми кивнула.

Только они сделали пару шагов, как раздался чих. Ежиха обернулась.

— Пчхи, — изобразил Тейлз для вида, будто это он только что чихнул.

— Будь здоров.

— Ага… Спасибо, — и лис для наглядности потёр нос.

А спустя мгновение изобретатель также и прокашлялся.

— Тейлз, а ты случаем… Не заболел? — забеспокоилась Эми.

— Я здоров, просто… Я думаю, что всё дело в духах, — немного покашливая, ответил он ей.

— А что не так с моими духами? — возмутилась та.

— А собственно, что сделал Соник, что ты разозлилась на его?

— Я не разозлилась!

— Да? Всякий раз, когда ты ищешь так Соника, то ты именно в плохом настроении.

— Ладно, разозлилась на него… Потому что он чихнул на меня! Но причём тут мои духи?

— Просто я думаю, что из-за сильного запаха твоих духов Соник и чихнул. Скорее всего, он не хотел именно на тебя чихать, просто так вышло. И мне кажется, что он и так чувствует себя виноватым за это. Но и ты тут тоже виновата.

— Я?

— Да. Если бы ты не стала использовать духи с таким сильным и пахучим запахом, то этого бы не случилось. Разве не так?

— Наверное, ты прав, — согласилась ежиха, слегка грустно вздохнув. — Я просто хотела впечатлить Соника новыми духами…

— А ты не подумала, что у Соника также могла быть аллергия на тот или иной запах духов? В конце концов, он мог и из-за этого чихнуть.

— Думаю, я поняла, что ты имеешь ввиду…

— Да тебе и не нужны духи, чтобы быть привлекательной. Ты и так милая и симпатичная девушка, — попытался подбодрить подругу лис.

— Спасибо, — произнесла она, немного смутившись.

— Значит… Ты простишь Соника?.. — поинтересовался он.

— Думаю, да…

— Правда? — задал вопрос Соник, неожиданно выскочив из шкафа.

«Вот дурак!» — подумал Тейлз, и шлёпнул себя по лбу.

— Соник, а ты что там делаешь? Неужели ты там прятался?.. — удивлённо спросила Эми. Соник замер, как истукан, предчувствуя что-то нехорошое.

— Ты там прятался от меняяяя?! — и тут же в руке ежихи появился огромный молот. — А ты говорил, что в шкаф нельзя заглядывать! — взвизгнула она, обращаясь к двухвостому механику.

— А я и не знал, что он там прятался, — промолвил он, стараясь показать своим видом, что вообще в этом не замешан.

— С тобой разберусь позже, а с тобой… — обратилась она уже к Сонику, который попытался сбежать, но замер, когда к нему обратились, — я с тобой ещё не закончила!

И ежиха, размахивая молотом, погналась за Соником.

— Ааааааааа! Спасиииитеееее! Тейлз, выручааааай!

— Прости, но нет. Я и так тебе помог, Соник, но ты сам себя выдал, поэтому сам и выкручиваться как-нибудь, — ответил Тейлз и поспешил выйти наружу, прекрасная осознавая, что сейчас эти двое устроят большой погром в его доме.

«Надеюсь, Крим не будет против, если зайду в гости без приглашения», — подумал он, решив пойти к своей подружке крольчихе, а заодно погостить у неё, пока двое ежей решали свой конфликт.

А тем временем, розовая ежиха продолжала гоняться за несчастным синим ежом.

— А ну стоять, Соник! Стой, кому говорю?! — кричала Эми Роуз, разрушая молотом всё, что попадалось на глаза.

— Мамааа! — вопил Соник, всячески уворачиваясь от грозного оружия.

И они так продолжали погоню ещё очень-очень долгое время…
