(DC's situation with queer characters is way better than marvel, no doubt, they are eons more progressive (they are not perfect and still do some crappy stuff, but as far as huge companies as them go they're great), but I still need it I can't handle this baiting I need you to do just a tiny bit better DC. I know Charles is obviously bisexual within the context of the show (there is no way he's straight), and he and Edwin were said canonically by Steve Yackey they'll develop their relationship beyond friendship in season 2 (if it will be able to come out) in an interview.

But I still need DC to canonically confirm Charles as bi. I cannot go through this again. I am sick of baiting. Yes he's obviously bi but I still need to hear it announced. I need it to be absolute, to shush anyone who would doubt it.

I feel like people forgot that redemption arc doesn't mean making the fans forgive the character.

Redemption arc is a process of a character actively trying to change their ways in order to redeem themselves from their past dids.

It's not just "I did bad things but I'm good now" (AHEM CATRA FROM SHE-RA).

If I killed a person but saved a life it does not compensate the life I took, I'm not "redeemed".

I LOVE good redemption stories but sometimes I feel like society forgot what redemption arc stands for. A lot of times it became to just making a bad character do good things so people will like/forgive them, not an actual redemption.

Please please someone help me figure this out.

I don't read a lot of marvel comics so I don't know what's happening there.

Why there are 2 different versions of America Chavez??

There is the 2017 run "America" where she has a grandmother and she's an alien she goes to her planet.

She has this whole experience.

But then in modern comics she's a child that was done experiments on??

Update: I have discovered that the other character I like was also because of hidden deep trauma that made me relate to them.

Being in the Hell-verse fandom is like

Oh why is this character my favourite?

It's because we have similar trauma and I relate to that character deeply I feel so much pain and emotions through them they describe my trauma perfectly.

And why is this other character also in my top favourite characters?

Because they're a cool ass bad bitch, I like them.
