this makes me think of being nonbinary. a color that no one else has seen before, so many people are used to it only being male and female they dont know what nonbinary is. if we put that in terms of color, based on society’s shit standards male = blue, female = pink. the color people arent used to, purple for nonbinary

“i hope that she looks at me and thinks shit he’s so pretty”

this could be a transmasc / trans ftm person who has changed their look or even medically transitioned talking about their younger self. their younger self seeing how they look now and thinking its cool, that they’re pretty / handsome
