anyway I’ve been stuck on what in particular really kickstarts nights breakdown and I can’t believe I didn’t see it because OBVIOUSLY it’s because she sees, really sees, finch and the others doing violent stuff after starclan falls, and she realises that obviously it’s her fault because SHE saw that finch (with finch as a personification of all the df cats) was like that from the start (finch literally kills FOR night to get into the df in the first place) and in order to have any chance against starclan she ignored that and even like. cultivated that. so obviously finch isn’t the monster, it’s not finch’s fault, it’s hers. She’s the monster. and finch believes the opposite. anyway waht am I saying

being fully aware of what characters I like is SO EMBARRASSINGG. because I see it coming like it’s in slow motion. oh I suddenly have this interest in a franchise I haven’t cared about in ages. WHY?? because someone made the decision to include a character who’s mean and selfish and antagonist material (like can and probably should be hated) and what made them that way was not entirely fault of their own but you can also argue that it was and they could kill you AND they’re doomed from the start. like. fuck you. I’m already sobbing.
ok seeing the space robot movie did not fix the devastation it in fact made it worse

was literally just minding my own business yesterday and transformers franchise hit me in the face
trying to add another longer chapter to one of stardust’s parts is killlinggg meeee. I think actually I can’t write novel-style anymore im stuck with short tiny one-shots that I can pack with figurative language without anything actually happening

DINOSAUR AU? idk im in a dinosaur mood
I employed a lot of artistic freedom with anatomy lol.. (and mistakes, night should have 3 toes not 4). especially for xuanhanosaurus it has like 2 images that were actually useful. But I wanted night to be that size + look like a bigger theropod (both of them are roughly the same height as a human I think it’s cute)

I say it has 3 ‘stories’ mostly for lack of a better word, more like main chunks of time that specifically are important. I included the characters to give an idea of where in the timeline I’m referring to with art or names etc. (you can tell if a Night I’ve posted is from stardust or shattered loyalty if her shoulder scar is visible - she has it in SL but not in stardust - she and a few other characters appear in both of those, obviously, as SL covers the dark forest revolt against starclan)
this bit was part of a thing I was making with a few other world-info guides but I’m not going to continue the rest of it.. thought the timeline stuff would be beneficial to post still :]
